Girls

The Cardinals were in action on Saturday at the Wood River Invite and placed 11th as a team with 59 points. This was a tough invite that the Cardinals competed in.


Boys

Cambridge


Cambridge attended the Twin Loup Invite on Friday


At 157 pounds, Kaden Klumpe placed 4th to Cazen Smith of Twin Loup by major decision, 11-0. At 165 pounds, Colton Perks defeated Danny Taylor of Hyannis by fall in 2:15. Perks has a record of 12-1. Myles Stanton competed at 190 pounds and placed 1st over Blake Bottorf of Twin Loup by fall in 0:45. At 215 pounds, Trev Burke placed 2nd to Kason Larson of Burwell by a 7-4 decision.


Dundy County Stratton


Dundy County Stratton attended the North Platte St. Pat's Invite on Friday and placed 7th as a team with 69.5 points.


At 138 pounds, DJ Stamm placed 2nd to Gage Epp of Hoxie JV by fall in 2:34. Aiden Kane had a solid day at 175 pounds as he defeated Denilson Hernandez of Lexington JV by fall in 2:38 and Simon Scharf of Hi-Line by fall in 5:32 to place 1st.

Hi-Line


Hi-Line attended the North Platte St. Pat's Invite on Friday and placed 2nd as a team with 168.5 points.


At 126 pounds, Connor Edwards placed 2nd to Logan Robirds of North Platte St. Pat's by an 8-3 decision. Edwards has an 8-1 record on the year. At 132 pounds, Will Oaklund and Chase Beitler met in the championship match. Oaklund placed 1st with a 6-1 record, while Beitler placed 2nd with a 7-1 record. At 157 pounds, Gage Rupp placed 1st, defeating Tucker Kemp of North Platte St. Pat's by fall in 1:01. Rupp is 8-1 on the year and wrestling at a high level. Simon Scharf placed 2nd to Aiden Kane of Dundy County Stratton at 175 pounds by fall in 5:32. At 285 pounds, Tucker Viter placed 1st over Weston Hammond of North Platte St. Pat's by fall in 0:35 and improved his record to 5-0.


Hitchcock County

Maxwell


Girls

The Wildcats competed in the Sandhills Valley Invite on Saturday and placed 15th with 31 points.


At 110 pounds, Bailey Borg placed 4th to Leah Pistulka of West Holt by a 7-3 decision.


Boys

Maxwell attended the North Platte St. Pat's Invite on Friday and had a nice invite, placing 4th as a team with 102.5 points.


Hunter Schaeffer had a solid outing, placing 1st at 113 pounds by pinning both Esvin Perez of Lexington JV and Troubadour Moler of Hi-Line. At 157 pounds, Griffin Flock placed 3rd, falling to Gage Rupp of Hi-Line and Tucker Kemp of North Platte St. Pat's. At 165 pounds, Brodee Brestel placed 3rd over Alexis Tales of Lexington JV by a 6-1 decision. Trevor Manka placed 1st at 190 pounds over Jess Fanning of Dundy County Stratton. Manka improves to 12-1. At 215 pounds, Colt Gosnell had a solid day pinning his way to 1st place and improved his record to 10-2. He had five pins on the day, all under 90 seconds.


Medicine Valley

Paxton


Girls

Paxton attended the Sandhills Valley Invite on Saturday and placed 18th with 22 points.

At 190 pounds, Skylar Johnson placed 3rd over Kaimbertlynn Clouse of West Holt by fall in 1:00. Johnson has had a nice start to the 2025-2026 campaign and improves her record to 9-3.


Boys

Paxton attended the North Platte St. Pat's Invite on Friday and placed 8th as a team with 25.0 points.


At 165 pounds, Colton Fote, who continues to wrestle at a high level, placed 2nd to Breckyn Collins of North Platte St. Pat's by a 5-3 decision. Fote had a solid day as he tech-falled or pinned his first five rounds. On Saturday, the Tigers traveled to Anselmo-Merna for an invite. They placed 13th as a team with 26 points. Fote kept it rolling, placing 1st at 165 pounds over Jordan Dodds of Riverside by fall in 3:09. Fote improved his record to 11-3 and has built some nice momentum so far this season.

Southern Valley


Girls

The Southern Valley/Alma girls attended the Wood River Invite on Saturday and placed 7th as a team with 81 points.


Laney Becker did well, placing 3rd at 110 pounds, defeating Perla Bonilla Franco of Grand Island JV by fall in 2:20. Becker improved her record to 9-1 and has started strong this season. At 120 pounds, Hayley Serfontein placed 1st, defeating Johanna Sebastian of Schuyler by fall in 1:56. Serfontein has had a solid season as she remains unbeaten with a 10-0 record. Sophia Cunningham wrestled well, placing 3rd at 125 pounds, defeating Daniella Lamberson of Grand Island JV by an 11-5 decision.



Boys

Southwest


Girls

At the Lady Eagle Invite in Colby, KS, on December 11th, the Roughriders placed 3rd as a team with 126 points. This Roughrider team has been excellent in the early stages of the season.


At 105 pounds, Capri Sayer had a solid day pinning her way to the championship match. She placed 2nd falling late in the championship match in 3:59 to Jentri Porter of Leoti-Wichita County. Sayer suffered her first loss on the season as she has an 11-1 record. At 120 pounds, Alyssa Koch performed well as she pinned her way to the championship match as well. Koch fell in the championship match in 1:18 to Josie Bell of Hoxie. Tori Hutchinson placed 3rd at 125 pounds and had losses to Grace Cullor of Prairie View and Camrun Taylor of Osborne on the day. Her record is now 6-3.


At 130 pounds, Ashlynn Wolf placed 3rd in the round robin format and had losses to Mayte Villegas of Norton and Maggie Holle of Rawlins County. At 190 pounds, Madalynn Benson had a solid outing, placing 4th, falling to Kacee Herredsberg of Smith Center by fall in 1:46.

Madelyn Tryon placed 1st at 235 pounds, defeating Geseliya Sanchez of Yuma by fall in 1:58.


On Saturday, the Roughriders traveled to West Point for the Battle at the Point Tournament. As a team, they placed 13th with 50 points. At 235 pounds, Tryon placed 3rd over JaeLeigh Miller of Lyons-Decatur Northeast by fall in 2:35.


Boys

The Roughriders traveled to Osceola for an invite on Saturday and placed 16th as a team with 29 points.


At 165 pounds, Caleb Heskett placed 5th over Eli Svoboda of Shelby Rising City by fall in 1:37. Logan Turley nabbed a medal, placing 3rd at 215 pounds over Cal Seip of Nebraska Christian by fall in 3:05. Turley had a solid day, defeating all opponents by fall or tech fall, and improved his record to 8-2.


Sutherland


Girls

Sutherland was at the Sandhills Valley Invite on Saturday and placed 14th as a team with 35 points.


Addison Arvdal continues to dominate this season, remaining unbeaten at 10-0. She had six matches on Saturday and pinned all of her opponents, including Ida Bumgarner of Broken Bow in 1:50 during the 1st-place match.


Boys
