Let's jump right into the volleyball results from last week, as there were a ton of matches!
Alma
The Cardinals started their week on Tuesday with a trip to Northern Valley, KS, for a triangular with Northern Valley and Wilcox-Hildreth.
In their match against Northern Valley, Alma earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-8 and 25-12. Tierston Moore had eight kills and four blocks; Kamryn Scott had three kills, four digs, and nine assists; Vayden Epp had three kills and six digs; and Kamri Neal had four digs.
Against Wilcox-Hildreth, the Falcons took set one, 25-19, and the Cardinals responded to take sets two and three with set scores of 25-8 and 25-16. Moore had 12 kills and 11 digs; Epp had 12 kills and seven digs; Taylor Pool had five kills, three aces, and seven digs; Neal had three blocks and nine digs; Scott had nine digs and 19 assists; and Abbie Pool had five digs and 11 assists.
On Thursday, Elm Creek traveled to town, and it was a great five-set thriller. Alma took the first set, 25-23; Elm Creek took set two, 26-24; Alma took set three, 25-15; Elm Creek took set four, 25-19; and Alma took the deciding set, 15-13, to take the match, 3-2. Moore had a huge match with 20 kills, two aces, three blocks, and nine digs; Epp had eight kills, four aces, and 13 digs; Scott had five kills, 12 digs, and 20 assists; T. Pool had five kills and five blocks; Halee Neubauer had three aces and 10 digs; Neal had 12 digs; and A. Pool had eight digs and 18 assists.
Alma traveled to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament and had three matches: Arapahoe, Maywood-Hayes Center, and Hitchcock County.
Against MHC, the Cardinals were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-21 and 25-21. Moore had 11 kills and five digs; Epp had five kills and three digs; Neubauer had three aces and four digs; Scott had 11 assists; and A. Pool had seven assists.
Against the Falcons, Alma took set one 26-24, lost set two 25-23, and won the third set 26-24 to win the match, 2-1. Moore had 12 kills and 22 digs; Epp had eight kills and five digs; Cayle Molzahn had six kills and seven digs; T. Pool had five kills, four blocks, and six digs; Scott had 13 digs and 15 assists; Neubauer had nine digs; Neal had 16 digs; and A. Pool had 13 assists.

Alma is now 8-5 on the year and will host a triangular on Tuesday with Cozad and Arapahoe, travel to Phillipsburg, KS on Thursday, and travel to Blue Hill on Saturday with Blue Hill and Kenesaw.
Arapahoe
The Warriors traveled to Loomis on Tuesday for a triangular with Maywood-Hayes Center and Loomis.
Against the Wolves of Maywood-Hayes Center, Arapahoe fell 2-0 with set scores of 25-14 and 25-16. Emma Strand had four kills; Taytum Roskop had three kills; Clara Hilker had nine digs; Suttyn Shafer had four digs; Grace Andrews had five assists; and Sawyer Shafer had four assists.
Against Loomis, the Warriors took set one, 25-20, but dropped sets two and three with set scores of 25-17 and 25-12, and lost the match, 2-1. Hilker had nine kills and nine blocks; Strand had four kills, three aces, and three digs; Roskop had four kills and 10 digs; Suttyn Shafer had 16 digs and three aces; Andrews had seven assists; and Sawyer Shafer had 16 digs and seven assists.
On Thursday, Arapahoe hosted Brady, who has been receiving ranking votes in Class D1. The Warrirors took set one, 25-17, lost set two, 25-18, but took sets three and four with set scores of 27-25 and 27-25, winning the match, 3-1. Strand had a huge game with 21 kills and seven digs; Hilker had 18 kills, two blocks, four aces, and 13 digs; Roskop had eight kills, three aces, and 17 digs; Cydney Carlson had six kills and two blocks; Suttyn Shafer had 32 digs; Ryleigh Tidyman had nine digs; Sawyer Shafer had 18 digs and 23 assists; and Andrews had 21 assists.
On Saturday, Arapahoe traveled to Hitchcock County for a tournament and had three matches: Alma, Wauneta-Palisade, and Axtell.
Against Alma, the Warriors dropped set one 25-21, won the second set 25-11, and the third set 25-23, to take the match, 2-1. Strand had 10 kills, five aces, and five digs; Hilker had 11 kills and six digs; Chloe Gooden had 11 digs; Suttyn Shafer had 13 digs; Roskop had seven digs; and Sawyer Shafer had 24 assists.
Against Wauneta-Palisade, the Warriors were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-20. Strand had six kills; Hilker had five digs; Sawyer Shafer had seven digs and three assists; and Andrews had seven assists.
Against Axtell, the Warriors won the first set, 25-15, lost the second set 25-13, and won the third set 25-21, to win the match 2-1. Hilker had 13 kills, two aces, and 14 digs; Strand had 11 kills, three aces, and six digs; Roskop had 12 digs; Suttyn Shafer had 20 digs; Gooden had six digs; and Sawyer Shafer had 13 digs and 23 assists.
Arapahoe is 5-5 and will travel to Alma on Tuesday for a triangular with Cozad and the Cardinals, and will travel to Southern Valley for a triangular with Bertrand and the Eagles.
Bertrand

The Vikings hosted Hi-Line and Cozad for a triangular.

