Maxwell-St. Pat's competed in District play this past week. They entered district play with a 2-7 record, including wins against Sedgwick County back in March, and then, on April 28th, they beat Centennial by a final score of 8-1.
Maxwell-St. Pat's competed in the C-1 District, which was hosted by the #1 seed Malcolm. Maxwell-St. Pat's was the #5 seed. On Thursday, May 7th, they played #4-seeded Palmra, which came in with a 1-17 record.

In the game, Palmyra jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. They kept things rolling as they scored a couple more, and heading to the top of the third inning, Palmyra led 6-0. From there, Maxwell-St. Pat's began their comeback. They scored two runs in the top of the third inning to cut the deficit to 6-2. Then, in the top of the fourth inning, they scored another, and it was 6-3.

Palmyra countered with a couple of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to make it 8-3. Maxwell-St. Pat's made a comeback bid, scoring two runs in both the top of the sixth and seventh innings, but they couldn't quite complete the comeback.

Palmyra had seven hits and three errors. Maxwell-St. Pat's had eight hits and one error.
Maxwell St. Pat's ends the season at 2-8.
