RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 2/15

We are winding down folks. We have one more week of the regular season ahead for boys basketball. Everyone in the RPAC was in action this week, let's check out the results.
Alma
The Cardinals had a full week of hoops, and they played three opponents, won them all, and now their win streak is at 17 games. First, they beat Phillipsburg, KS, 74-46. Alma had three players score at least 21 points: Tucker Biskup and Isiah Neal each had 21 points and Zavier Neal had 24. Each of them shot at least 73% from the field. As a team, the Cardinals were on fire, shooting 65% from the floor.
Alma then faced Cambridge on Friday and won a close one, 52-44. Mitchell had 22 points for the Cardinals and Biskup totaled 15 points.
Finally, on Saturday, Alma played in the Heartland Hoops Classic in Grand Island on Saturday. They played a solid Adams Central team and won another close game, 43-39.
Alma is now 22-1 and will face Arapahoe in their regular season finale at home on Friday.

Arapahoe
The Warriors played a couple of games and lost both. First, they played Cambridge on Tuesday and lost 61-28. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.
Then Arapahoe played Bertrand and lost, 73-29. Hayden Sich scored 14 points to lead Arapahoe.
The Warriors are 0-21 and will play Alma on Friday for their regular-season finale.
Bertrand
The Vikings had a pair of games this past week and went 2-0. First, they beat Arapahoe on Friday, 73-29. The next day, on Saturday, they played Kenesaw and won 67-54.
The Vikings have improved their record to 19-4 and will travel to Cambridge on Friday for the regular-season finale.
Cambridge
The Cambridge Trojans played two games last week and split the matchups. First, they beat Arapahoe 61-28 on Tuesday. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.
Cambridge then hosted Alma on Friday and lost a close game, 52-44.
The Trojans are 13-8 and will play Bertrand at home on Friday.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers played two games this last week and went 1-1. They began with a home loss to a tough North Platte St. Pat's team on Tuesday, 60-57. The Tigers had three players in double figures as August Shaw scored 19, Ethan Latta had 13, and Breck Horner scored 10. Latta totaled 12 rebounds, too.
The Tigers played Southern Valley on Friday and bounced back with a victory, 76-48. DCS is now 17-5 and will play at Medicine Valley on Friday to close out the regular season.

Hi-Line
Hi-Line had two games scheduled this week, but just one was played. First, they forfeit against Gothenburg. Per the Hi-Line Facebook page, it said due to low numbers.
Hi-Line then faced South Loup and lost, 63-54. Hi-Line is now 8-13 and will play at Elm Creek on Friday.
Hitchcock County
The Falcons had two games last week and went 1-1. First, they fell to Chase County, 70-55. Adam Kisker had 25 points, and Jayce Hauxwell had 18 points. Hauxwell had 11 rebounds, too.

The Falcons are 13-10 and will play Bridgeport on Friday.
Maxwell
The Wildcats played two games this past week and went 1-1. First, they plated at Sutherland and won, 48-34. The game was close after one quarter, 8-7 in favor of the Wildcats. But after that, they took control of the game. Owen Pagel had 14 points for Maxwell and Jesse Reyes had 14. Brison Brewer totaled five assists.
Maxwell then faced Medicine Valley and lost 68-59. The Raiders had an excellent game, shooting the ball at 56%. For Maxwell, Reyes had 23 points, and Pagel had 18. The Wildcats are now 7-16 and will prepare for subdistrict play.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves played in two games and split the matchups. First, they played Wauneta-Palisade and won 73-39. The Wolves had 58 rebounds, 32 of them offensive. Keenan Richards had 21 points and 16 rebounds, Charlie Callis had 21 points, and Isaak Messiger had 13 points and 14 rebounds.
The Wolves then faced Chase County and lost 60-52. MHC is now 15-7 and will face Perkins County on the road Friday.
Medicine Valley
The Raiders played in two games and went 2-0 last week. They began with a 68-59 win over Maxwell. The Raiders had an excellent game, shooting, 56% from the field. The Raiders had three players n double figures as Ethan Brown scored 22 points, Lucas Einspahr had 15 and so did Mason Roblee. They all shot at least 57% from the field too.
Roblee had 10 rebounds as well.
Medicine Valley closed out the week with a 51-27 win against Brady on Friday. Medicine Valley is now 13-8 and will play Dundy County Stratton on Friday at home.

Paxton
The Tigers played two games and went 1-1. On Tuesday, Paxton played Hershey and lost 47-41. Maddex McConnell led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points. He also had 11 rebounds. Tristen Hebblethwaite had five points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists.
The Tigers bounced back and got a big win over Sutherland, 67-30. McConnell had 15 points, Keegan Florom had 12 points, and Griffin Perlinger had 12. Hebblethwaite had eight assists.
Paxton is 13-8 and will face St. Pat's on Friday on the road to finish the regular season.
Southern Valley
The Eagles had one game, and it was against the Dundy County Stratton Tigers on Friday. Southern Valley fell in the matchup, 76-48. Isaac Hamilton led the Eagles in scoring with 23 points. Jacob Rice and Hunter Lans each had eight points.
Southern Valley is 4-17 and will play Axtell at home on Friday.
Southwest
Southwest played in a couple of games and went 1-1. In the week, Houston Billeter went over 1,500 career points, a milestone that is not heard of very often. Congrats to Houston.
First, the Roughriders lost a close one to Wallace, 61-55. Billeter scored 35 points and had 10 rebounds. Deric Kelley had nine points.
Then, Southwest played Axtell. andwon 70-25. Billeter scored 33 points and had 14 rebounds. Brody Hammond had 12 points.
Southwest is now 8-13 and will face Sandhills Valley on Monday in their regular-season finale.

Sutherland
The Sailors played Maxwell and Paxton this last week and dropped both games. In the game against Maxwell, they lost 48-34. Easton Smith scored nine, Zayn Green had eight, and Mason Mortimer had eight.
Sutherland played Paxton on Thursday and lost, 67-30. The Sailors will face South Platte on Friday in their regular-season finale.

Wallace
Wallace played three opponents this last week and went 1-2. First, they played Southwest and won a close game, 61-55. Colt Franklin and Max Hanson each had 14 points. Brad Hanson totaled 15 points to lead the Wildcats. Franklin had 10 rebounds. As a team, Wallace had 15 assists.

Then, Wallace played Grand Island Lutheran and lost a close one, 51-49. This was part of the Heartland Hoops Classic.
Wallace is now 16-7 and will play at Creek Valley on Friday.

Wauneta-Palisade
The Broncos had one game last week and it was against Maywood-Hayes Center. Wauneta-Palisade lost the game 73-39. Nathan Hiett had 13 points, Aaden Wheeler had nine, and Wyatt Hilbert scored eight.
The Broncos are 1-19 and will play Arthur County on Friday to close out the regular season.
