The RPAC Volleyball Semi-Finals Are Set for Monday: Thursday Night Recap

The first round and quarterfinal matches were all held on Thursday at four host sites: Dundy County Stratton and Maywood-Hayes Center for the West, and Southwest and Cambridge for the East. You can see an updated bracket at the end of the blog. Let's jump into the results.
West
Dundy County Stratton Host Site Matches
In this best-of-five match, Dundy County Stratton earned the 3-0 sweep over Sutherland with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-7. The Tigers advanced to the quarterfinals, and Sutherland fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-five match, Maxwell swept Wauneta-Palisade 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-22. The Wildcats advanced to the quarterfinals, and the Broncos fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-three match, the Broncos came away with the 2-0 sweep over Sutherland with set scores of 25-21 and 25-14. Wauneta-Palisade advances in the consolation bracket and will face #3 Paxton on Monday at 4:00 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton.
In this best-of-five match, Maxwell jumped out and took the first set over DCS with a set score of 25-23. The Tigers responded and won the next three sets with scores of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-17, securing the match, 3-1. Maxwell moves to the consolation matches and will face #6 Hitchcock County at 5:30 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton on Monday. The Tigers will face #2 Maywood-Hayes Center at home on Monday at 7:00 P.M. CT.
Maywood-Hayes Center (Hayes Center) Host Site Matches
In this best-of-five match, the Falcons swept Paxton, 3-0, with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-13. Hitchcock County advanced to the quarterfinals, and the Tigers fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-five match, Maywood-Hayes Center swept Wallace, 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-6, and 25-19. The Wolves advanced to the quarterfinals, and the Wildcats fell to the consolation match.

In this best-of-three match, the Tigers swept the Wildcats, 2-0, with set scores of 25-16 and 25-17. Paxton advances in the consolation bracket and will face #4 Wauneta-Palisade on Monday at 4:00 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton.
In this best-of-five match, the Wolves secured the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17. Hitchcock County moves to the consolation match and will face #5 Maxwell on Monday at Dundy County Stratton at 5:30 P.M. CT. Maywood-Hayes Center advances to the west semi-finals to face #1 Dundy County Stratton at Dundy County Stratton at 7:00 P.M. CT.
East
Southwest Host Site Matches
In this best-of-five match, Southwest earned the 3-0 sweep over Medicine Valley with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, and 25-7. The Roughriders advanced to the quarterfinals, and Medicine Valley fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-five match, Hi-Line took set one 25-19. Alma then took the next three sets with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-18 to win the match, 3-1. The Cardinals advanced to the quarterfinals, and the Bulls fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-three match, Hi-Line earned the 2-0 sweep over Medicine Valley with set scores of 25-17 and 25-16. The Bulls advanced in the consolation bracket and will face #6 Southern Valley on Monday in Southwest at 4:00 P.M. CT.
In this best-of-five match, Southwest took the first two sets over Alma with set scores of 25-20 and 25-22. The Cardinals took the third set with a set score of 25-22, and Southwest took the fourth set 25-22 to win the match, 3-1. The Roughriders advanced to the East semi-final and will face #2 Cambridge on Monday at 7:00 P.M. CT. Alma fell to the consolation match and will face #3 Arapahoe on Monday at 5:30 P.M. CT at Southwest.
Cambridge Host Site Matches
In this best-of-five match, Arapahoe earned the 3-0 sweep over Southern Valley with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 26-24. The Warriors advanced to the quarterfinals, and Southern Valley fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-five match, Cambridge earned the 3-0 sweep over Bertrand with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-20. The Trojans advanced to the quarterfinals, and Bertrand fell to the consolation match.
In this best-of-two match, Southern Valley earned the 2-0 sweep over Bertrand with set scores of 25-13 and 25-11. The Eagles advanced in the consolation bracket and will face #5 Hi-Line on Monday at 4:00 P.M. CT at Southwest.
In this best-of-five match, Cambridge took the first two sets over Arapahoe with set scores of 25-16 and 25-8. Arapahoe took the third set 25-22, and Cambridge took the fourth set 25-15 to win the match, 3-1. The Trojans advanced to the East semifinals on Monday against #1 Southwest at 7:00 P.M. at Southwest. CT. Arapahoe falls to the consolation bracket and will face #4 Alma on Monday at 5:30 P.M. CT at Scouthwest.
