Rainy Friday Results in Five Golds for RPAC Athletes on Day One: Classes C & D of NSAA State Track Meet

After a couple of rain delays, Friday's action for Classes C & D is in the books. It was a full day with some great marks, and we can expect Saturday to be just as good, but with better weather. 17 medals were handed out to RPAC athletes. Check out the full recap!

Class C Girls
In the 4x800-meter relay, Maywood-Hayes Center ran a great race, placing 3rd with a time of 9:50.80, with Caylie Softley, Carly Softley, Ava Messersmith, and Addison Richards.
In the 100-meter hurdles prelims, Tierston Moore of Alma ran a time of 15.55. That time wasn't quite enough to make it to Saturday's finals.
In the 3200-meter run, Aysha Neal of Alma placed 18th with a time of 12:35.50.

Class C Boys
In the triple jump, Tucker Biskup of Alma placed 12th with a leap of 42'2.75".
In the 4x800-meter relay, Alma ran a time of 8:16.96, which placed them 5th. This relay was run by Barrett Zikmund, Nolan Pfeil, Isaiah Neal, and Eric Dicke.
In the 110-meter hurdles, Zavier Mitchell of Alma placed 3rd with a time of 14.31. He qualified for Saturday's finals with the third fastest time.

Class D Girls
In pole vault, Alyssa Koch of Southwest and Molly Yearous of Wauneta-Palisade tied for 3rd with vaults of 10'0", and Jaleigh Hansen of Paxton placed 7th with a vault of 10'0". Livia Philips of Bertrand finished in 9th, just outside of the medals, with a vault of 9'6". Cali Sanitifer of Southern Valley finished 11th with a vault of 9'6", Kate Salberg of Cambridge placed 14th with a vault of 9'0", Taytum Roskop of Arapahoe placed tied for 18th with a vault of 8'6", Eva Crowley of Paxton placed 21st with a vault of 8'6", and Adrian Sand of Bertand tied for 23rd with a vault of 8'0".
In discus, Kennedy Bailey of DCS earned her third-straight gold medal with a toss of 147'1". Reece Glinn of Paxton placed 19th with a toss of 101'5", and Emily Schack of DCS placed 20th with a toss of 100'8".

In long jump, Aspen Hazlitt of Hitchcock County placed 6th with a jump of 16'9.25". Aspen Billeter of Southwest placed 9th with a jump of 16'7", and Madysen Carlson of Hitchcock County placed 15th with a jump of 15'7.75".
In the 4x800-meter relay, Wauneta-Palisade placed 4th with a time of 10:25.21. This relay was run by Annaly Ramirez, Addalyn Einspahr, Kamryn Fanning, and Andrea Almanza.
In the 100-meter hurdles prelims, Abi Spargo of DCS posted the fastest qualifying time at 15.12, advancing to the finals on Saturday. Ellyana Walkington of Southwest ran a time of 17.20, and RiLee Schutz of Hi-Line ran a time of 17.70.
In the 100-meter dash prelims, there were no finalists. Rilynn Cook of Hitchcock County ran a time of 13.17, Aspen Hazlitt of Hitchcock County ran a time of 13.39, and Lilah Baldeh of DCS ran a time of 13.71.
In the 400-meter dash, it was a great race down to the finish. Clara Spargo of DCS was able to hold on to secure her third-straight 400-meter dash gold medal with a time of 57.59. Haisley McQuiston was in heat two of three and ran a really good race to earn the 3rd place medal with a time of 59.11. Jaleigh Hansen of Paxton placed 18th with a time of 62.80.

In the 3200-meter run, Lydia McGowen ran strongly to take home the state runner-up title with a time of 11:44.25. Shelby Schoene of Bertrand placed 6th with a time of 11:59.22. Annaly Ramirez of Wauneta-Palisade placed 10th with a time of 12:24.57.
In the 200-meter dash prelims, Clara Spargo of DCS qualified for the finals on Saturday with the second fastest time of 25.32. Reese Tines of Hitchcock County ran a time of 27.72, and Rilynn Cook of Hitchcock County ran a time of 27.82.

In the triple jump, Thunder Nelson of Bertrand finished 10th with a jump of 42'0.25", and Easton Dancer of Sutherland finished 21st with a jump of 39'0".
In high jump, Ethan Latta of DCS was named state champion with his leap of 6'7". Mason Roblee of Medicine Valley finished 18th with a leap of 5'9", and Jagger Kleewein of Maxwell competed but was unfortunately unable to clear a height.
In shot put, Brock Bailey of DCS was the state champion with a throw of 62'7.5". Carlos Diaz of DCS placed 18th with a throw of 45'9.25", and Adam Kisker of Hitchcock County placed 20th with a toss of 45'2".
In the 4x800-meter relay, Wallace placed 8th with a time of 8:40.86, which was run by Max Hanson, Bradley Hanson, Colt Franklin, and Tristan Manary. Paxton finished 14th with a time of 8:56.18, which was run by AJ McMillian Peters, Jesse Connick, Landon Drews, and Landon Cleveland.
In the 100-meter hurdle prelims, Kevin Garcia of DCS earned the second fastest qualifying time for Saturday's finals with a time of 15.04. Hayden Sich of Arapahoe ran a time of 16.39.
In the 100-meter dash prelims, Brody Hubl of Hitchcock County qualified for the finals with a time of 11.24, Jahven Reyes of Maxwell qualified for the finals with a time of 11.07, and Tekoa Hazlitt of Hitchcock County qualified for the finals with a time of 11.27. Justin Ervin of Hi-Line ran a time of 11.43.

Blaine Aldridge of DCS just missed the finals, running a time of 23.44. Kane Cochrane of Hi-Line ran a time of 23.68, Justin Ervin ran a time of 23.69, and Jack Wallace of Sutherland ran a time of 24.06.