Bertrand is now 2-8 and will travel to South Loup on Tuesday for a triangular with the Bobcats and Brady, and will travel to Southern Valley for a triangular with the Eagles and Arapahoe.
Cambridge
Cambridge traveled to Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday for a triangular with the Tigers and North Platte St. Pat's.
Against the Irish, Cambridge earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-13 and 25-17. Brooklyn Holtze had 10 kills, seven digs, and eight assists; Mallory Springer had six kills, eight digs, and 12 assists; Elisabeth Kubik had three kills, three aces, two blocks, and two digs; Anabelle Taylor added seven digs, and Kolbryn Clason and Joslyn Holtze each had five digs.
Against Dundy County Stratton, the Trojans took set one 25-14, lost set two 25-23, and won the third set 25-21, to win the match, 2-1. B. Holtze had 16 kills, five digs, and 11 assists; Springer had nine kills, three aces, 12 digs, and 17 assists; J. Holtze had five kills and eight digs; Kubik had four kills and five digs; Clason added eight digs, and Taylor had six digs.
On Thursday, Cambridge had a big matchup with Overton on the road, which is one of the top teams in D1. It was a five-set thriller. Cambridge took set one 25-20, lost set two 25-15, won set three 25-23, lost set four 25-18, and came up just short in set five 15-12, and lost the match, 3-2. Springer had 21 kills, three aces, 17 digs, and 12 assists; B. Holtze had 11 kills, four blocks, 18 digs, and 22 assists; Kubik had four blocks and nine digs; J. Holtze had two blocks and 17 digs; Taylor had two blocks and 12 digs; and Clason had 18 digs.
Cambridge is now 9-2 on the year and will host Wallace on Thursday and travel to McCook for a tournament on Saturday.
Dundy County Stratton
On Tuesday, Dundy County Stratton hosted Cambridge and North Platte St. Pat's for a triangular.
Against the Irish, NPSP took set one, 26-24, but DCS took sets two and three with set scores of 25-20 and 25-15 to take the match, 2-1. Emily Schack has 12 kills and five digs; Clara Spargo had eight kills, four aces, three blocks, and eight digs; Abi Spargo had seven kills, three aces, four blocks, and five digs; Ava Lutz had four kills and four aces; Kimberly Escobar had nine digs; and Bree Lutz had three aces, five digs, and 23 assists.
Against Cambridge, it was another three-set match, as the Trojans took set one, 25-14; DCS took set two, 25-23; and the Trojans took set three, 25-21, to win the match, 2-1. C. Spargo had 10 kills and 13 digs; Schack had 10 kills, two aces, and seven digs; A. Spargo had six kills, seven blocks, and five digs; and B. Lutz had three aces and 23 assists.
On Thursday, the Tigers traveled to Medicine Valley to have a dual with the Raiders. DCS swept the match, 3-0, with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, and 25-17. Schack led the Tigers with 13 kills, three aces, and six digs; A. Spargo had seven kills; C. Spargo had five kills and five aces; A. Lutz had four kills; and B. Lutz had five aces and 26 digs.
DCS is 6-2 on the season and is off until Thursday when Cheylin-Bird City, KS, comes to town, and then will head to the North Platte Community College tournament on Saturday.
Hi-Line
Hi-Line traveled to take on Southwest on Tuesday and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-11. Lauryn Ruda had five kills; RiLee Schutz had three kills and 10 digs; Kylee Kubert had three kills and six digs; and Klaire Pohl had 10 assists.
On Thursday, Hi-Line traveled to Bertrand for a triangular with the Vikings and Cozad.
Against Cozad, the Bulls were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-8 and 25-8. Ruda had four kills; Schutz had three kills and four digs; Bentley Stubbs had four kills; and Pohl had five assists.
Against Bertrand, the Bulls dropped set one, 25-22, but won sets two and three with set scores of 25-23 and 25-20 to win the match, 2-1. Ruda had eight kills, three aces, and three blocks; Schutz had six kills and 24 digs; Kubert had three kills and 10 digs; Stubbs had eight digs; Brsistol Kubert had nine digs; Piper Puls had five digs; and Pohl had 13 digs and 16 assists.
On Saturday, Hi-Line traveled to Loomis for a tournament, competing in three matches: against Silver Lake, Bertrand, and Wallace.
Against Silver Lake, the Bulls were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-13 and 25-23. Schutz had eight kills and 12 digs; Puls had six digs; Stubbs had five digs; and Pohl had five digs and 13 assists.
Against Bertrand, the Bulls took set one 25-13, but lost the next two sets with set scores of 25-22 and 25-23, to lose the match, 2-1. Ruda had 17 kills, two aces, two blocks, and four digs; Schutz had four kills, two blocks, and 18 digs; Jurnee Harris had 10 digs; Kubert had 12 digs; Stubbs had nine digs; Bristol Kubert had six digs; Julea Moore had six digs; and Pohl had nine digs and 17 assists.
Against Wallace, Hi-Line took set one, 25-22, lost set two, 25-21, and won the third set, 25-9, to win the match, 2-1. Hi-Line is now 4-8 and will host a triangular on Thursday with Axtell and Loomis.
Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County hosted Perkins County and Wallace for a triangular on Tuesday.
Against Perkins County, the Falcons were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-18 and 25-20. Asia Homma led the team with five kills; Riley Hagan added three kills and five digs; Katelyn Cook had three kills; Kalissa Hagan had three aces, four digs, and 6 assists; and Jayda Wood had seven assists.
Against Wallace, Hitchcock County earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18 and 25-10. R. Hagan had 13 kills and 12 digs; Madysen Carlson had nine kills and eight digs; Homma had five kills, four aces, and 12 digs; K. Hagan had six digs and 14 assists; and Wood had 13 assists.
Hitchcock County hosted a tournament on Saturday and played two matches. They faced Maywood-Hayes Center and Alma.

