RPAC Volleyball Results as of 9/29

What a full week of volleyball! The season is in full swing as RPAC teams are getting their matches in before the upcoming RPAC tournament. Check out how the teams did in the blog.


Alma

The Cardinals had a light week, as they had a single match this week, and they traveled to Medicine Valley for a dual on Tuesday. The Cardinals got the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-16. Alma had 11 aces as a team; Kamryn Scott had three, Tierston Moore had three, and Mercedes Garner had three. Moore had eight kills and Chayse Molzahn had six kills. Kamri Neal had seven digs and Moore added seven digs as well. Miley Whitney had 15 assists.


Alma improves to 14-5 and will host a triangular on Tuesday with Red Cloud and Franklin and travel to Southwest on Thursday for a triangular with the Roughriders and Overton.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe hosted Southwest on Tuesday for their only match of the week. The Warriors were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-19. Rylee Bahe had five kills, Sawyer Shafer had nine digs, Desi Farner had nine digs, and Suttyn Shafer had eight digs, and Bahe added 14 assists.


Arapahoe falls to 4-11 and will travel to Loomis on Tuesday for a dual and travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday for a triangular with the Raiders and Paxton.



Bertrand

Bertrand hosted Franklin on Tuesday and avenged a loss from earlier in the season getting the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-16. The Vikings had 15 aces in the match with Livia Philips posting six aces and Katelyn Evans having four. Brooklyn Evans had 12 kills and 13 digs, Philips also had 18 digs, Gracie Hock had 12 digs, and Addison Andersen had 28 assists.


Bertrand hosted a tournament on Saturday and had three matches. They faced Pleasanton, Ravenna, and Wauneta-Palisade.


Against Pleasanton, the Vikings were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-18 and 25-17. B. Evans had six kills and 15 digs, Shelby Schoene had 10 digs, and Andersen had 18 assists.


Against Ravenna, Bertrand got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-11 and 25-19. The Vikings had nine aces as a team and B. Evans had three and Hock also had three. B. Evans had six kills and 10 digs in the match, Hock added 11 digs, and Andersen had 13 assists.


In the match against Wauneta-Palisade, Bertrand dropped set one 25-19 and then won sets two and three 25-14 and 25-20 to win the match, 2-1. B. Evans had 12 kills and 12 digs, Schoene had 10 kills, Hock had 11 digs, and Andersen had 14 digs and 33 assists.


Bertrand is now 11-7 on the year and will travel to Axtell on Tuesday for a dual.


Cambridge

Cambridge hosted Southern Valley on Tuesday for a dual and it took all five sets to determine the winner. Cambridge took sets one and two from the Eagles with set scores of 25-23 and 25-13 but Southern Valley bounced back to take sets three and four with set scores of 25-18 and 25-22 to force the fifth set. In the fifth, it was the Trojans that came out on top with a set score of 15-10. Cambridge won the match, 3-2. Cambridge had 12 aces in the match and Mallory Springer posted seven of those aces. Erin Johnson led the team with 23 kills while Brooklyn Holtze added 10 kills. Joslyn Holtze had four blocks. B. Holtze had 21 digs, Springer added 19 digs, Chloe Gooden and Johnson each had 17 digs, and J. Holtze had 14 digs. Springer had 40 assists in the match.


On Thursday, Cambridge traveled to Medicine Valley for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, and 25-10. There were 16 aces in the match with B. Holtze posting five aces. Johnson had 10 kills, Annabelle Taylor had three blocks, J. Holtze had nine digs, and Springer had 24 assists.


Cambridge improves to 10-7 and will travel to McCook on Tuesday for a triangular with Cozad and the Bison and host Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday for a dual.



Dundy County Stratton

Dundy County Stratton had a single dual with St. Francis, KS on Thursday and won the match 3-2.


The Tigers are now 7-6 and will host Wauneta-Palisade and Northern Valley, KS on Tuesday for a triangular and will travel to Decatur Community, KS on Saturday for a tournament.


