RPAC Volleyball Results as of 10/4

Another week is in the books as the RPAC Tournament is inching closer, with the tournament beginning on October 15th. Let's see how the week shook out.

Alma

Alma traveled to Red Cloud on Tuesday for a triangular with them and Franklin.


Against Red Cloud, the Cardinals were swept 2-0, with set scores of 25-12 and 25-15. No stats were uploaded at the time of writing. Once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.


Against Franklin, Alma earned the 2-0 sweep, with set scores of 25-22 and 25-18. No stats were uploaded at the time of writing. Once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.


On Thursday, Alma traveled to Overton for a triangular with them and Southwest.


Against Overton, Alma was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-22 and 29-27. No stats were uploaded at the time of writing. Once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.


Against Southwest, Alma took set one 26-24 and lost sets two and three, 25-20 and 25-22, to fall 2-1. No stats were uploaded at the time of writing. Once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.


On Friday, Alma hosted Elm Creek and was swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-21, 25-6, and 25-11. No stats were uploaded at the time of writing. Once they are uploaded, we will update the blog.


Alma is 7-15 and will host Southern Valley on Tuesday and SEM on Thursday.


Arapahoe

On Tuesday, Arapahoe hosted Hershey and had a five-set thriller. Arapahoe took the first two sets 25-18 and 30-28. Hershey then regrouped and took the next three sets, 25-20, 25-22, and 15-5, to defeat Arapahoe, 3-2. Taytum Roskop had 15 kills and 17 digs; Clara Hilker had 14 kills, two aces, four blocks, and 11 digs; Desi Farner had 14 kills and 20 digs; Cydney Carlson had seven kills and six blocks; Ruby McCune had six blocks and six digs; Sawyer Shafer had two aces, 24 digs, and 45 assists; and Suttyn Shafer had two aces and 25 digs.


In that match, Sawyer Shafer eclipsed 1,000 career assists and broke the school record for career assists. The junior will continue to add to that as this season rolls on.


On Thursday, Arapahoe traveled to Medicine Valley for a triangular with the Raiders and Paxton. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; Click here to read the full recap.


Against Medicine Valley, Roskop had seven kills and eight digs; Hilker had six kills, three aces, and 10 digs; Farner had six kills, four aces, and 11 digs; McCune had two aces and six digs; Suttyn Shafer had five digs; and Sawyer Shafer ahd six digs and 21 assists.


Against Paxton, Roskop had 14 kills and 18 digs; Hilker had 11 kills, two aces, and 13 digs; Carlson had six kills; Farner had six kills and 12 digs; McCune had four digs; Sawyer Shafer had nine digs and 39 assists; and Suttyn Shafer had 23 digs.


Arapahoe is 14-3 and will host Axtell on Tuesday, and will travel to Hi-Line on Thursday for a triangular with the Bulls and Cambridge.

Bertrand

The Vikings had a light week with just one match on Tuesday. They hit the road to take on Axtell. It was a five-set match, and Bertrand came up short, 3-2. The Vikings took the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-16. Axtell took the next three sets, 25-17, 25-18, and 15-11. Livia Philips had 10 kills, four aces, and 21 digs; Adrian Sand had eight kills, two aces, and 27 digs; Alivia Rabe had eight kills and eight digs; Jocelyn Hernandez had seven kills, two blocks, and four digs; Elle Sand had six digs; Bailey Vinzant had 12 digs; Baylee Kipp had 44 digs; and Adlea Hock had 20 digs and 35 assists.


Bertrand is now 6-13, and they will host Ansley-Litchfield and Wilcox-Hildreth on Tuesday for a triangular and travel to Anselmo-Merna for a tournament on Saturday.


Cambridge

The Trojans traveled to Cozad on Tuesday for a triangular with the Haymakers and McCook.


Against McCook, Cambridge lost set one, 27-25, won set two, 25-20, and lost the deciding set, 25-17, ultimately losing the match 2-1. Kyrie Houghtelling had 11 kills and two aces; Brooklyn Holtze had 10 kills, five digs, and 11 assists; Joslyn Holtze had seven kills and 11 digs; Peyton Soucie had five kills, six digs, and 15 assists; Kate Salberg had three aces and 12 digs; and Jayda Kinkade had three digs and three assists.


Against Cozad, the Trojans took set one 25-20, and lost sets two and three, 25-22 and 27-25, losing the match, 2-1. B. Holtze had eight kills, two aces, 11 digs, and 14 assists; J. Holtze had eight kills, two aces, and nine digs; Houghtelling had six kills, two blocks, and 12 digs; Soucie had six kills, eight digs, and 13 assists; Kinkade had two aces and six digs; and Salberg had 16 digs.


On Thursday, Cambridge hosted Maywood-Hayes Center and Gothenburg for a triangular.


Against Gothenburg, Cambridge lost set one 29-27, won set two 25-21, and lost set three 25-14, losing the match, 2-1. B. Holtze had 15 kills, two aces, two blocks, 11 digs, and 10 assists; J. Holtze had seven kills, four blocks, and 12 digs; Houghtelling had five kills, two aces, and seven digs; Kinkade had three aces; Colyns Mowry had two blocks; Soucie had four digs and 18 assists; and Salberg had 18 digs.


