A whole week of basketball is in the books! Check out how the teams fared last week and who they have scheduled this week.

Alma
Alma traveled to Blue Hill on Thursday night and ran away with a victory. The Cardinals jumped out early and took a 19-2 lead after the first quarter. They added 30 before half and held the Bobcats to five to make the halftime score 49-7. Alma won the game, 52-11. Tierston Moore had 16 points, two assists, and three steals; Kinley Ford had 14 points, three rebounds, four assists, and eight steals; Kamryn Scott had 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
On Friday, Alma traveled to Wilcox-Hildreth. Alma jumped out to a 25-6 lead and kept the cruise on as they were able to secure the 53-17 win. Ford had 18 points, two assists, and nine steals; Scott had 12 points, two assists, and three steals; Kamri Neal had eight points; Vayden Epp had six points and three steals; and Taylor Pool had six points.
Alma is 4-0 and will host Southwest on Tuesday and travel to Cozad on Saturday.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe faced Decatur Community, KS, in the first round of the Cattle Trail Tournament on Tuesday. The Warriors took an early lead, leading 16-9 after the first quarter. Arapahoe extended their lead to 30-16 as they went into the half. Out of the half, the Red Devils made adjustments, and Arapahoe had a hard time finding momentum. After the third, Arapahoe led 40-33, but ultimately, Decatur Community stole the 55-50 win over the Warriors. Suttyn Shafer had 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals; Sawyer Shafer had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and six steals; Clara Hilker had 10 points, 14 rebounds, three steals, and four blocks; Chloe Gooden had seven points; and Emma Strand had six points, eight rebounds, and two steals.
On Friday, the Warriors took on Medicine Valley. Arapahoe jumped to a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and extended that to 52-5 at halftime. Arapahoe won the game, 65-8. Sawyer Shafer had 19 points, two rebounds, and three steals; Hilker had 12 points, nine rebounds, and four steals; Ryleigh Tidyman had 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals; Suttyn Shafer had nine points, five rebounds, and three steals; Strand had five points, six rebounds, and three steals; Gooden had four points, four assists, and two steals; Grace Andrews had three points, and Meg Hilker had two points and two rebounds.
Arapahoe advanced to the 5th-place game against Wauneta-Palisade on Saturday. The Warriors again jumped out and took a 25-14 lead after the first quarter and went into the half with a 31-15 lead. Arapahoe maintained pressure and held off a Broncos surge to secure a 54-35 win and place 5th. C. Hilker had 20 points, 20 rebounds, and four steals; Suttyn Shafer had 17 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals; Sawyer Shafer had 11 points, two rebounds, and four steals; Tidyman had four points and six rebounds; Gooden had two points, five rebounds, and five assists; and Strand had 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
The Warriors improve their record to 3-1 and will travel to Northern Valley, KS on Tuesday, Wilcox Hildreth on Thursday, and will host Southwest on Friday.
Bertrand
The Vikings started the week hosting Elm Creek on Monday. Bertrand trailed 36-15 and lost the game, 74-31. Addison Andersen had 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists; Livia Phillips had nine points and six rebounds; Alyvia Rabe had five points and three rebounds; Baylee Kipp had four points; and Ashlynn Edgren had six rebounds and two steals.
On Friday, Bertrand traveled to Pleasanton. The Bulldogs jumped out early, leading 17-5 after the first quarter, and kept their foot on the gas. Bertrand lost to Pleasanton, 49-27. Andersen had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals; Adrian Sand had six rebounds; Ashlynn Edgren had five rebounds; and Livia Phillips had five rebounds.
On Saturday, the Vikings traveled eight miles down the road to battle Loomis. Bertrand lost to the Wolves, 42-24. Andersen had 19 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and two blocks; Edgren had five rebounds and three steals; Phillips had six rebounds; Malia Brown had five rebounds; and Rabe had five rebounds and three steals.
Bertrand is 0-4 on the year and will host Loomis on Tuesday and Blue Hill on Saturday.
Cambridge
Cambridge hosted Southern Valley on Tuesday and trailed 13-10 after the first quarter. The Trojans made adjustments after the first quarter to take the 29-21 lead at the half. Cambridge kept the pressure on out of the break and came away with the 55-37 win. Brooklyn Holtze had 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals; Aspen Webb had 11 points and two rebounds; Joslyn Holtze had eight points, two rebounds, and eight steals; Kolbryn Clason had six points and two assists; Mallory Springer had five points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and four blocks; and Elisabeth Kubik had four points, six rebounds, and two assists.