Maxwell
Maxwell hosted Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday, and what a match. It took all five sets, but the Wolves took the match, 3-2. MHC took set one, 25-17; Maxwell took set two, 25-21; MHC took set three, 25-12; Maxwell took set four, 25-21; and MHC took set five, 15-8. Kristyn Cheek had 15 kills and 13 digs; Emory Christensen had 10 kills, 11 digs, and 27 assists; Madelyn Flock had eight kills and nine digs; Rylynn Quick had six kills; Ellys Gosnell had 11 digs; and Madelynn Nelson had eight digs and eight assists.
On Saturday, Maxwell traveled to Loomis for a tournament and played three matches against Bertrand, Franklin, and Wallace.
Against Wallace, Maxwell earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-19. Cheek had five kills, two blocks, and six digs; Nelson had seven digs; Flock had seven digs; and Christensen had 12 assists.
Against Franklin, the Flyers took set one 25-23, the Wildcats took set two, 26-24, and Franklin took set three 25-23 and the match, 2-1. The Wolves had a busy week as they had six matches. They started their week on Tuesday in Loomis for a triangular with the Wolves and Arapahoe.
Against Loomis, Maywood-Hayes Center got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18 and 25-23. Caylie Softley had 11 kills and seven digs; Blayklee Farr had five kills and six digs; Karissa Stengel had three aces, three blocks, seven digs, and 11 assists; Ensley Lawless had 12 digs; and Lanie Soundy had nine assists.
Against Arapahoe, the Wolves earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14 and 25-16. Softley had 12 kills and three digs; Stengel had five kills, five aces, nine digs, and seven assists; Addison Richards had four kills; Lawless had seven digs; Farr had four digs; and Lanie Soundy had nine assists.
On Thursday, MHC traveled to Maxwell for a dual. What a match, it took all five sets, but the Wolves took the match, 3-2. Maywood-Hayes Center improves to 10-1 on the year and will travel to Hershey on Tuesday for a dual, Wauneta-Palisade on Thursday for a dual, and then travel to McCook on Saturday for a tournament.
Medicine Valley