Hi-Line

Hi-Line attended the Maywood-Hayes Center Tournament on Tuesday and faced Maywood-Hayes Center and Arthur County.


Against MHC, the Bulls were swept by the Wolves, 2-0, with set scores of 25-12 and 25-19. Allison Wall had five kills, Lauryn Ruda had three aces, Rilee Schutz had seven digs, and Ellaray Koch had seven assists.


Against Arthur County, the Bulls earned the 2-1 victory with set scores of 25-18 in favor of the Bulls, 25-19 in favor of the Wolves, and set three went to Hi-Line with a score of 25-14. Ruda had 11 kills and three blocks, Koch had seven aces and 22 assists, and Bentley Stubbs had 10 digs.


Hi-Line traveled to Amherst for a triangular on Thursday with the Broncos and Overton.


Against Amherst, the Bulls were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-11 and 25-8. Schutz and Wall each had three kills, Stubbs had eight digs, and Koch had nine assists.


Against Overton, Hi-Line was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-10 and 25-9. Wall had four kills, Schutz and Stubbs each had nine digs, and Koch had 12 assists.


HI-Line is 6-14 and will travel to Wallace on Thursday for a dual.


Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County started their week with a trip to Rawlins County, KS for a triangular with the Buffaloes and Wallace County, KS.


Against Rawlins County, the Falcons dropped set one 25-9, won set two 25-23, and lost set three 25-21 to fall in the match, 2-1. Madysen Carlson had eight kills, Asia Homma had 16 digs, Reese Tines had 11 digs, Jill McArthur had 11 digs, Jayda Wood had 10 digs, and McArthur added 10 assists.


Against Wallace County, KS, the Wildcats took set one 26-24, Hitchcock County took set two 25-23, and Wallace County took set three 25-14 and the match, 2-1. Riley Hagan had nine kills in the match, Homma had 19 digs, Carlson had 17 digs, Hagan added 14 digs, Tines had 13 digs, and Wood had 11 digs and 15 assists.


Hitchcock County hosted Cheylin, KS for a dual on Thursday and got the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-18. Kaiah Johnson had 12 kills and Hagan had 10 kills. Homma had four aces, McArthur had 14 digs and 16 assists, Hagan had 11 digs, and Wood had 14 digs and 14 assists.


Hitchcock County traveled to Sutherland on Saturday where they played Sutherland, Chase County, and Hyannis.


Against Sutherland, Hitchcock County got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-23 and 25-16. Carlson had seven kills, Homma and Hagan each had 18 digs, Tines and Johnson each had 17 digs, and McArthur had 15 digs. Tines added 10 assists.


Hitchcock County took set one over Chase County with a set scores of 25-23 but the Longhorns took sets two and three with set scores of 25-8 and 25-9 to take the match, 2-1 Carlson had six kills, Johnson had 11 digs, and McArthur had five assists.


Against Hyannis, the Falcons got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-21 and 25-22. Carlson had seven kills, Homma had five aces and seven digs, Johnson had seven digs, and McArthur had 10 assists.


Hitchcock County is 6-11 and will play Rawlins County, KS on Monday and travel to Oakley, KS on Saturday for a tournament.


Maxwell

Maxwell traveled to Sutherland for a triangular on Thursday with the Sailors and Cozad.


Against Sutherland, Maxwell earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19 and 25-14. Jenna Miller had 11 kills, Kylee Wyman had 16 digs, Victoria Quick had 11 digs, and Emory Christensen had 23 assists.


Against Cozad, the Wildcats had the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-10. V. Quick had eight kills and nine digs, Rylynn Quick had three aces, and Madelyn Nelson had seven assists.


On Saturday, Maxwell traveled to Brady for a tournament where they played South Platte, Leyton, and Brady.


Against South Platte, Maxwell got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-6 and 25-15. Against Leyton, Maxwell was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-22 and 25-18. Against Brady, the Wildcats were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-21 and 25-22.


