Seven teams competed in a district final for a chance to qualify for the state tournament. Three have punched their tickets to the state tournament. Check out the blog to see how the games shook out. Alma
Alma hosted the C2-6 district final. The Cardinals were the #6 seed and faced #11 Centura on Friday night. After the first quarter, it was tight, with Centura leading 5-4. Alma found a little momentum in the second quarter as they outscored the Centurions17-13 to take the lead at the half, 21-18. The third quarter was a battle, with the two going back and forth, as the Cardinals extended their lead to 35-30. In the final stanza, Centura outscored the Cardinals 18-7 to defeat Alma, 48-42. Kinley Ford had 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and eight steals; Kamryn Scott had 10 points and five rebounds; Tierston Moore had eight points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals; and Vayden Epp had eight points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.
Alma finished their season as the C2-6 Runner-up with a record of 25-2.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe advanced to the D1-4 district final via a wildcard on Friday. The Warriors traveled to #4 Shelton, where they were the #13 seed. It was a high-scoring affair in the first period as Arapahoe jumped out to a 21-14 lead. The Warriors remained in control at the half with a narrow lead of 36-31. Arapahoe kept the pressure on as they came out of the break to outscore the Bulldogs 16-11 in the third quarter to hold on to a 52-42 lead as they went into the final quarter. The Warriors had to hold off a surge from Shelton but secured the 67-55 win to advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2014. Sawyer Shafer had 27 points, three rebounds, and two assists; Clara Hilker had 13 points and five rebounds; Emma Strand had 10 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists; Suttyn Shafer had nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals; and Chloe Gooden had six points and five rebounds.
Arapahoe will advance to the state tournament with a record of 21-5. The Warriors are the #8 seed and will face #1 Bloomfield at 9:00 A.M. CT on Thursday at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Thursday.

Cambridge
The Trojans advanced to the D2-5 district final via a wildcard. #5 Cambridge hosted #12 SEM on Friday night. Cambridge fell to the Mustangs, 49-41. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; you can click here to read the full recap.
Cambridge ended their season with a record of 17-8.
Dundy County Stratton
On Friday, Dundy County Stratton hosted the D2-1 district final. The Tigers were the #1 seed and faced #16 Potter-Dix. The Tigers started out strong, taking a 40-2 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 60-5 at the half. DCS cruised to a 71-15 victory, punching their ticket to state for the first time since 2020. Abi Spargo had 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, seven steals, and two blocks; Clara Spargo had 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists; Emily Schack had 10 points and three rebounds; Maelee Forch had nine points and four rebounds; Kimberly Escobar had six assists and seven steals; Ava Lutz had four points and five rebounds; and Charli Shaw had four points and seven rebounds.
Clara Spargo eclipsed the 1,000 career points mark during this game. Congratulations, Clara!
Dundy County Stratton advances to the state tournament with a record of 25-1. The Tigers are the #1 seed in D2 and will face #8 Loomis on Wednesday morning at 9:00 A.M. CT at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Maywood-Hayes Center
Maywood-Hayes Center hosted the D1-3 district final on Friday. The #3 Wolves faced #14 Weeping Water. The Indians had a 12-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Wolves responded in the second quarter to take the halftime lead, 27-20. After the break, MHC kept the pressure on and extended its lead, securing the 69-55 win and advancing to the state tournament for the first time since 2021. Caylie Softley had 25 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists; Karissa Stengel had 23 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals; Blayklee Farr had 14 points, four rebounds, and five assists; Haylie Gustafson had four points; and Paytyn Stengel had five rebounds and three assists.
MHC advances to the state tournament with a record of 23-3. The Wolves are the #3 seed in D1 and will face #6 Howells-Dodge at 7:45 P.M. CT on Thursday at Devaney.

Paxton
Paxton traveled to Adams Central on Friday to take on Silver Creek in the D2-7 district final. Silver Creek was the #7 seed, and Paxton was the #10 seed. The Tigers started out strong and took a 14-10 lead after the first period. Paxton extended their lead to 28-19 at the break. The script began to flip out of the break as Silver Lake outscored Paxton 15-10 in the third quarter to cut their deficit to 38-34. Silver Lake had a huge fourth quarter to defeat the Tigers, 52-43. Ella Fote had 14 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks; Addison Holm had 12 points, nine rebounds, and two steals; Jaleigh Hansen had nine points; Jakcee Mitchell had six points and four rebounds; and Marlee Gleason had six rebounds.
Paxton ended their season with a record of 17-7.

Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade advanced to the D1-1 district final on Friday. The Broncos traveled to Bloomfield to face the #1 and undefeated Bees. Wauneta-Palisade earned the #16 seed. It was a high-scoring first quarter as Bloomfield took the 28-18 lead after the first stanza. The scoring slowed in the second quarter as Bloomfield went into the half with a 39-22 lead. The Bees continued to control the game in the second half and defeated the Broncos, 74-45.
Wauneta-Palisade ended their season with a record of 14-10.
