RPAC Track Results as of 5/24

And just like that, the track season has come to an end. Dundy County Stratton swept the team races again this year. Based on our research from the NSAA's website, the only other time there was a back-to-back State Champion sweep was in 1995 and 1996 in Class A by Kearney High. No Class D team has ever done so. Check out how the RPAC athletes did at the state meet.

In the Class C girls 4x800-meter relay, Maywood-Hayes Center ran a great race, placing 3rd with a time of 9:50.80, with Caylie Softley, Carly Softley, Ava Messersmith, and Addison Richards.


In the Class C boys 4x800-meter relay, Alma ran a time of 8:16.96, which placed them 5th. This relay was run by Barrett Zikmund, Nolan Pfeil, Isaiah Neal, and Eric Dicke.


In Class D girls pole vault, Alyssa Koch of Southwest and Molly Yearous of Wauneta-Palisade tied for 3rd with vaults of 10'0", and Jaleigh Hansen of Paxton placed 7th with a vault of 10'0".


In Class D Girls discus, Kennedy Bailey of DCS earned her third-straight gold medal with a toss of 147'1".


In Class D girls long jump, Aspen Hazlitt of Hitchcock County placed 6th with a jump of 16'9.25".

In the Class D girls 4x800-meter relay, Wauneta-Palisade placed 4th with a time of 10:25.21. This relay was run by Annaly Ramirez, Addalyn Einspahr, Kamryn Fanning, and Andrea Almanza.


In the Class D girls 400-meter dash, it was a great race down to the finish. Clara Spargo of DCS was able to hold on to secure her third-straight 400-meter dash gold medal with a time of 57.59. Haisley McQuiston was in heat two of three and ran a really good race to earn the 3rd place medal with a time of 59.11.


In the Class D girls 3200-meter run, Lydia McGowen ran strongly to take home the state runner-up title with a time of 11:44.25. Shelby Schoene of Bertrand placed 6th with a time of 11:59.22.


In Class D boys high jump, Ethan Latta of DCS was named state champion with his leap of 6'7".


In Class D shot put, Brock Bailey of DCS was the state champion with a throw of 62'7.5".


In the Class D boys 4x800-meter relay, Wallace placed 8th with a time of 8:40.86, which was run by Max Hanson, Bradley Hanson, Colt Franklin, and Tristan Manary.


In the Class D boys 400-meter dash, Ethan Latta of DCS placed 3rd with a time of 50.65.


In the Class D boys 3200-meter run, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley earned his first gold in this race with a time of 10:02.67.

In the Class C girls 800-meter run, Kinley Ford of Alma placed 7th with a time of 2:20.38.


In Class C boys long jump, Zavier Mitchell of Alma defended his long jump title with a jump of 22'10.5", and Tucker Biskup of Alma placed 3rd with a jump of 21'10.25".


In the Class C boys 110-meter hurdles, Zavier Mitchell of Alma placed 3rd with a time of 14.55.


In the Class C boys 300-meter hurdles, Zavier Mitchell of Alma placed 3rd with a time of 39.85.


In Class D girls high jump, Aspen Billeter of Southwest placed 4th with a leap of 5'1, and Jensyn Weiss of Cambridge placed 5th with a leap of 5'1".


In Class D girls shot put, Kennedy Bailey of DCS was the State Runner-up with a throw of 43'3.25.

In the Class D girls 800-meter run, Shelby Schoene of Bertrand placed 4th with a time of 2:24.64, Emily Schack of DCS placed 5th with a time of 2:25.52, Lydia McGowen of Cambridge placed 6th with a time of 2:25.73, and Andrea Almanza of Wauneta-Palisade placed 8th with a time of 2:26.44.


In the Class D girls 4x100-meter relay, Hitchcock County placed 7th with a time of 51.54, which was run by Kalissa Hagan, Rilynn Cook, Reese Tines, and Aspen Hazlitt.


In the Class D girls 100-meter hurdles, Abi Spargo of DCS earned the gold medal with a time of 14.92.


In the Class D girls 1600-meter run, Lydia McGowen of Cambridge placed 3rd with a time of 5:24.87, and Andrea Almanza of Wauneta-Palisade placed 8th with a time of 5:28.02.


In the Class D girls 300-meter hurdles, Abi Spargo of DCS set a new state and state meet record with a time of 43.23, which earned her back-to-back golds in this event.


In the Class D girls 200-meter dash, Clara Spargo of DCS was the State Runner-up with a time of 25.03.


In the Class D girls 4x400-meter relay, DCS set a new state and state meet record time of 4:00.84, which was run by Char Lutz, Emily Schack, Abi Spargo, and Clara Spargo; and Southern Valley placed 8th with a time of 4:16.18, which was run by Cali Santifer, Natalee Holste, Sophia Cunningham, and Haisley McQuiston.

In Class D boys long jump, Noah Zoltenko of DCS placed 4th with a jump of 20'10".


In Class D boys pole vault, the top 5 places all went to RPAC athletes. Jackson Saner of Sutherland took the gold with a vault of 15'0", Cooper Knackstedt of Hi-Line took 2nd with a vault of 14'6", Gage Hammond of Southwest placed 3rd with a vault of 14'0", Isaac Hernandez of Bertrand placed 4th with a vault of 14'0", and Kaden Klumpe of Cambridge placed 5th with a vault of 14'0".


In Class D boys discus, Brock Bailey of DCS was the State Champion with a toss of 176'9", and Adam Kisker of Hitchcock County placed 3rd with a toss of 161'6".


In the Class D boys 800-meter run, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley placed 4th with a time of 2:00.10.


In the Class D boys 4x100-meter relay, DCS earned the silver with a time of 43.64, which was run by Noah Zoltenko, Blaine Aldridge, Kevin Garcia, and Ethan Latta; Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 43.97, which was run by Colt Gosnell, Jayden Cyr, Jesse Reyes, and Jahven Reyes; and Hi-Line placed 5th with a time of 44.68, which was run by Justin Ervin, Brody Diefenbaugh, Cooper Knackstedt, and Kane Cochrane.


In the Class D boys 110-meter hurdles, Kevin Garcia of DCS placed 3rd with a time of 14.89.


In the Class D boys 100-meter dash, Jahven Reyes of Maxwell placed 3rd with a time of 11.01, Brody Hubl of Hitchcock County placed 4th with a time of 11.13, and Tekoa Hazlitt of Hitchcock County placed 8th with a time of 11.39.


In the Class D boys 1600-meter run, Kael Garrett of Medicine Valley defended his title with a time of 4:35.07.


In the Class D boys 300-meter hurdles, Kevin Garcia of DCS placed 1st with a time of 39.35, and Hayden Sich of Arapahoe placed 5th with a time of 41.40.


In the Class D boys 200-meter dash, Tekoa Hazlitt of Hitchcock County placed 5th with a time of 23.30, and Thunder Nelson placed 7th with a time of 23.51.


In the Class D boys 4x400-meter relay, DCS was crowned the state champion with a time of 3:27.16, which was run by Kevin Garcia, Blaine Aldridge, August Shaw, and Ethan Latta; and Hi-Line placed 8th with a time of 3:33.90, which was run by Gage Rupp, Brody Diefenbaugh, Cooper Knackstedt, and Traevyn Koch.
