RPAC Girls Basketball Results as of 2/22

While some seasons have come to a close, others are preparing for district final games with a chance of heading to the state tournament on the line. Check out the subdistrict results from last week.

Alma

The Cardinals were the #1 seed in the C2-8 Subdistrict. They faced #5 North Platte St. Pat's on Tuesday and defeated the Irish 56-16. Kamryn Scott had 118 points; Kinley Ford had 13 points and four steals; Tierston Moore had 10 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals; Kamri Neal had six points and four assists; Vayden Epp had four assists and five steals; and Taylor Pool had five rebounds.


In the subdistrict final against #2 Hershey on Saturday, Alma won 84-48. Ford had 29 points, five rebounds, five assists, and seven steals; Scott had 20 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals; Epp had 17 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals; and Moore had five points, six assists, and five steals.


With the win, the Cardinals advanced to the C2-6 District Final. They have a record of 25-1, and are the #6 seed and will host #11 Centura on Friday at 6:00 P.M. CT.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe was the #2 seed in the D1-11 subdistrict and faced #3 Southwest on Tuesday. It was a close game, but the Warrirors fell to Southwest, 60-57. Suttyn Shafer had 22 points, four assists, and five steals; Sawyer Shafer had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals; Emma Strand had seven points, six rebounds, and three steals; Chloe Gooden had six points; Clara Hilker had six points and 11 rebounds; and Ryleigh Tidyman had six rebounds.


The Warriors have a 20-5 record and received a wildcard to advance to the D1-4 District Final. #4 Shelton will host #13 Arapahoe at 7:00 P.M. CT on Friday.


Bertrand

The Vikings were the #3 seed in the D2-7 subdistrict and faced #2 Franklin on Tuesday. Bertrand earned the 53-45 win. Addison Andersen had 17 points, five rebounds, and six steals; Livia Philips had 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals; Adrian Sand had 14 points, two rebounds, and two steals; and Ashlynn Edgren had six rebounds.


Bertrand advanced to the subdistrict finals against #1 Loomis and came up short, 50-42.


Bertrand finished their season with an 8-17 record.

Cambridge

Cambridge was the #2 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict. They faced #3 Hitchcock County on Tuesday and defeated the Falcons, 49-38. Brooklyn Holtze had 14 points; Mallory Springer had 11 points, 18 rebounds, six assists, and seven blocks; Joslyn Holtze had nine points, three rebounds, and three assists; Elisabeth Kubik had six points, five rebounds, and five steals; and Aspen Webb had six points.


Against #1 Dundy County Stratton on Thursday, the Trojans lost 60-21. B. Holtze had 10 points; Springer had five points and six rebounds; Kolbrynn Clason had four points; J. Holtze had six rebounds; and Annabelle Taylor had five rebounds.


The Trojans have a 17-7 record and received a wildcard to advance to the D2-5 District Final. #5 Cambridge will host #12 SEM on Friday at 6:00 P.M. CT.


Dundy County Stratton

Dundy County Stratton was the #1 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #4 Medicine Valley on Tuesday and earned the 62-26 win. Abi Spargo had 17 points, five rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two blocks; Clara Spargo had 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals; Emily Schack had nine points; Kimberly Escobar had eight points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals; Lexi Yrkoski had six points and four assists; and Ava Lutz had four points, four assists, and three steals.


In the subdistrict final on Thursday against #2 Cambridge, the Tigers earned a 60-21 win. C. Spargo had 14 points and four steals; Escobar had 12 points and five steals; Schack had 12 points and four rebounds; A. Spargo had 11 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals; and Lutz had five points.


DCS has a record of 24-1 and advanced to the D2-1 District final as the #1 seed, in which they will host #16 Potter-Dix on Friday at 5:00 P.M. MT.

Hi-Line

Hi-Line was the #5 seed in the D1-11 subdistrict and faced #4 Southern Valley on Monday and lost to the Eagles, 60-37. Olivia Wall had 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals; Whitney Wall had 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and five steals; Bentley Stubbs had six points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four steals; Kara Brockman had six points and three steals; and Shelby Jurjens had five rebounds.


The Bulls finished their season with a record of 2-19.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County was the #3 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #2 Cambridge on Tuesday. The Falcons lost to the Trojans, 49-38. Asia Homma had 18 points, four rebounds, and three steals; Kalissa Hagan had seven points and three rebounds; Raegan Hagan had six points; and Madysen Carlson had four points and nine rebounds.


The Falcons finished the season with a record of 8-16.


Maxwell

The Wildcats were the #4 seed in the C2-9 subdistrict and faced #5 Gibbon on Monday. Maxwell got the 76-34 win to advance to the next round. Kristyn Cheek had 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Madelyn Flock had 15 points; Emory Christensen had 13 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals; Madelynn Nelson had eight points, four assists, and four steals; Illa Gosnell had seven points, five assists, and three steals; Kurri Gosnell had four points; and Rylynn Quick had four points, three rebounds, and three steals.


On Tuesday, Maxwell faced #1 Sandy Creek and upset the Cougars with a final score of 43-41. Cheek had 18 points, nine rebounds, and two steals; Flock had 11 points; Christensen had eight points and eight rebounds; and Nelson had six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.


On Thursday, the Wildcats faced #2 Centura and fell, 74-16. Flock had seven points, and Cheek had four points and four rebounds.


