2024 Spring Athletes of the Week

May 20th-May 26th Athletes of the Week

Boys

Jack Baker - Hitchcock County

At the NSAA State Golf Meet in North Platte on Tuesday and Wednesday, Baker tied for State Runner-up with his two-day scores of  77 and 74. The Falcons as a team also finished as State Runner-up. 


May 13th-May 19th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Adi Hunt - Southern Valley

At the NSAA State Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, Hunt set the new state and state meet record in her prelim race of the 100m dash with a time of 12.30. She went on to place 2nd in the finals of the 100m dash with a time of 12.41, 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 25.27, 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 57.37, and 1st in the long jump with a jump of 17'11.5". 


BOYS

Carson Trompke - Cambridge

At the NSAA State Track meet on Friday and Saturday, Trompke placed 1st in the 1600m run with a time of 4:29.77, 1st in the 3200m run with a time of 9:57.21, and was a member of the 8th place 4x800m relay team with a time of 8:47.46. 


May 6th-May 12th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

JoLie Farr - Cambridge

At the D-7 District, Farr placed 1st in the 100m dash with a time of 12.35 which is a new Class D State Record pending NSAA certification, 3rd in the 200m dash with a time of 26.47, member of the 1st place 4x100m relay team with a time of 51.43, and a member of the 5th place 4x400m relay team with a time of 4:25.97. Farr qualified for state in all four events.


BOYS

Jackson Kerchal - Dundy County Stratton

At the D-7 District, Kerchal placed 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 23.00, 1st in high jump with a jump of 6'3", 2nd in long jump with a jump of 21'1", and was a member of the 1st place 4x100m relay team with a time of 45.14. Kerchal qualified for state in all four events.


April 29th - May 5th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Tierston Moore - Alma

At Best of the Midwest, Moore placed 1st in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.52 and 1st in the 300m hurdles with a new school record time of 46.85. At the Dale Harsin Invite, Moore placed 1st in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.13, 1st in the 300m hurdles with a time of 48.02, 3rd in the 100m dash with a time of 13.28, and was a member of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team with a time of 4:21.06.


BOYS

Maxwell St. Pat's Baseball Team

They earned their first post-season win against Tekamah-Herman in the C-1 District with a final score of 15-9. As a team, they also posted a team total of 16 hits.


April 22nd - April 28th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Adi Hunt - Southern Valley

At the RPAC Track meet, Hunt placed 2nd in the 100m dash with a time of 12.68, 2nd in long jump with a jump of 16'7", 1st in the 200m dash with a new meet record time of 25.59, and 1st in the 400m dash with a new meet record time of 58.88. 


BOYS

Jack Baker - Hitchcock County

Hitchcock County’s Baker shot an impressive 77 at Cross Creek Golf Links during the RPAC Golf meet last Thursday, April 25th. 


April 15th - April 21st Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Cheyenne Parrish - Wauneta-Palisade

At the Hitchcock County invite, Parrish placed 2nd in the 200m dash with a time of 28.51, 1st in the 400m dash with a time of 64.42, 1st in the triple jump with a jump of 32'0", and was a member of the 2nd place 4x100m relay team with a time of 47.34.


BOYS

Austin Thompson - Southwest

At the Hitchcock County Invite, Thompson placed 1st in the 1600m run with a time of 5:02.58, 1st in the 3200m run with a time of 11:41.16, and was a member of the 1st place 4x800m relay team with a time of 9:22.13.


April 8th - April 14th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Adi Hunt - Southern Valley

At the Don Stine invite, Hunt placed 2nd in the 100m with a time of 12.66, placed 1st in the 200m with a time of 26.38, placed 1st in th 400m with a new school record time of 60.39, and placed 1st in the long jump of 17'4". At the Jerry Stine invite, Hunt placed 1st in the 100m with a time of 13.13, 1st in the 200m with a time of 26.50, and 1st in the long jump with a jump of 16'3.5".


BOYS

Jack Baker - Hitchcock County

At the Arapahoe Golf Invite, Baker had a huge day on the course, He shot a 74 to win the invite. That score is a new school record for Hitchcock County, At the Medicine Valley Invite, Baker shot an 86 to place him 5th.


April 1st - April 7th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Clara Spargo - Dundy County Stratton

At the DCS Invite,  Spargo placed 2nd in the 100m dash with a time of 12.62, 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 26.02, was a member of the 1st place 4x100m relay with a time of 52.83, and was a member of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team with a time of 4:34.22. 


BOYS

Brody Senff - Medicine Valley

At the South Loup Invite, Senff placed 1st in the 100m dash with a time of 11.96, 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 24.66, was a member of the 3rd place 4x100m relay team with a time of 47.89, and was a member of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:50.70. 


March 25th-March 31st Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Madysen Carlson - Hitchcock County

 At the Sutherland Booster Club invite last week, Carlson placed 3rd in the 100m dash with a time of 14.21, was a member of the 1st place  4x100 relay team with a time of 54.05, placed 1st in the long jump with a jump of 16’7”, and she placed 1st in the triple jump with a jump of 34’9”. 


BOYS

Jaxon Unrein - Hitchcock County

At the Sutherland Booster Club invite last week, Unrein placed 2nd in the 110m hurdles with a time of 18.22, he placed 1st in the 300m hurdles with a time of 44.05, was a member of the 3rd place 4x400m relay team with a a time of 4:00.49, and placed 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 5'6".


March 18th-March 24th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Tierston Moore - Alma

Moore placed 4th in the 100m dash with a time of 13.26, 1st in 100m hurdles with a time of 16.62, 1st in the 300m hurdles with a time of 50.97, and was a member of the 4x400m relay that took 1st with a time of 4:41.13 at the Southern Valley invite last Friday.


BOYS

Kael Garrett - Medicine Valley

Garrett placed 1st in the 1600m run with a time of 4:55.56 and 1st in the 3200m run with a time of 10:50.85 at the Southern Valley invite last Friday.


March 11th-March 17th Athletes of the Week

GIRLS

Kendyl Flaming - Wallace

At the UNK Indoor, Flaming placed 2nd in the 60m dash with a time of 8.24, 1st in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.65, 5th in the high jump with a jump of 4’6”, and was a member of the 3rd place 4x400 meter relay team with a time of 4:30.91.


BOYS

Will Cacy - Arapahoe

At the UNK Indoor, Cacy took 1st in the 60m dash with a time of 7.14, 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 24.34, 1st in the 400m dash with a time of 52.09, and was a member of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:51.88.
