RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 12/31



Teams got back to it this week after the NSAA Moratorium. Between Holiday Tournaments and just regular head-to-head matchups, it was a busy week of hoops again.


Alma

Alma has taken the Holiday Break off and they will be back in action on January 4th when they battle Franklin. Alma is 9-0 this season.


Arapahoe

As you may have seen we spent time at the Bob Braithwait Arapahoe Holiday Tournament. Check out Thursday's results here and Friday's results here. Arapahoe is 5-5 this season and will play Maxwell on Tuesday at home, and then Medicine Valley at home Friday. Their game against Maxwell is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.





Bertrand

The Vikings played in the Elm Creek Holiday Tournament on Thursday and Friday. First, they fell to Arcadia-Loup City 42-32. The Vikings bounced back nicely on day two of the tournament, beating Gibbon 50-36.


Bertrand is now 2-5 this season. They will play Wilcox-Hildreth Tuesday at home, and then go to Southern Valley on Thursday. Thursday's game is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.


Cambridge

Cambridge had a big week with a pair of games. On Friday, they hosted #5 Maywood-Hayes Center and won a close battle, 58-55. Carson Trompke took over in this one as he scored 25 points. Krayton Ruggles put up 13 in the game too.


The Trojans hit the road on Saturday to play Paxton and that was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. You can read the game story here.


Cambridge is 7-3 and will play Norton on Tuesday at home and at Southwest on Friday.




Dundy County Stratton

The Tigers had a pair of games in the Axtell Holiday Tournament on Friday and Saturday, They played Chambers-Wheeler Central on Friday and won 58-50. Lane Bybee had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. August Shaw had 12 points in the game.


In the championship game against Axtell, DCS lost 45-37. Jackson Kerchal had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.


DCS is 7-2 and will play Chase County at home on Tuesday and at Wray, Colorado on Saturday.





Hitchcock County

The Falcons competed in the Brady Holiday Tournament. First, they beat Brady in the opening round, 67-26. Following that win, they played Loomis on Saturday in the championship game. They lost, 65-55. Entering the fourth quarter, they trailed Loomis 42-36.


But with a huge offensive output from both teams, 23 from Loomis and 19 from Hitchcock County, the Wolves secured the win. The Falcons are 4-4 and will be at Southwest on Tuesday and then host Wauneta-Palisade on Friday.


Maywood-Hayes Center

The Wolves came back from the break with a matchup against a rising team in the conference. They played at Cambridge and fell in a close one, 58-55. Jeremiah Ingison had another double-double as he scored 27 points and 12 rebounds. Haydn Farr added 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists.


The #5 Wolves are 8-2 and will be at Hi-Line on Tuesday, and then host Paxton Friday which will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.




Maxwell

Maxwell was off during this past week. They will play at Arapahoe on the road Tuesday which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, at Hershey on Friday, and at home versus Overton on Saturday. The Wildcats are 1-6.


Medicine Valley

The Raiders were off during the Holiday Break. They will next play at Arapahoe on Friday. The Raiders are 3-5 on the year.


Paxton

Paxton hosted Cambridge for a matchup on Saturday. Paxton won and it was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. You can read the game story here. They are 5-4 and will play home versus Leyton on Thursday and then at Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday which we will be at for coverage.





Southern Valley

Southern Valley played in the Arapahoe Holiday Tournament. Check out Thursday's results here and Friday's results here.  The Eagles are 6-4 and will play Bertrand Thursday which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.


Southwest

Southwest did not have any games this last week. They are 3-6 and this week they will play Hitchcock County at home, Cambridge Friday at home, and at Wauneta-Palisade on Saturday.





Wallace

Wallace competed in the Bob Braithwait Arapahoe Holiday Tournament. Check out Thursday's results here and Friday's results here. Wallace is 4-6 and will host Arthur County on Friday and be at Mullen on Saturday.


Wauneta-Palisade

The Broncos did not have a game last week. They are 0-8 this season and will play Hitchcock County on Friday on the road, and host Southwest on Saturday.