Against Maywood-Hayes Center, the Wolves took set one 25-23, and Cambridge took sets two and three, 25-18 and 25-19, to win the match 2-1. B. Holtze had nine kills, seven digs, and 10 assists; Soucie had seven kills, three aces, 13 digs, and 13 assists; Houghtelling had five kills and five digs; J. Holtze had five kills, three aces, and five digs; Mowry had three aces and four digs; and Salberg had three digs.


Cambridge is 13-5 and will travel to South Loup on Tuesday for a triangular with them and Maxwell, and will travel to Hi-Line for a triangular with the Bulls and Arapahoe.

Dundy County Stratton

On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted Wauneta-Palisade and got the 3-0 sweep. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup; click here to read the full recap. Abi Spargo had 16 kills, three aces, three blocks, and nine digs; Emily Schack had nine kills, four aces, and eight digs; Ava Lutz had six kills, two blocks, and two digs; Charli Shaw had four aces, two blocks, and four digs; Kimberly Escobar had nine digs; and Bree Lutz had four digs and 24 assists.


Dundy County Stratton traveled to Decatur Community, KS, on Saturday for a tournament.


Hi-Line

The Bulls traveled to Wallace on Thursday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-23. RiLee Schutz had 22 kills and eight digs; Lauryn Ruda had 11 kills, four aces, and two digs; Klaire Pohl had four aces, six digs, and 30 assists; Bristol Kubert had three aces and five digs; Piper Puls had two aces and three digs; Kylee Kubert had two aces; and Jurnee Harris had nine digs.


Hi-Line is 12-8 and will host SEM on Tuesday and host Cambridge and Arapahoe for a triangular on Thursday.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County hosted Atwood-Rawlins County, KS, on Monday. The Falcons dropped set one, 25-12, and responded well, taking the next three sets, 25-12, 25-13, and 25-19, to win the match 3-1. Ensley Lawless had 15 kills, two aces, and 11 digs; Kalissa Hagan had nine kills, two aces, 11 digs, and 13 assists; Katelyn Cook had eight kills, two blocks, and 10 digs; Jayda Wood had six aces, seven digs, and 23 assists; and Emma Hagan had two aces and 10 digs.


The Falcons traveled to Oakley, KS, on Saturday for a tournament.

Maxwell

The Wildcats traveled to Brady on Friday, and it took five sets to find a winner. Brady took the first set 26-24; Maxwell took set two 25-22; Brady took set three 25-20; Maxwell took set four 25-17; and Maxwell took the deciding set 16-14. Ryan had 12 kills and 21 digs; Emory Christensen had 11 kills, two aces, 22 digs, and 15 assists; Madelynn Nelson had 10 kills and 30 digs; Ava Gosnell had five kills; Rochelle Bradley had two aces and 26 digs; Eden Fletcher had seven digs; Avery Falcon had six digs; and Keira Strickland had nine digs and 18 assists.


Maxwell is 8-11 and will travel to South Loup on Tuesday for a triangular with them and Cambridge, will host Mullen on Friday, and host Hershey and North Platte St. Pat's on Saturday for a triangular.


Maywood-Hayes Center

The Wolves traveled to Wallace on Tuesday for a triangular with the Wildcats and Brady.


Against Brady, MHC won 25-21 and 25-21, going 2-0. Caylie Softley had 13 kills, three aces, and six digs; Jillian Johnson had seven kills; Haylie Gustafson had five kills and two blocks; Paytyn Stengel had two aces and eight digs; Addison Richards had three blocks; Maddyn Farr had six digs; Jaylee Sellers had six digs and 14 assists; Chloe Jeffers had 10 digs, and Lanie Soundy had 11 assists.


Against Wallace, the Wolves won 2-0, with set scores of 25-8 and 25-15. Softley had seven kills and five digs; Richards had seven kills and two aces; Gustafson had six kills; Johnson had six aces; Sellers had three aces and 12 assists; Harli Cox had two aces; Jeffers had four digs; and Soundy had eight assists.


On Thursday, MHC traveled to Cambridge for a triangular with the Trojans and Gothenburg.


Against Gothenburg, the Wolves took set one 25-19, and Gothenburg took sets two and three 25-17 and 25-14 to defeat MHC 2-1. Gustafson had six kills; Softley had six kills, five aces, and 10 digs; Richards had three aces; Jeffers had two aces and six digs; Johnson had three blocks; Izzy Messinger had two blocks; Sellers had six digs and 11 assists; and Soundy had five assists.


Against Cambridge, the Wolves took set one 25-23 and lost sets two and three, 25-18 and 25-19, to lose the match 2-1. On Tuesday, the Eagles hosted Amherst and were swept 3-0 with scores of 25-9, 25-7, and 25-17. Haisley McQuiston had five kills; Kim Aguayo had two aces and five digs; Lauren Quinn had five digs; Cali Santifer had 11 digs; Sophia Cunningham had 14 digs; and Emercen Lovitt had three assists.


Southern Valley is 1-18 and will travel to Alma on Tuesday, host Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday, and travel to Kenesaw on Saturday for a tournament.


Southwest

Southwest hosted Loomis on Tuesday and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, and 25-18. Kalli Kurkowski had six kills; Lacie Houser had five kills; Natalie Neseth had two aces; Ellyana Walkington had five digs; Aspen Billeter had 10 digs and 18 assists; and Mila Nelms had seven digs.


Southwest traveled to Overton for a triangular with them and Alma.
