We have completed Week 6 of the football season. Let's dive into the results.
Reminder, here are the District Assignments for RPAC Football Teams
D1-9: Dundy County Stratton, Alma, Hi-Line, Southern Valley, and Arapahoe
D1-10: Sutherland
D2-8: Bertrand, Cambridge, Hitchcock County, and Maywood-Hayes Center
D2-9: Maxwell
D6-4 Paxton, Medicine Valley, Southwest, Wallace, and Wanuneta-Palisade
Alma vs Arapahoe
This was a thriller on Friday night in a D1-9 District Battle. Alma ended up winning the game, 36-34. It was tied up 6-6 at halftime, then it was 14-12 going to the fourth in favor of Alma, and both teams put up 22 points in the final period.
For Arapahoe, Briggs Holl had 147 yards rushing and two touchdowns, Hayden Sich had 214 yards and a score on 35 carries. Rigley McDonald had 18 yards and a touchdown. As a team they had 379 yards rushing.
On defense, Trey Downey had five tackles and a sack. McDonald had eight tackles. Hill and Sich each had an interception. Sich had a fumble recovery too.
For Alma, West Bennett was 19-34 with 258 yards and five scores. Tucker Biskup had 114 yards receiving and a score, Isaiah Neal had 43 yards and a touchdown, and Zane Clark had 101 yards and three touchdowns.
Defensivley, Neal had 21 tackles, Banks Hammond had 17 tackles, Parker Seyler, Biskup, and Wyatt Martin had 12 tackles.
Arapahoe falls to 1-5 and will play at Hi-Line on Friday.
Alma is now 3-3 and will host a top-5 team in D1 on Friday, Dundy County Stratton. That is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Bertrand vs Overton
Bertrand hit the road on Saturday to play Overton. The Vikings dropped the game, 35-5. Bertrand is now 3-3 and will face Loomis on the road on Friday.
Cambridge vs Maywood-Hayes Center
Cambridge hit the road on Friday to play Maywood-Hayes Center. Cambridge was able to win big and pitch a shutout, 30-0.
Cambridge was led by Micah Gerlach's 185 yards passing, 77 yards rushing, and three touchdowns. Brady Ahlemeyer had 37 yards and a touchdown, and Krayton Ruggles had 85 yards on the ground.
Ahlemeyer had 106 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Bradyon Miller had 14 tackles for Cambridge. Hodge Raburn added two interceptions.
Cambridge is now 5-1 and will host Overton on Friday. MHC is now 0-6 and will host Hitchcock County on Friday.
Dundy County Stratton vs North Platte St. Pat's
DCS, a top-3 team in D1, played North Platte St. Pat's on Friday. The Irish have been receiving votes in the polls. DCS won big by a final of 47-14. DCS led 16-0 after the first 12 minutes and just never looked back.
Dante Horner was 9-10 with 207 yards and three touchdowns. Horner also had 96 yards rushing and a score. Ethan Latta had 109 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Latta also four catches for 118 yards and two scores. Latta had two interceptions too. August Shaw had two catches for 42 yards and a score.
Tagen Yrkoski had 11 tackles, Shaw added 14, and three were for loss. Dante Horner had eight tackles, Breck Horner, Latta, and Brock Bailey had seven tackles. Bailey had three tackles for loss.
Some big news from the game: Ethan Latta broke the 8-man interception record.
DCS is now 6-0 and will hit the road on Friday and play Alma. That is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Hi-Line vs Southern Valley

Hitchcock County vs Loomis
We had a top-10 matchup in the D2-8 District between Hitchcock County and Loomis. Hitchcock County took care of business, winning 28-6. The Falcons led 20-0 at halftime and from there maintained the lead. An impressive win for the Falcons.
The Falcons had a nice day passing. Jack Baker was 11-13 with 288 yards and four scores. Jayce Hauxwell had five catches fo 124 yards, Adam Kisker had 78 yards and two scores, Karson Shuler had 17 yards and a touchdown, and Grady Erickson had 69 yards and a touchdown.
On the ground, Erickson had 48 yards, Baker had 45, Jaret Neben added 17, and Brody Hubl had 31 yards.
Shuler had 15 tackles, Hubl and Hauxwell had 10 tackles. Erickson had two sacks and Jayden Loghry had two sacks.
Hitchcock County moves to 6-0 and will be at Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday.
Mullen vs Maxwell
Maxwell battled against Mullen on Friday. and lost, 34-32. A close game, as you can see. Jesse Reyes had a big game with 237 yards passing and two touchdowns, and then he had 125 yards rushing and three scores. Jagger Kleewein was his main target with three catches for 126 yards and a score. Griffin Flock caught three passes for a touchdown, too.
Maxwell is 3-3 and will host Bayard on Friday.
Southwest vs Medicine Valley
Southwest, one of the top-10 teams in D6 went on the road and played Medicine Valley. The Roughriders won by a final of 61-14. Houston Billeter was 2-2 passing with 85 yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Barber had 77 yards rushing and three touchdowns, Billeter had 60 yards and two touchdowns, and Conner Weaver had 42 yards and a touchdown.
Deric Kelley had 42 yards receiving and a touchdown, and Braxten Hammond had 43 yards and a touchdown. Gage Hammond had 13 tackles, and Kelley had 10. Hammond had two sacks, and Weaver had one.
Billeter had an interception, Kelley and Bo Truksa had fumble recoveries.
Medicine Valley is now 1-4 and will go to Wallace on Thursday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Southwest moves to 5-0 and will face a tough Wauneta-Palisade team on Friday at home.
Wallace vs Paxton
Wallace, a top-10 team in D6 played Paxton on Friday and won 44-25. Wallace used a steady attack by scoring at least 12 points in three of the quarters. Paxton had their offense going too, scoring 25 points against a good defense.
Colt Franklin was 5-9 with 82 yards for Wallace. Tyson Sullivan had 161 yards rushing and had five touchdowns. Ashtin Johns had 102 yards and a score. Ivan Aceves had 51 yards receiving and a score. Aceves had 12 tackles and Franklin and Johns each had 10. Sullivan had nine tackles and two for loss. Colby Holm had three tackles for loss. Franklin, Holm, had a sack and Teegan Cook had two. Johns had an interception.
For Paxton, Kenyon Florom had 124 yards passing and a touchdown. Tyler Markussin had 98 yards and a touchdown. Rushing, Markussen had 103 yards and touchdowns. Maddex McConnell had 142 yards receiving. Florom had 62 yards and a score. Markussen had 14 yards and a touchdown, too.
Florom led the team with 13 tackles.
Wallace is now 4-1 and will play Medicine Valley at home on Thursday. That is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Paxton is now 1-4 and will play at home on Friday against SEM.
Hemingford vs Sutherland
Sutherland played on Friday against Hemingford. They dropped the game, 69-0. Sutherland is now 1-5 and will play at Kimball on Friday.
SEM vs Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade faced a top-5 team in D6, and the Broncos themselves are regarded as a top-10 team. SEM won the game over Wauneta-Palisade, 63-33.
SEM led 24-12 after the first quarter. They extended their lead to 47-25 at halftime. In the second half, SEM outscored Wauneta-Palisade 16-8. Jordan Scoville had 291 yards rushing and six touchdowns for SEM. For Wauneta Palisade, Kreyton Wiese had 146 yards and two scores on the ground, Kameran McCrumb had 120 yards and two touchdowns, and David Bryner had 71 yards and a touchdown.
Wauneta-Palisade is now 4-1 and will face Southwest on Friday, on the road.