On Friday, the Trojans hosted South Loup. They jumped out early and kept the cruise on as they earned a 60-28 win. Springer had 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals; B. Holtze had 12 points and four rebounds; Kubik had nine points; Webb had eight points and five assists; and J. Holtze had six points, four assists, and three steals.
Cambridge is 3-1 and will travel to Cozad on Thursday before entering the break.

Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers played in the Cattle Trail Tournament and faced Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday. It was back-and-forth in the first quarter, ending in an 8-8 tie. The Tigers were able to find a little rhythm in the second to create a 20-14 lead at the half. That momentum continued for the Tigers as they won the game 45-24 to advance. Clara Spargo had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals; Abi Spargo had 13 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals; Emily Schack had nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Kimberly Escobar had three points, three rebounds, and and four steals; and Lexie Yrkoski had three rebounds, three assists, and five steals.
In the next round of the Cattle Trail Tournament on Friday, DCS faced Southwest. The Tigers led 11-6 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 27-13 at the half. DCS gained momentum in the second half, cruising to a 67-23 win. Ava Lutz had 17 points and six rebounds; A. Spargo had 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals, and two blocks; C. Spargo had 10 points; Schack had eight points; Yrkoski had six points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals; Escobar had five points, eight rebounds, three assists, and six steals; and Char Lutz had five assists.
In the championship game against Maywood-Hayes Center on Saturday. What a ball game. It was knotted at 11 after the first quarter, and DCS went into halftime with a one-point lead, 26-25. The Tigers outscored the Wolves in the third quarter, 13-7, to extend their lead to 39-32. MHC found another gear, and the Tigers had to hold off a surge from the Wolves to win the game, 48-44. A. Spargo had 21 points, 10 rebounds, six steals, and three blocks; C. Spargo had 10 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Schack had nine points and eight rebounds; and Ava Lutz had six points and nine rebounds.
Dundy County Stratton is now 4-0 on the year and will travel to Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday and Perkins County on Friday.
Hi-Line
On Tuesday, the Bulls traveled to Maxwell and lost to the Wildcats 58-26. Raelyn Toberer had eight points; Piper Puls had four points, three rebounds, and two assists; Whitney Wall had three rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Olivia Wall had six rebounds; Bentley Stubbs had four rebounds; and Kylee Kubert had three rebounds.
On Thursday, Hi-Line hosted Southern Valley and lost 39-15. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can click here to read more. W. Wall had four points, four rebounds, and two assists; O. Wall had three points and six rebounds; Dynastee Redden had three points and six rebounds; Shelby Jurjens had three points, three rebounds, and two steals; Kara Brockman had four rebounds; and Stubbs had 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
The Bulls were set to travel to Gothenburg on Saturday, but due to the weather, that game was postponed.
Hi-Line is 1-3 and will travel to Bertrand on Tuesday, Franklin on Thursday, and Gibbon on Friday.

Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County played in the Cattle Trail Tournament and faced Southwest in the first round on Tuesday. The Falcons trailed early as the score was 11-5 after the first quarter and 24-12 at the half. The Roughriders kept momentum rolling and defeated the Falcons 52-27. Asia Homma had six points, 11 rebounds, and two assists; Riley Hagan had five points and two rebounds; Aspen Hazlitt had five points, two rebounds, and two steals; Jayda Wood had four points; Reese Tines had three points; Madysen Carlson had seven rebounds and five blocks; and Kalissa Hagan had seven rebounds and two steals.
On Friday, the Falcons faced Wauneta-Palisade. It was quite the game as it came down to the wire. Hitchcock County had the 12-11 lead after the first quarter and was able to hold on to the lead as they went into the break, 21-19. The Broncos made some halftime adjustments and cut the deficit to one, 33-32. The Falcons weathered a storm from Wauneta-Palisade but ultimately came up short, 47-46. Homma had 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals; K. Hagan had 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals; Hazlitt had nine points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks; Tines had four points, five rebounds, and four assists; and Carlson had 12 rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.
