RPAC Football Results as of 10/26

The football season keeps rolling on. The first round Class D1 and D2 playoffs is in the books, and 6-man has wrapped up its regular season.


Let's dive into the results and we will have links to the playoff brackets.

D1 Playoffs


#26 Alma @ #7 Plainview


Alma made the trip to Plainview on Thursday for a matchup in the Class D1 Playoffs. The Cardinals fell with a 43-8 loss. Alma closes the season with a final record of 4-5.


#31 Elkhorn Valley @ #2 Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers hosted Elkhorn Valley in the first round of the Class D1 Playoffs on Thursday. The Tigers won big, 49-6. Dante Horner was 6-9 passing with 90 yards and three touchdowns. Horner had 62 yards rushing, too. Ethan Latta had 146 yards rushing, 65 yards receiving, and three touchdowns. Kevin Garcia had 24 yards and a score.


Breck Horner had 21 yards and a touchdown receiving, and August Shaw had two catches for 14 yards and a touchdown. Brock Bailey had 10 tackles to lead DCS, Noah Zoltenko had 3.5 TFLs, and Carlos Diaz had nine tackles. Zoltenk had a sack, and so did Breck Horner. Garcia had an interception.


DCS is now 9-0 and will play #15 McCool Junction on Friday at 2:00 P.M. MT at home. That will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.



D2 Playoffs


#23 Cambridge @ #10 Loomis


Cambridge went to Loomis for the first round of the Class D2 Playoffs. It was also a rematch from earlier in the season. On Thursday, Cambridge lost 66-30. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can read the game story here.


Cambridge ends the season at 5-4.

#30 Franklin @ #3 Hitchcock County


The Falcons hosted Franklin on Thursday for the Class D2 Playoffs. Hitchcock County won by a final in this rematch 42-14. The Falcons had 340 yards rushing and 0 passing yards. Grady Erickson had 166 yards and four touchdowns. Jack Baker had 103 yards and two touchdowns.


Brody Hubl had 14 tackles, and Karson Shuler had 11 tackles. Both Shuler and Jayce Hauxwell had an interception.


The Falcons are now 9-0 and will play #19 Twin Loup on Friday, in Trenton at 7:00 P.M. CT. That will be an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.





#22 Maxwell @ #11 Mullen


Maxwell had a rematch on the road against Mullen in the Class D2 playoffs. Maxwell dropped the game 54-13. The Wildcats end the season at 5-4.







D6 Regular Season


Medicine Valley @ Wauneta-Palisade


Medicine Valley went to Wauneta-Palisade on Friday and won a close one, 53-51. The Raiders led 34-18 at halftime. The Broncos climbed back into it and almost completed the comeback. Nathan Hiett had 159 yards passing for four touchdowns. Kameran McCrumb had 148 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Kreyton Wiese had 88 yards. Wyatt Hilbert had 113 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Wiese had 46 yards and a touchdown.


The Raiders close the season at 3-5. The Broncos are 4-4, the #15 seed, and will play the #2 seed Red Cloud on the road on Friday at 5:30 P.M. CT.



Paxton @ Southwest


Southwest hosted Paxton on Friday and won 55-13. Houston Billeter had 133 yards passing and four scores. He also had 57 yards rushing and one touchdown. Bo Truksa had 23 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Day had 53 yards and a touchdown. Deric Kelley had 56 yards receiving and three touchdowns, and Gage Hammond had 37 yards and a score.


Paxton closes the season at 1-6. Southwest moves to 8-0 and is the #3 seed in Class D6, and they will host Lewiston on Friday in Bartley at 6:00 P.M. CT.





Wallace @ SEM


Wallace and SEM, a pair of teams in the top-10 in D6, battled on Friday. SEM got the win, 54-40. Wallace led at halftime, 34-24. But, SEM outscored the Wildcats 30-6 to win the game. Colt Franklin was 9-14 passing with five touchdowns. Tyson Sullivan had 84 yards, and Ashtin Johns had 58 yards and a score on the ground. Brayden Gardner had 108 yards and two touchdowns receiving. Johns had 50 yards and a touchdown, Ivan Aceves had 48 yards and two scores. Aceves had 10 tackles.


Wallace is now 6-2 and is the #10 seed in Class D6 and will play #7 seed Hampton on Friday at 7:00 P.M. CT.