Maxwell finished their season with a record of 11-14.

Maywood-Hayes Center

The Wolves were the #1 seed in the D1-11 subdistrict and faced #4 Southern Valley on Tuesday. Against the Eagles, Maywood-Hayes Center earned the 60-39 win to advance to the next round. Caylie Softley had 17 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks; Karissa Stengel had 17 points, five rebounds, six assists, and five steals; Blayklee Farr had 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals; Paytyn Stengel had six rebounds, two assists, and three steals; and Ava Messersmith had six points and four rebounds.


Against #3 Southwest on Thursday, MHC earned the 53-42 win. Softley had 17 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and three steals; K. Stengel had 17 points and four assists; P. Stengel had five rebounds, three assists, and two steals; and Messersmith had seven points.


Maywood-Hayes Center has a record of 22-3 and will advance to the D1-3 District final as the #3 seed, hosting #14 Weeping Water at 5:30 P.M. CT on Friday in Hayes Center.


Medicine Valley

The Raiders were the #4 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #5 Wallace on Monday. Medicine Valley earned the 50-25 win to advance to the next round. Oakley Stout had 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and five steals; Kamree Elsten had 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and six steals; Kaedance Phelps had six points, three rebounds, and four steals; Brooke Kotschwar had six points and six rebounds; Kenley Cole had four points and three rebounds; Delaney Evans had three rebounds and five assists; and Jordiya Phillips had seven rebounds.


On Tuesday against #1 Dundy County Stratton, the Raiders lost, 62-26. Stout had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Kotschwar had seven points and five rebounds.


The Raiders ended their season with a record of 4-19.


Paxton

Paxton was the #1 seed in the D2-10 subdistrict and faced #4 Arthur County on Tuesday. The Tigers won, 49-22. Ella Fote had 16 points, six rebounds, and six steals; Jaleigh Hansen had 15 points, five rebounds, and six steals; Addison Holm had eight points, five rebounds, and four steals; Jakcee Mitchell had four points and eight rebounds; and Reece Glinn had four points and seven rebounds.


On Thursday, the Tigers faced #2 South Platte and won, 49-16. Hansen had 13 points; Fote had 10 points and four rebounds; Marlee Gleason had 10 points; Mitchell had six points, five rebounds, and five assists; Holm had four points; and Glinn had four points and five rebounds.


Paxton has a 17-6 record and will advance to a district final on Friday. The #10 Tigers will travel to #7 Silver Lake to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 P.M. CT.


Southern Valley

Southern Valley was the #4 seed in the D1-11 subdistrict and faced #5 Hi-Line on Monday. The Eagles won, 60-37. Tori Bose had 22 points, 20 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and four blocks; Emercen Lovitt had 16 points and four steals; Lauren Quinn had six points and three assists; and Mikah Schultz had six points.


The Eagles advanced to take on #1 Maywood-Hayes Center on Tuesday. Bose had 18 points and 10 rebounds; Haisley McQuiston had seven points; Quin had six points; and Lovitt had four points, five rebounds, and four assists.


The Eagles finished their season with a record of 11-13.

Southwest

Southwest was the #3 seed in the D1-11 subdistrict and faced #2 Arapahoe on Tuesday. The Roughriders earned the 60-57 win. Aspen Billeter had 24 points, 20 rebounds, and three steals; Anikka Nelms had 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists; Kassidy Vaughn had nine points and seven rebounds; and Caitlyn Adams had nine rebounds and five assists.


They advanced to face #1 Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday. The Roughriders lost to the Wolves, 53-42. Billeter had 23 points and 13 rebounds; Vaughn had 10 points, eight rebounds, and three assists; and Nelms had nine points and three rebounds.


Southwest finished their season with a record of 12-11.


Sutherland

Sutherland was the #4 seed in the D1-12 subdistrict and faced #1 Morrill on Tuesday. The Sailors won, 52-44. Phoenix Brown had 22 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Bryer Brown had 11 points; Payten Weber had seven points; and Eliana Dyer had five points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.


The Sailors advanced to take on #2 Wauneta-Palisade on Saturday and lost, 57-26.


Sutherland finished their season with a record of 7-16.

Wallace

Wallace was the #5 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #4 Medicine Valley. The Wildcats lost to the Raiders, 50-25. Elianna Robertson had 10 points and 11 rebounds; Kaley Sauser had five points, four rebounds, and two steals; Reagan Finley had four points and seven rebounds; Gracie Strawder had four points and four rebounds; and Regan Martin had nine rebounds.


Wallace finished their season with a record of 2-19.


Wauneta-Palisade

Wauneta-Palisade was the #2 seed in the D1-12 subdistrict and faced #3 Bayard on Tuesday. The Broncos defeated the Tigers, 49-34. Cheyenne Parrish had 12 points; Kamryn Fanning had 10 points and seven rebounds; Emma Acton had nine points, six rebounds, and four assists; Molly Yearous had five points, seven rebounds, three assists, and five steals; Kaia Applegarth had five rebounds; Lilly Dinnel had four rebounds; and Mesa Cox had eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.


On Saturday, the Broncos faced #4 Sutherland and won, 57-26.


Wauneta-Palisade advanced to the district finals with a record of 14-9. #16 Wauneta-Palisade will travel to #1 Bloomfield on Friday at 4:00 P.M. CT.
