RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 3/1

Well, friends, we made it to the end of the boys' basketball season. This season, no RPAC squads made it to State; however, it was an exciting year once again.
So with all of that said, this is the final blog of the year. Let's dive into this week's blog.
Alma
Alma competed in subdistrict play this week and also hosted a district final. Alma hosted the C2-7 Subdistrict. They faced #4 seed H&H first and won 65-40. Zavier Mitchell led the scoring with 25 points, and Tucker Biskup had 23 points. Biskup had eight rebounds and six assists, and Mitchell had nine rebounds. Then they took on #3 seed Sutton and won big, 52-28. Mitchell had 16, and Biskup scored 14. Isaiah Neal and Grady Faimon each had nine points. Mitchell had 13 rebounds.
Finally, they played in the C2-4 District Final and lost a close one, 50-46. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can read the full story here.
Alma closes the season at 25-2.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe competed in the D1-11 Subdistrict hosted by Bertrand. The Warriors were the #5 seed and faced #4 seed Southern Valley. Arapahoe lost the game 59-35. Aiden Roush scored 15 points to lead Arapahoe, and Hayden Sich scored 11. Sich had a big game rebounding with 17 boards.
Arapahoe ends the year at 0-23.

Bertrand
The Vikings battled in the D1-11 Subdistrict Tournament and then played in a district final. First, the #1 seeded Vikings played #4 seeded Southern Valley and won 76-47. Thunder Nelson had 35 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists. Scottie Bieker had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Hunter Nelson added 11 points.
Then they faced #2 seed Cambridge and won a close one, 65-63. Thunder Nelson had 23 points, Bieker had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Marshall Steinbrink had 10 points.
The Vikings then faced Mead at home in the D1-8 District Final. Bertrad was the #8 seed and Mead the #9 seed. The Vikings lost the game, 47-37. Bieker had 13 points, and Thunder Nelson scored 10.
Bertrand ends the season at 21-6.
Cambridge
The Trojans were the #2 seed in the D1-11 Subdistrict Tournament. First, they beat Southwest 67-52. Four Trojans were in double-figures as Brady Ahlemeyer had 22 points, Hodge Raburn had 15, Maverick Webb scored 13, and Braydon Miller had 12. Raburn totaled 11 rebounds, too.
Cambridge then faced Bertrand in the D1-11 Subdistrict Final and lost a very close game, 65-63. Ahlemeyer had 30 points, Raburn scored 18, and Braxton Mitchell scored 10.
Cambridge ended the season at 15-9.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers competed in the C2-10 Subdistrict Tournament as the #4 seed. They fell to #5 seed Perkins County 48-46. Ethan Latta had 22 points, and August Shaw scored 11. Breck Horner had 12 rebounds.
DCS ends the year at 18-6.
Hi-Line
Hi-Line competed in the C2-9 Subdistrict as the #5 seed. The Bulls fell in the first round to #4 seed Superior, 52-51. Hi-Line closes out the year at 8-15.

Hitchcock County
The Falcons played in the D1-12 Subdistrict Tournament as the #3 seed. They faced #2 seed Maywood-Hayes Center. This was the fourth time these two teams had faced each other this season. Prior to this matchup, the Wolves had won two of the three.
MHC won again, this time 62-45. For the Falcons, Adam Kisker had 19 points and Jayce Hauxwell had 17 points and nine rebounds. Hitchcock County ends the season at 13-12.
Maxwell
The Wildcats competed in the D1-12 Subdistrict last week as well. First, the #4 seeded Wildcats played the #5 seeded Morrill. Maxwell won big, 66-8. For Maxwell, Tayton Phillips had 13 points, Brison Brewer had 11 points, and Jagger Kleewein had 14 points.
Maxwell then faced #1 seed North Platte St. Pat's. The Wildcats dropped the game, 71-41. Jesse Reyes led the Wildcats with 12 points. St. Pat's shot 52% from the field.
Maxwell ends the year at 8-17.
Maywood-Hayes Center
MHC competed in the D1-12 Subdistrict Tournament last week, and won it. Then they played in a District Final. But first, let's discuss the subdistrict results. First, the #2 seeded Wolves beat #3 seed Hitchcock County 62-45. This was the fourth time these two teams had faced each other this season. Prior to this matchup, the Wolves had won two of the three.
MHC had four players in double-figures as Oliver Anders had 11 points, Charlie Callis had 18, Kade Broz had 15, and Keenan Richards scored 13. Anders had 11 rebounds, too.
Then, they took on #1 seed North Platte St. Pat's and then won, 58-53.
For MHC, Keenan Richards scored 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Isaak Messinger had an excellent game, going 5-8 from the field and recording 12 points.
MHC then faced East Butler in the D1-3 District Final. The Wolves were the #14 seed and faced #3 seed East Butler in Brainard. It was a low-scoring battle, with East Butler winning 36-27.
MHC ends the season at 17-9.

