RPAC VOLLEYBALL RESULTS AS OF 10/30



Alma

Alma was the #2 seed in the D1-9 Sub-District hosted by Axtell. The Cardinals battled with #3 seeded Loomis and were swept by the Wolves with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-20. Alma finished the season with a record of 20-10.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe was the #3 seed in the D1-11 Sub-District hosted by Cambridge. The Warriors were assigned #2 Maywood-Hayes Center. They were swept by the Wolves with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-9. Arapahoe was led by Sabrina Jacobsen with 12 kills while Gentry Warner posted 23 assists. Arapahoe finished the season with a record of 11-14.


Bertrand

Bertrand was the #5 seed in the D2-8 Sub-District hosted by Overton. The Vikings took on #4 Brady and it was a five set thriller. The Eagles took the 1st set 25-21, the Vikings took the 2nd 25-23, Brady took the 3rd 25-9, and then Bertrand forced a 5th set by winning the 4th set 25-17. Ultimately, the Vikings came up short falling in the 5th set with a score of 15-12. Brooklyn Evans led the way for the Vikings with 14 kills while Addison Andersen tallied 16 assists and four aces. Bertrand finished the season with a record of 8-18.


Cambridge

Cambridge played host for the D1-11 Sub-District and earned the #1 seed. They battled #4 Hi-Line and were able to sweep the Bulls 3-0 to advance to Tuesday night. Erin Johnson led the way with 12 kills. On Tuesday, Cambridge faced off with Maywood-Hayes Center for the second time this season. After dropping the first set, it was all the Trojans as they won sets two, three, and four to win the match 3-1. Jacey Kent led the way for them as she accumulated 23 kills and 18 digs. With that win, Cambridge advanced to the D1-2 District Final match on Saturday. Cambridge, the #2 seed, faced off with #15 Bancroft-Rosalie in Grand Island at Grand Island Central Catholic. The Trojans swept the Panthers to win the match 3-0. Jalen Kent led the way for the Trojans with 12 kills and 21 digs while Jacey Kent and Johnson posted 11 kills each. Breelle Miller tallied 37 assists on the match. With this win, Cambridge advanced to play in the State Tournament November 2-5 in Lincoln. Cambridge will be the #2 seed and face #7 Cedar Catholic at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 3rd on the South Court of Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Trojans head into the tournament with a record of 29-2.


Dundy County Stratton

Dundy County Stratton earned the #5 seed of the D2-9 Sub-District hosted by Wallace. They battled the #4 seeded Hitchcock County and fell 3-0 with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-19. The Tigers finished the season with a record of 0-28.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County earned the #4 seed of the D2-9 Sub-District hosted by Wallace. They took on #5 Dundy County Stratton and was able to come away with a 3-0 win. Katie Jarecke led the way with seven kills while Byanka Tyan posted seven aces. With that win, the Falcons advanced to take on the #1 seed, Wallace. After falling in the first set, 25-12, Hitchcock was able to steal the second set 25-23. The Wildcats then turned it on and ran away with the third and fourth sets with scores of 25-6 and 25-9. The Falcons were led by Tyan and Kaiah Johnson with six kills each. Hitchcock County finished the season with a record of 9-22.


Maxwell

Maxwell was the #5 seed of the D1-12 Sub-District hosted by South Platte. The Wildcats took on #4 Sandhills Valley where they were able to come away with the 3-0 sweep and advance to take on #1 South Platte. Maxwell was swept by South Platte, 3-0, with set. scores of 25-9, 25-17, and 25-17. They end the year with a 5-25 record.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center was the #2 seed in the D1-11 Sub-District hosted by Cambridge and took on #3 Arapahoe. The Wolves won in straight sets, 3-0. Olivia Hansen led the way with 17 kills. They advanced to take on #1 seeded Cambridge on Tuesday evening, their lone loss on the season. Maywood-Hayes Center took the first set but the Trojans were too much for the Wolves as they dropped the next three sets to lose the match 3-1. It was Hansen again as she posted 19 kills. With the loss, they earned a Wildcard to advance to the D1-3 District final match where they earned the #3 seed and hosted #14 Pleasanton in Maywood. The Wolves swept the Bulldogs 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-19. Maywood-Hayes Center advances to the State Tournament November 2-5 in Lincoln. They earned the #3 seed and will take on #6 Meridian on Thursday, November 3rd at 3:00 P.M. at Pinnacle Bank Arena on the south court. The Wolves head into the tournament with a record of 25-2.


Medicine Valley

Medicine Valley was the #3 seed in the D2-8 Sub-District hosted by Overton. The Raiders faced #2 Anselmo-Merna. The Coyotes were just too much as they took the match 3-1. Medicine Valley was led by Sienna Houghtelling with 10 kills. They finish the season with a record of 12-11.


Paxton

Paxton earned the #2 seed in the D2-9 Sub-District hosted by Wallace. They were battled with #3 Wauneta-Palisade where it took four sets, but the Tigers came away with the 3-1 win. Audrey Holm led the way with 20 kills. They advanced to Tuesday night where they faced off with #1 seeded Wallace. The Tigers were swept, 3-0 and led by Holm with 16 kills. They finished their season with a record of 22-7.


Southern Valley

Southern Valley earned the #3 seed in the C2-11 Sub-District hosted by Southwest and took on #2 South Loup. The Eagles fell to the Bobcats, 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, and 25-21. Southern Valley finished the season with a record of 13-16.


Southwest

Southwest played host as they earned the #1 seed for the C2-11 Sub-District. They took on #5 North Platte St. Pat's and the Roughriders were able to sweep the Irish 3-0. Bryn Lampe had 35 assists and five blocks while Caylin Barnett had 17 kills. With that win, Southwest advanced to take on South Loup on Tuesday night. They were able to defeat the Bobcats 3-1 and were again led by Lampe's 42 assists and Barnett's 15 kills. The Roughriders advanced to the C2-6 District Final. The hosted #11 seeded Fullerton and were able to come away with the 3-1 win and advance to the State Tournament November 2-5 in Lincoln. Lampe had 42 assists and Barnett had a monster game as she posted 29 kills and 21 digs. Southwest earned the #5 seed in Class C2 and will take on #4 Oakland-Craig on Thursday, November 3rd at Pinnacle Bank Arena, north court, at 7:00 P.M.


Wallace

Wallace earned the #1 seed in the D2-9 Sub-District and earned the hosting rights. They took on #4 Hitchcock County and were able to come away with the 3-1 win. Karlie Finley posted 17 kills and 17 blocks. The Wildcats advanced to take on #2 seeded Paxton on Tuesday. In the 3-0 victory over Paxton, Wallace was led by Kendyl Flaming with 12 kills. They victory advanced Wallace to the D2-8 District Final where Wallace earned the #8 seed and took on #9 Stuart at Broken Bow. The Wildcats fell 3-0. Finley led the way with eight kills. Wallace finished the season with a record of 27-6.


Wauneta-Palisade

Wauneta-Palisade was the #3 seed in the D2-9 Sub-District hosted by Wallace. They took on #2 seeded Paxton and fell 3-1. Peyton Cox led the Broncos with 14 kills. Wauneta-Palisade finished the season with a record of 10-17.


Congratulations to all the RPAC schools on great seasons and good luck to Cambridge, Maywood-Hayes Center, and Southwest as they represent the RPAC at the State Tournament this week.