Oakley Stout had 11 kills and 11 digs; TeeJay Hildebrandt had 10 kills, two aces, and 14 digs; Kenley Cole had three aces and 11 digs; Kamree Elsten had six aces, nine digs, and 23 assists; and Ashtyn Contrerez had seven digs.
On Thursday, the Raiders hosted Dundy County Stratton and were swept, 3-0, 25-12, 25-22, and 25-17. Stout had 10 kills, five aces, and four digs; Cole had four digs; Hildebrandt had four digs; Elsten had nine assists; and Gracie Johns had seven assists.
On Saturday, Medicine Valley traveled to the Seven Valleys Tournament and had three matches: Twin Loup, Paxton, and Mullen.
Against Mullen, the Raiders were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-11 and 25-10. Aspen Closman, Stout, and Cole each had one kill. Stout added two aces, one block, and three digs, and Johns had five digs.
Against Twin Loup, Medicine Valley took set one, 27-25, but dropped sets two and three with set scores of 25-23 and 25-10, dropping the match, 2-1. Medicine Valley falls to 0-8 and will host Creek Valley on Monday, travel to Sandhills/Thedford on Tuesday, and host Hitchcock County on Thursday.
Paxton
Paxton traveled to Brady on Tuesday and was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, and 25-8. Addison Holm had 12 kills and nine digs; Jakcee Mitchell had six kills and 20 digs; Reece Glinn had 13 digs; and Hadleigh Kramer had seven digs and 23 assists.
On Thursday, the Tigers traveled to Garden County for a triangular with the Eagles and Minatare.
Against Minatare, Paxton got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-10. Glinn had six kills and nine digs; Holm had four aces; Kramer had five digs and 18 assists.
Against Garden County, Paxton dropped set one with set scores of 25-17, but responded to take sets two and three with set scores of 25-21 and 25-15. Holm had 12 kills, three blocks, and eight digs; Mitchell had eight kills and seven digs; Hansen had five kills and nine digs; Kramer had seven digs and 25 assists; Glinn had seven aces and six digs.
On Saturday, the Tigers traveled to the Seven Valleys Tournament and had three matches: Sandhills/Thedford, Brady, and Medicine Valley.

The Eagles had a busy week as they had seven matches. They started their week on Tuesday with a triangular in Elm Creek with the Buffaloes and Franklin.
Against Franklin, the Eagles were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-22 and 25-22. Tori Bose had eight kills, three blocks, and seven digs; Lorelie Horwart had six kills; Lauren Quinn had five kills and six digs; Sophia Cunningham had seven digs; Emercen Lovitt had eight digs and 15 assists; and Cali Santifer had nine digs.

Southwest hosted Hi-Line on Tuesday for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-11. Sutherland
The Sailors hosted a triangular on Thursday with Southwest and Southern Valley.
Against Southwest, the Sailors were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-9 and 25-13. Leah Harper and Kate Dyer each had two kills. Addison Arvdal had two blocks; Payten Weber had seven kills; Jali Martinez had five digs; and Drew Rotert had five assists.
Against Southern Valley, Sutherland was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-14. Eliana Dyer had five kills; K. Dyer had four kills; Keeley Dempcy had three aces and five digs; Weber had eight digs; and Rotert had five digs and 12 assists.
On Saturday, Sutherland traveled to Elm Creek for a tournament and had three matches: Perkins County, Southern Valley, and Pleasanton.
Against Perkins County, Sutherland was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-15 and 25-23. E. Dyer had four kills and seven digs; Martinez had eight digs; Weber had four digs; and Rotert had 11 assists.
Against Pleasanton, the Sailors lost 2-0 with set scores of 25-17 and 25-9. E. Dyer and Addisyn Gunderson each had three kills; E. Dyer added three digs; and Rotert had six assists.
Against Southern Valley, the Sailors secured a 2-1 victory, as Southern Valley took set one 25-21, and the Sailors won sets two and three with set scores of 25-11 and 26-24. K. Dyer had seven kills; E. Dyer had six kills, two aces, and three digs; Harper had two aces; Weber had 17 digs; Martinez had nine digs; Gunderson had five digs; and Rotert had two aces, four digs, and 15 assists.
The Sailors are now 2-7 on the year and will travel to Wallace on Tuesday for a triangular with the Wildcats and Mullen, and travel to North Platte Community College for a tournament on Saturday.
Wallace
Wallace traveled to Hitchcock County on Tuesday for a triangular with the Falcons and Perkins County.
Against Perkins County, the Wildcats forced three sets, but came up short in the match, 2-1. Wallace took set one, 25-21, and Perkins County took sets two and three with set scores of 25-18 and 25-20. Reagan Finley had eight kills and eight digs; Mariana Aceves-Lopez had 14 digs; Kaley Sauser had 10 digs and 10 assists; and Allyson Kemp had five digs.
Against Hitchcock County, Wallace was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-18 and 25-10. Sauser had four kills, seven digs, and two assists; Maddison Gartrell had eight digs; Aceves-Lopez had five digs; and Briseyda Vazquez had five digs.
Wallace traveled to Loomis on Saturday and had three matches in tournament play: Lawrence-Nelson, Hi-Line, and Maxwell.

On Thursday, the Broncos traveled to St. Francis, KS, for a triangular with Rawlins County, KS, and St. Francis, KS.