Maxwell is 11-8 on the year and will travel to Mullen on Friday for a dual.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hyayes Center hosted a tournament on Tuesday and played South Platte and Hi-Line.


Against South Platte, the Wolves got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-12 and 25-14. Against Hi-Line, MHC got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-12 and 25-19.


On Saturday, MHC traveled to Holdrege for a tournament and faced Holdrege, McCook, and Hastings St. Cecelia.


Against Holdrege, MHC was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-13 and 25-9. Against McCook, MHC took set one 25-19, dropped set two 25-21, and then won set three 25-15 to win the match, 2-1. Hastings St. Cecelia swept the Wolves, 2-0, with set scores of 25-15 and 25-13.


Maywood-Hayes Center is now 14-4 and will travel to Wallace for a triangular on Tuesday with the Wildcats and Brady and then travel to Cambridge on Thursday for a dual.



Medicine Valley

Medicine Valley hosted a pair of duals this week.


On Tuesday, the Raiders hosted Alma and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-16. Remmi Stout had five kills, nine digs, and four blocks and Haylie Gustafson had five assists.


Against Cambridge on Thursday, Medicine Valley was swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, and 25-10. Stout had six kills, Gustafson had three aces and four assists, and Oakley Stout had six digs.


Medicine Valley is now 2-11 on the year and will host a traingular on Tuesday with Perkins County and Sandhills Valley and host a triangular on Thursday with Paxton and Arapahoe.


Paxton

Paxton hosted a tournament on Tuesday and played Wauneta-Palisade and Wallace.


Against Wauneta-Palisade, the Tigers were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17. Jakcee Mitchell had five kills and 10 digs, Emmalee Nicholson had five kills and 11 digs, Reece Glinn had 12 digs, and Madison Hansen had 13 assists.


Against Wallace, Paxton got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16 and 25-11. Mitchell had seven kills, Sarah Brott had four aces and Glinn had three aces, Nicholson had three blocks, Hadleigh Kramer had 11 digs, and Hansen had 16 assists.


Paxton traveled to Wallace on Thursday for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, and 25-23. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read more about it here.


Paxton is now 9-10 on the year and will host a traingular on Tuesday with Arthur County and Sandhills/Thedford and travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday for a triangular with the Raiders and Arapahoe.


Southern Valley

The Eagles traveled to Cambridge on Tuesday for a dual and it took all five sets to determine the winner. Cambridge took sets one and two from the Eagles with set scores of 25-23 and 25-13 but Southern Valley bounced back to take sets three and four with set scores of 25-18 and 25-22 to force the fifth set. In the fifth, it was the Trojans that came out on top with a set score of 15-10. Cambridge won the match, 3-2. Adi Hunt had 26 kills, five blocks, and 21 digs, Tori Bose had 25 kills, five blocks, and 19 digs, Brecklyn Hammond had five blocks, 12 digs, and 37 assists, and Hayley Serfontein had 15 digs.


Southern Valley hosted a triangular on Thursday with Wilcox-Hildreth and Axtell.


Against Axtell, the Eagles earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17. Hunt had 10 kills, Bose had nine digs, and Hammond had nine digs and 19 assists.


Against Wilcox-Hildreth, Southern Valley got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 27-25 and 25-19. Hunt had 13 kills, Bose had 10 kills and 15 digs, and Hammond had 19 assists.


Southern Valley is 13-5 on the year and will host Amherst for a dual on Tuesday.


Southwest

Southwest traveled to Arapahoe on Tuesday for a dual and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-19. Atleigh Nelms had 17 kills, Kyra Nelms had 14 kills and seven blocks, Allison VanPelt had 11 digs, and Aspen Billeter had 33 assists.


On Saturday, Southwest traveled to Sutherland for a tournament where they faced North Platte St. Pat's, Overton, and South Loup.


Against NPSP, Southwest got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-12. K. Nelms had eight kills and four blocks.


