Round two of the RPAC Boy's Basketball Tournament concluded tonight. Read below to find the results and an updated bracket.
The west side was hosted by Hitchcock County and the games were played in Trenton.
The first game of the evening on the west side featured #6 seeded Maxwell versus #7 seeded Wauneta-Palisade. The Wildcats won in convincing fashion, 53-30.
Maxwell moves on in the consolation bracket to play #5 seeded Wallace on Friday in Paxton at 4:15 P.M.
In the second game on Tuesday evening, it was #4 seeded Hitchcock County battling against #1 seed Maywood-Hayes Center. The Wolves won 45-35 and they will face #2 seeded Dundy County Stratton, in the semifinals at 7:45 P.M. in Paxton.
For Hitchcock County, they will face #3 seeded Paxton in the consolation bracket on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. in Paxton.
In the final game of the evening, #2 seeded Dundy County Stratton faced #3 seeded Paxton. Dundy County Stratton won by 10, 60-50. Dundy County Stratton will play #1 seeded Maywood-Hayes Center in semifinals on Friday at 7:45 P.M.
Paxton will take on #4 seeded Hitchcock County on Friday at 6:00 P.M. in the consolation bracket.
The east side was hosted by Medicine Valley and the games were played in Curtis.
In the first game of the evening in Curtis was #7 seeded Medicine Valley versus #6 seeded Southwest. The Raiders were able to get the win as they took down the Roughriders 56-50.
Medicine Valley will play on Friday against #4 seed Southern Valley at 4:15 P.M. in Bertrand, in the consolation bracket.
In the second game of the evening, Bertrand the #5 seed upset Alma, the #1 seed in overtime 41-38. Bertrand will play in the semifinals on Friday night versus Cambridge at 7:45 P.M. in Bertrand. For Alma, they will battle #3 seeded Arapahoe on Friday at 6:00 P.M.
For the 7:45 P.M. game, the #2 seed Cambridge, faced #3 seeded Arapahoe. Cambridge was able to win 57-43. The Trojans will play #5 seeded Bertrand on Friday, in Bertrand at 7:45 P.M.
Arapahoe will play #1 seed Alma on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. in Bertrand.