On Saturday, Hitchcock County faced Medicine Valley for 7th place. The Falcons took the 8-2 lead after the first quarter. Medicine Valley outscored the Falcons in the second quarter, 11-10, to make the halftime score 18-13 in favor of Hitchcock County. The Falcons found some rhythm in the third quarter to extend their lead to 32-23 as they went into the fourth quarter. Hitchcock County went on to defeat the Raiders, 42-34. Hitchcock County is 1-3 and will travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday and will host Rawlins County, KS, on Friday.
Maxwell
On Tuesday, Maxwell hosted Hi-Line and defeated the Bulls 58-26. Emory Christensen had 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and seven steals; Maddy Flock had 10 points; Kristyn Cheek had eight points, three rebounds, three assists, and seven steals; Madelynn Nelson had seven points, two reboundsdd, and four steals; Illa Gosnell had six points, three assists, and three steals; Rylynn Quick had five points and four rebounds; and Kurri Gosnell had four points, four rebounds, and two steals.
On Thursday, Maxwell traveled to North Platte St. Pat's. Maxwell defeated the Irish, 49-34. Cheek had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals; Christensen had 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and five steals; Nelson had eight points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals; and Flock had seven points, four rebounds, and two steals.
The Wildcats improve to 3-1 on the year and will travel to Loomis on Tuesday and host Paxton on Friday.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves played in the Cattle Trail Tournament and faced Medicine Valley on Tuesday. Maywood-Hayes Center started hot and just kept their foot on the gas as they ran away with a 71-17 win. Caylie Softley had 26 points, three rebounds, five assists, and four steals; Karissa Stengel had 14 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, and five steals; and Blayklee Farr had 10 points, four rebounds, three assists, and six steals.
In the next round, MHC faced Decatur Community, KS, on Friday. The Wolves led 12-10 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 28-21 at the half. The Red Devils outscored MHC in the third quarter, 16-12, to make the score 40-37 in favor of the Wolves. Maywood-Hayes Center was able to surge in the final quarter to secure the 61-53 win. Softley had 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals; Stengel had 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and five steals; Farr had 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks; Paytyn Stengel had six rebounds and four assists; and Addison Richards had five points and seven rebounds.
On Saturday, against Dundy County Stratton in the Cattle Trail Championship, it was knotted at 11 after the first quarter. DCS went into halftime with a one-point lead, 26-25. The Tigers outscored the Wolves in the third quarter, 13-7, to extend their lead to 39-32. MHC found another gear in the fourth quarter, but came up short, falling to the Tigers, 48-44. K. Stengel had 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals; Softley had 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals; Haylie Gustafson had five points, four rebounds, and two steals; Ava Messersmith had four points, six rebounds, and five steals; and P. Stengel added four rebounds and four steals.
Maywood-Hayes Center is 4-1 on the year and will travel to Sutherland on Tuesday and host Brady on Thursday.
Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley played in the Cattle Trail Tournament and started the tournament on Tuesday with Maywood-Hayes Center. The Raiders lost to the Wolves, 71-17. Kamree Elsten had nine points and two steals; Oakley Stout had four points, 10 rebounds, and three steals; Kenley Cole had three rebounds; and Brooke Kotschwar had seven rebounds.
Against Arapahoe on Friday, the Raiders lost 65-8. Stout had six points, two rebounds, and two steals; TeeJay Hildebrandt had three rebounds; and Kotschwar had three rebounds.
On Saturday, Medicine Valley faced Hitchcock County in the 7th-place game. The Falcons took the 8-2 lead after the first quarter. Medicine Valley outscored the Falcons in the second quarter, 11-10, to make the halftime score 18-13 in favor of Hitchcock County. The Falcons found some rhythm in the third quarter to extend their lead to 32-23 as they went into the fourth quarter. Hitchcock County went on to defeat the Raiders, 42-34. Stout had 14 points, six rebounds, and four steals; Evans had eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals; Jordiya Phillips had seven points and two rebounds; Elsten had four rebounds and four steals; and Hildebrandt had seven rebounds.
The Raiders are 0-4 and will host Hitchcock County on Thursday and travel to South Loup on Friday.

Paxton
The Tigers hosted Brady on Friday, and it was a battle to the end. Brady had a 7-5 lead after the first quarter, but the Tigers were able to tie it up at 13-13 as they went into the half. Paxton was able to make halftime adjustments to take a 24-22 lead heading into the fourth quarter. It was back and forth in the fourth, but Brady defeated the Tigers, 37-36. Ella Fote had 14 points and five rebounds; Jaleigh Hansen had 12 points and three rebounds; Addison Holm had four points and 10 rebounds; Jakcee Mitchell had five rebounds and three steals; Reece Glinn had six rebounds; and Marlee Gleason had seven rebounds.