Medicine Valley
The Raiders of Medicine Valley played in the D2-8 Subdistrict Tournament last week. The Raiders were the #2 seed and began play with a game against #3 seed Sandhills/Thedford. Medicine Valley won 51-36. Ethan Brown had a nice game with 19 points on 50% shooting. Payton Newcomb scored 14.
Medicine Valley then faced #1 seed SEM and lost 56-42. Mason Roblee led the team with 13 points, and Brown had 10. Lucas Einspahr had 10 rebounds.
The Raiders close out the season with a 14-10 record.

Paxton
The Tigers of Paxton competed in the D2-9 Subdistrict Tournament last week. Paxton was the #2 seed and began with a matchup against #3 seed Arthur County. Three Tigers were in double figures as Tristen Hebblethwaite had 10 points, Maddex McConnell had 14, and Keegan Florom had 10 points.
Paxton then faced #1 seed Wallace. This was the second time these squads played, Wallace winning the previous one on January 16th, 43-35. This time, Wallace won again, 38-36. Hebblethwaite had 11 points, and McConnell had 12.
Paxton ended the season with a record of 14-10.
Southern Valley
The Eagles competed in the D1-11 Subdistrict as the #4 seed. They played #5 seed in the opening round and won 59-35. The Eagles jumped out to an 18-5 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Isaac Hamilton had 18 points, Hunter Lans scored 13, and Houston Hunt had 10.
Southern Valley then faced Bertrand and lost, 76-47. This game was close heading to the final quarter, 52-40, but Bertrand outscored the Eagles 24-7 in the fourth. Hamilton had 23 points, and Hunt had 10. Southern Valley finishes the 2025-2026 season at 6-18.

Southwest
Southwest played in the D1-11 Subdistrict Tournament as the #3 seed. They faced the #2 seed Cambridge, the games were played in Bertrand. Southwest dropped the game 67-52. to end the season. Houston Billeter was excellent as he has been all season. 36 points on 14-22 shooting and eight rebounds.
The Roughriders close out the season at 9-14.
Sutherland
Sutherland played in the D2-9 Subdistrict as the #4 seed. First, they faced #5 Wauneta-Palisade and won 46-40. Jackson Saner had 24 points, and Zayn Green totaled 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Sutherland then faced #1 seed Wallace and lost 65-31. Saner had eight points, and Green had seven.
Sutherland ends the year at 7-16.
Wallace
Wallace competed in the D2-9 Subdistrict as the #1 seed last week. First, they played #4 seeded Sutherland and won, 65-31. Colt Franklin had 20 points, and Max Hanson had 12 points. The Wildcats shot 54% from the field in the victory.
Wallace then played #2 seed in the subdistrict, Paxton, for a chance to play in a district final. Wallace won a close battle, 38-36. Franklin had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Max Hanson totaled 15 points and seven rebounds.
With the win, Wallace competed in the D2-6 District Final hosted by GACC. Wallace fell in the game, 51-28. Franklin had another double-double, with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Wallace ends the season with a record of 19-8.
Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade played in the D2-9 Subdistrict as the #5 seed. They faced #4 seeded Sutherland and lost 46-40. Wauneta-Palisade closes the season at 1-21.
