The Southern Valley/Alma Saints were in action four times last week, including a home game on Thursday and a tournament on Saturday.


Against HWY 6 on Thursday, SVA lost a hard-fought battle 7-3. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can read the full story here.





Over the weekend, SVA played in the Central City Invite. In their game against NEN, they lost 9-1. SVA had two hits and seven errors. NEN had eight hits and no errors. Alexa Miller for SVA was 1-2 with an RBI. Hayden Deyle had a hit too. Josa Dunse went 3.2 innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs, and had one strikeout. Riley Aerni went 1.1 innings and allowed five hits and one earned run.





SVA faced Aquinas and fell 12-2. SVA had six hits and six errors. Aquinas had nine hits and 0 errors. For SVA, Mikah Schultz was 2-2 with a pair of home runs. Kaitlyn Bradley had a hit, and Ava Dunse was 2-2 also. Riley Aerni went 1.1 innings with three hits, four earned runs, Josa Dunse went an inning, allowing three hits and three earned runs, Mikah Schultz went 1.1 innings, allowing three hits and 0 earned runs, and had a strikeout.







Southern/Diller-Odell was another opponent they had, and they dropped the game 10-2. SVA accumulated eight hits and had six errors. Bradley, Deyle, Ava Dunse, Macy Adams, Schultz, Eden Johnson, Amy Luke, and Alexa Miller each had hits. Ava Dunse and Alexa Miller each had an RBI.


Aerni went .2 innings, allowed five hits, nine runs were scored, but none were earned. Mikah Schultz went 1.1 innings, allowing a hit, 0 earned runs, and had two strikeouts. Josa Dunse went 2.0 innings and had two strikeouts.

SVA is now 8-14 and will host their triangular on Tuesday with Chase County and Kearney Catholic, then go to Kearney Catholic on Thursday.