Against Overton, the Roughriders dropped set one 25-22, and then Southwest took sets two and three with set scores of 25-20 and 25-10. K. Nelms had 12 digs, VanPelt had 11 digs, and Billeter had 29 assists.


Against South Loup, Southwest got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-6 and 25-8. A. Nelms and K. Nelms each had five kills and Billeter had seven aces and 14 assists in the match.


The Roughriders remain unbeaten at 17-0 and will travel to Decatur Community, KS for a triangular with the Red Devils and St. Francis, KS on Tuesday and host a triangular on Thursday with Alma and Overton.


Sutherland

The Sailors hosted a triangular on Thursday with Cozad and Maxwell.


Against Cozad, Sutherland dropped set one 25-13, and then won sets two and three 25-16 and 25-18 to win the match, 2-1. Reese Erbert and Mahala Vasquez had six kills each, Fallyn Elfeldt had three aces and 16 digs, Erbert added 14 digs, Vasquez added 13 digs, and Gracyn Elfeldt had 13 digs and 16 assists.


Sutherland was swept by Maxwell, 2-0, with set scores of 25-19 and 25-14. Vasquez had nine kills, F. Elfeldt had 15 digs, and G. Elfeldt had 12 assists.


Sutherland hosted a tournament on Saturday and faced North Platte St. Pats, Hitchcock County, and South Loup.

Against NPSP, the Sailors dropped set one 25-19, won set two 25-19, and then dropped set three 25-18 to fall in the match, 2-1. Vasquez had 14 kills and 12 digs, G. Elfeldt had three aces, 15 digs, and 28 assists, Payten Weber had 10 digs, E. Elfeldt had 13 digs, and Erbert had 12 digs.


Against Hitchcock County, the Sailors were swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-23 and 25-16. Vasquez had four kills and 23 digs, F. Elfeldt had 19 digs, Erbert had 12 digs, and G. Elfeldt had 13 digs and seven assists.


Against South Loup, Sutherland got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-18 and 25-8. Vasquez had six kills, G. Elfeldt had seven aces and 14 assists, and F. Elfeldt had 12 digs.


Sutherland is now 8-12 and will host Garden County on Tuesday and travel to NPSP on Thursday.


Wallace

Wallace traveled to Paxton for a tournament on Tuesday where they played Paxton and Potter-Dix.


Against Paxton, Wallace was swept 2-0 with set scores of 25-16 and 25-11. Kaley Sauser, Devin Giesselmann, and Regan Martin each had three kills. Giesselmann added 11 digs and Sauser had seven assists.


Against Potter-Dix, Wallace took set one 25-18 and then fell in sets two and three 25-21 and 25-20 to fall 2-1. Reagan Finley had 12 kills and 15 digs, Sauser had three aces and 20 assists, Mariana Aceves-Lopez had 11 digs, and Giesselmann had 11 digs.


Wallace hosted Paxton on Thursday for a dual and was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, and 25-23. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read more about it here.


Wauneta-Palisade

Wauneta-Palisade traveled to Paxton on Tuesday for a tournament and faced Potter-Dix and Paxton. Against Potter-Dix, the Broncos got the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-6 and 25-21. Against Paxton, Wauneta-Palisade swept the Tigers 2-0 with set scores of 25-14 and 25-17.


On Saturday, the Broncos traveled to Bertrand for a tournament and faced Sandhills/Thedford, Loomis, and Bertrand. Against Sandhills/Thedford, Wauneta-Palisade got the 2-0 sweep. Against Loomis, Wauneta-Palisade took set one 25-12 and then dropped sets two and three 25-23 and 26-24 to fall in the match, 2-1. Against Bertrand, the Broncos took set one 25-19, and then dropped sets two and three 25-14 and 25-20.


Wauneta-Palisade is now 10-7 on the year and will travel to Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday for a triangular with Northern Valley, KS, and the Tigers and will host SEM on Friday.