On Saturday, Paxton hosted Potter-Dix and got a nice bounce-back win as they defeated the Coyotes 62-11. Fote had 16 points, five rebounds, and four steals; Mitchell had 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals; Holm had 11 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals; Natalie Jorgensen had five rebounds; and Marlee Gleason had five rebounds.
Paxton is 3-1 on the year and will travel to Perkins County on Tuesday and Maxwell on Friday.
Southern Valley
On Tuesday, the Eagles traveled to Cambridge. Southern Valley led 13-10 after the first quarter, and then the script got flipped, and the Trojans took over the game, defeating the Eagles, 55-37. Emercen Lovitt had nine points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals; Lauren Quinn had nine points; Tori Bose had six points, eight rebounds, and five steals; Amaleigh Utterback had seven rebounds; and Mikah Schultz had seven rebounds and four steals.

Bose had 11 points, six rebounds, and six steals; Lovitt had 10 points, three assists, and four steals; and Quinn had 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
Southern Valley hosted Overton on Saturday and lost to the Eagles, 51-36. Lovitt had 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals; Schultz had seven points, four rebounds, and two steals; Bose had six points, 10 rebounds, and three assists; Payton Adams had six points and three rebounds; and Quinn had five points and three steals.
The Eagles are 1-4 and will travel to Norton, KS, on Tuesday, host Ravenna on Thursday, and host Loomis on Saturday.
Southwest
Southwest faced Hitchcock County in the first game of the Cattle Trail Tournament on Tuesday. Southwest jumped out early and kept pushing to the end as they secured the 52-27 win. Aspen Billeter had 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, five steals, and three blocks; Anikka Nelms had 15 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, and two blocks; Caitlyn Adams had six points, three rebounds, and two assists; and Bellamie Stritt had six points, three rebounds, and two assists.
On Friday against Dundy County Stratton, the Tigers led 11-6 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 27-13 at the half. DCS gained momentum in the second half and defeated Southwest, 67-23. Billeter had 13 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks; Nelms had three points and five rebounds; and Adams had four rebounds.
In the 3rd place game on Saturday, the Roughriders faced Decatur Community, KS. Southwest lost, 61-51, to place 4th. No stats have been uploaded at the time of writing this blog; once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.
Southwest is 2-3 and will travel to Alma on Tuesday and Arapahoe on Friday.

Sutherland
On Monday, Sutherland traveled to Brady. After the first quarter, the Sailors only trailed by three, 13-10. Brady remained in the lead as they went into halftime, 28-20. Sutherland hung around in the third quarter, but Brady was able to pull away in the fourth quarter, defeating Sutherland, 54-38. Eliana Dyer had 10 points and seven rebounds; Maleah Vasquez had nine points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals; Phoenix Brown had six points, 16 rebounds, and two assists; and Payten Weber had five points.
On Saturday, Sutherland traveled to South Platte. After trailing 16-6 after the first quarter, the Sailors stayed within reach during the second quarter to make the halftime score, 27-14. In the second half, Sutherland's adjustments appeared to be working, as the Blue Knights were outscored 6-2 to bring the score into the fourth quarter at 29-20. Sutherland outscored South Platte in the fourth, 10-9, but the deficit was too big, and they came up short, 38-30. Brown had 16 points and 15 rebounds; Leah Harper had five points and four rebounds; and Dyer had eight rebounds.
Sutherland is 0-3 on the year and will host Maywood-Hayes Center on Tuesday, travel to Wallace on Thursday, and travel to Elba on Saturday.
Wallace
On Thursday, Wallace hosted Sandhills/Thedford. The Knights jumped out early and never looked back as they defeated the Wildcats, 65-26. No stats have been uploaded at the time of writing this blog; once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.
On Friday, Wallace hosted Hyannis. Wallace trailed 12-6 after the first quarter, and the Longhorns extended the lead as they went into the half, 25-11. It was an even third quarter, with each squad scoring five points, but Hyannis went on to win, 43-23. Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade played Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday as part of the Cattle Trail Tournament. It was back-and-forth in the first quarter, ending in an 8-8 tie.
