RPAC Softball Results as of 9/3

The Southern Valley/Alma Saints had another busy week as they played in three games last week and came away with a pair of victories.

First, they fell to Fillmore Central/Exeter Milligan 13-1 in three innings. The Saints struggled to muster up enough offense to keep up with FCEM's offensive attack. Kaitlyn Bradley went 1-2 in the game and had an RBI. Izzy Dubbs and Sarah Holste each had hits in the game too.

From there the Saints bounced back in a big way in their next two games.

They played Chase County a pair of times on Thursday and won both of them by a large margin.

In the first game, they won by a final tally of 18-2. The Saints took no time getting up big as they posted 11 of those runs in the home half of the first inning. They rounded out the scoring in the second inning, posting seven more runs. Chase County was not able to score any runs until the top of the third.

For the Saints, the defensive side was important too, especially inside the circle. Josa Dunse went three innings, and allowed just one hit, 0 earned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts.

At the dish, the Saints were patient. They forced 14 balls on base and had three hits. Dunse helped herself at the plate with two RBI's. Brynn Bailey went 1-2 with three RBI's.

In game two against Chase County, the Saints again dominated winning 14-1. Southern Valley Alma scored 10 runs in the first inning and then four more in the second. Chase County again didn't score until the third inning.

In this game, the Saints had six hits and Bradley was the leader at the plate. She had three hits and two RBI's. Zalie White also added two RBI's for the Saints. Mikah Schultz went 2.1 innings with three strikeouts. Brynn Bailey went 0.2 inning and had two strikeouts.

The Saints are now 4-6 and will play at Lexington on Tuesday, at Cozad on Thursday, and then a Triangular on Saturday in Gothenburg.
