RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 2/22

We have wrapped up the regular season folks. And now, the postseason begins. But before we get to that, let's recap the previous week's action for RPAC Boys Basketball Hoops.
Alma
The Cardinals had one game last week and it was against Arapahoe.
Alma won big, 75-7. The Cardinals shot 54% from the field. Grady Faimon led the scoring with 16 points, and Zavier Mitchell had 11. 10 Cardinal players scored.
Alma is now 23-1 and will play in the C2-7 Subdistrict. They are the #1 seed and will begin play on Tuesday against either #4 seed H&H or #5 seed Thayer Central. The game will be in Alma at 7:30 P.M. CT.

Arapahoe
Arapahoe closed out its regular season with a game against Alma. They fell in the matchup, 75-7. Aiden Roush had five points. Arapahoe is 0-22 and will play in the D1-11 Subdistrict. They are the #5 seed and will play #4 seed Southern Valley on Monday in Bertrand at 6:30 P.M. CT.
Bertrand
The Bertrand Vikings played Cambridge on the road on Friday. The Vikings had beaten Cambridge earlier in the season, but this time they lost, 49-42. Bertrand led 10-3 after the first quarter, but Cambridge got things going and secured the win. Scottie Bieker had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Vikings.
Bertrand is now 19-5 and is the #1 seed in the D1-11 Subdistrict. They will host the sub and await the winner of #4 Southern Valley versus #5 Arapahoe, and they will play on Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. CT.
Cambridge
Cambridge hosted Bertrand on Friday and won a big one, 49-42. Bertrand led 10-3 after the first quarter, but Cambridge got things going and secured the win. For the Trojans, Brady Ahlemeyer had 19 points, and Maverick Webb scored 15 points.
Cambridge is now 14-8 and will play in the D1-11 Subdistrict. Cambridge is the #2 seed and will play #3 seed Southwest on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. CT.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers of DCS played Medicine Valley this past week in their regular-season finale. The Tigers won by a final of 69-39. Four Tigers were in double-figures as Ethan Latta had 16 points, Cooper Shaw scored 10, and Dante Horner and August Shaw each had 13 points.
DCS is now 18-5 and will compete in the tough C2-10 Subdistrict as the #4 seed. They will play #5 seed Perkins County on Monday in Benkelman at 6:00 P.M. MT.

Hi-Line
The Bulls played Elm Creek on Friday and lost, 91-43. The Bulls are now 8-14 and will play in the C2-9 Subdistrict. They will face #5 seed Superior on Monday at 5:00 P.M. CT. Sandy Creek is the host site.
Hitchcock County
The Falcons played Bridgeport last week and dropped the game 72-36. Jayce Hauxwell scored 13 points in the game. Jack Baker was the next leading scorer with six points. The Falcons are 13-11 and will play Maywood-Hayes Center in the first round of the D1-12 Subdistrict. Hitchcock County is the #3 seed, and Maywood-Hayes Center is the #2 seed. That sub is hosted by North Platte St. Pat's and will be at 7:00 P.M. CT on Tuesday.
Maxwell
Maxwell did not have a game this week. They will compete in the D1-12 subdistrict as the #4 seed, and they will play Morrill, the #5 seed, on Monday at 6:00 P.M. CT. Maxwell is 7-16.
Maywood-Hayes Center
MHC faced Perkins County on Friday and lost the game, 54-42. MHC is now 15-8, they are the #2 seed in the D1-12 subdistrict and will play #3 seed Hitchcock County on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. CT at North Platte St. Pat's.

Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley played against Class C2 Dundy County Stratton on Friday and lost, 69-39. Mason Roblee scored 16 points and had eight rebounds. Lucas Einspahr totaled 16 points. The Raiders are now 13-9 and will play in the D2-8 Subdistrict. They are the #2 seed and will face #3 seed Sandhills-Thedford on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. CT. This sub is hosted by SEM.
Paxton
The Paxton Tigers played a tough opponent on Friday, North Platte St. Pat's. Paxton lost, 60-49. The Tigers led 47-43 heading to the final quarter. But a 17-2 period from the Irish allowed them to secure the win. Maddex McConnell had 21 points, Tristen Hebblethwaite had 9 points and 14 rebounds, and Chase Holm scored 11.

Southern Valley
Southern Valley played Axtell on and won by a final of 63-19. Houston Hunt had a big game; 27 points and was 9-15 from three-point range. The nine threes is a new school record for the Eagles. The Eagles are the #4 seed with a 5-17 record in the D1-11 Subdistrict and will play the #5 seed Arapahoe on Monday at 6:30 P.M. CT.
Southwest
The Roughriders played Sanhills Valley last week and came away with a 58-28 win. Houston Billeter scored 25 points and had 11 points and 10 steals. So you know what that totaled, a triple-double, and he had four blocks. Deric Kelley had 15 points, and Brody Hammond had 10.
Southwest is 9-13 and will be in the D1-11 Subdistrict as the #3 seed. They will play on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. CT in Bertrand against the #2 seed Cambridge.

Sutherland
Sutherland had one game last week, against South Platte. The Sailors got a win 45-42. Mason Mortimer had 12 points, and Zayn Green had 10 points. Green had an awesome game, rebounding with 19 of them.
The Sailors are now 6-15 and will compete in the D2-9 Subdistrict on Monday against #5 seed Wauneta-Palisade. The game is in Wallace at 6:00 P.M. CT.
Wallace
Wallace played against Creek Valley on Friday and won big, 69-32. Colt Franklin had a monster game with 26 points and 18 rebounds. Max Hanson had 13 points and five steals. The Wildcats were excellent on the glass, collecting 42 rebounds, and 19 of them were offensive.
Wallace is now 17-7 and will compete in the D2-8 Subdistrict. They will play Tuesday, as the #1 seed against either #4 Sutherland or #5 Wauneta-Palisade

Wauneta-Palisade
The Broncos played against Arthur County to close out the regular season last week. Wauneta-Palisade lost by a final of 56-38.
Wauneta-Palisade is 1-20 and will play as the #5 seed against #4 seed Sutherland on Monday at 6:00 P.M. CT in the D2-8 Subdistrict in Wallace.
