The fall sports season is underway, and the RPAC cross country teams hit the course on Thursday. Wauneta-Palisade also has a cross country team this season, so it will be fun to watch that program grow throughout the season. Check out the blog!

Dundy County Stratton Invite, 8/28

*Note: This race was a 3200-meter course for both the boys and the girls.

Arapahoe

Natalie Breinig led the Warriors and placed 7th with a time of 15:39.52, Alaina Leising placed 12th with a time of 17:13.18, and Carli Rathbun placed 15th with a time of 22:19.17. Elena Lee finished in 16th, just out of the medals, with a time of 23:52.91, and Aubrie Holstein finished 17th with a time of 25:00.54.


Cambridge

Lydia McGowen led Cambridge with a 3rd place finish and a time of 13:32.49, Briar Gunderson placed 5th with a time of 15:03.63, Katie Fegley placed 8th with a time of 15:39.72, Kylie Koeppen placed 10th with a time of 16:03.79, and Jensyn Weiss placed 11th with a time of 16:09.61.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Carly Softley paced the Wolves with her 2nd place finish and a time of 13:29.86, Ayleen Hernandez placed 9th with a time of 15:49.58, and Brianna Vapenik placed 14th with a time of 18:51.41.


Southwest

Alyssa Koch is the lone Roughrider and snagged a 13th-place medal with her time of 18:10.84.

Hunter Larson placed 9th with a time of 12:53.41, Layton Hamel placed 11th with a time of 13:21.91, and Eli Carpenter placed 15th with a time of 13:55.95. Thomas Magorian just missed a medal as he finished 16th with a time of 14:08.23, and Jordan Holstein finished 22nd with a time of 14:46.70.


Cambridge

Braden Sandfort placed 4th with a time of 12:14.88, Henry Shoemaker placed 8th with a time of 12:52.61, and Carter Shoemaker placed 12th with a time of 13:22.11. Colton Gross finished 18th with a time of 14:27.24, and Dalton Houser finished 25th with a time of 15:41.71.


Dundy County Stratton

Xander Cardoza placed 6th with a time of 12:27.28. DJ Stamm finished 17th with a time of 14:09.91, and Nate Haskell finished 24th with a time of 15:27.38.


Hitchcock County

David Peaslee placed 10th with a time of 13:21.70, and Connor Latta finished 21st with a time of 14:43.64.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Aaron Lawson placed 13th with a time of 13:33.95. Steven Werkmeister finished 23rd with a time of 14:57.76, and Clayton Mahanes finished 26th with a time of 16:54.28.


Southwest

Aiden Guilliams placed 14th with a time of 13:34.16. Caleb Heskett finished 20th with a time of 14:43.48, and Shie King finished 27th with a time of 21:28.38.

Max Hanson led the Wildcats with a 13th-place finish and a time of 18:38. Tristan Manary finished 22nd with a time of 19:23, Bradley Hanson finished 29th with a time of 20:03, and Wyatt Robertson finished 40th with a time of 20:50.
