All of the RPAC teams were in action this week for Week 1 of the football season. Let's check out the MNB Realty Football Scoreboard and then get into the blog.
Alma vs Arcadia/Loup City
Alma faced Arcadia on Friday to begin the season. It was a low-scoring battle, and Alma begins the season 1-0 with an 8-6 victory. A score that surprised many, as Alma has an offense that has put up a lot of points in the past.
Alma is 1-0, and will host Hitchcock County on Friday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Stats have not been provided for this game at the time of writing the article.

Clarkson vs Arapahoe
On Saturday, August 29, the first-ever Nebraska 8-man Football Kickoff Classic took place in Grand Island at Grand Island Senior High School. From the RPAC, Arapahoe and Dundy County Stratton were represented. Click here to read the full article.
RPAC Rundown provided coverage. Arapahoe fell, 26-10. They are 0-1 and will play at Shelton on Friday.
Hitchcock County vs Bertrand
Hitchcock County hosted Bertrand on Friday and won big, 58-14. For Bertrand, Noah Nelson had 66 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Falcons have begun the season strong, and we will see if they can keep it going. They will play at Alma on Friday, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. Bertrand will look to bounce back at home when they host Hi-Line on Friday. Also, it is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.
Stats have not been provided for this game at the time of writing the article for Hitchcock County.
Cambridge vs Maxwell
Cambridge and Maxwell played on Thursday. The Trojans came away with the win with a 39-15 win. Cambridge was led by Braxton Mitchell with 154 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He also added 62 yards passing and a score. Roy Hoelscher had 63 yards rushing, 35 yards receiving, and two scores. Hoelscher had 24 tackles, five solo and 19 assisted.
Stats have not been provided for this game at the time of writing the article for Maxwell. Cambridge is 1-0 and will play at Sutherland on Friday. Maxwell falls to 0-2 and will play at home versus Hyannis on September 11th. This week they have a bye.

Wilcox-Hildreth vs Hi-Line
The Bulls battled Wilcox-Hildreth on Thursday and lost 48-12. The Falcons took no time getting ahead, leading 10-0 after the first quarter. Hi-Line scored 12 in the second period, but Wilcox-Hildreth put up 20 to lead 30-12. Wilcox-Hildreth closed out the game with 18 points in the second half.
Maywood-Hayes Center vs Sutherland
Maywood-Hayes Center and Sutherland played on Friday which was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup. MHC won 22-16. You can read the full article here.
MHC is 1-0 and will play at home versus Southern Valley on Friday.
Sutherland falls to 0-2 and will host Cambridge on Friday.

Medicine Valley vs Ansley-Litchfield
The Raiders started the season with a strong win, 68-26, against Ansley-Litchfield. Mason Roblee had 151 total yards and ad six total touchdowns. Javan Houghtelling had 104 yards and a score. Alex Einspahr had 56 yards receiving for two touchdowns. Payton Newcomb added 81 yards rushing and a score.
Medicine Valley is 1-0 and will play Silver Lake this week.
Paxton vs Sioux County
The Tigers of Paxton started 1-0, and it didn't even take the full game to get the victory. Paxton played half of the game, and storms came through, and the rest of the game was canceled. Paxton had built a 49-6 lead. For Paxton, Kegan Florom was 3-7 passing with 65 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Markussen had 83 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Chase Holm led the receiving attack with 43 yards and a touchdown. Jesse Connick added 23 yards and a score. Colton Fote starred on defense with 11 tackles and two interceptions, and Markussen added 10.
Paxton is 1-0 and will face Minatare at home on Thursday.

Southern Valley vs Kenesaw
September 7th, 2023. That was the last time Southern Valley won a football game. They had lost 20 straight games, but on Friday that streak ended. The Eagles beat Kenesaw by a final score of 62-14. Houston Hunt was 11-for-14 passing with 150 yards and four touchdowns.
As a team, they rushed for 303 yards, including 126 from Hunter Lans and 96 yards from Sully Bantam. Hunt, Bantam, and Bryton Stalder all had rushing touchdowns. Avery Thiessen had 67 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Hayden Lans had a receiving touchdown too.
Southern Valley is 1-0 and will play Maywood-Hayes Center on Friday, on the road.
Southwest vs Silver Lake
Southwest, a top team in D6, began the season with a big win, beating Silver Lake on the road, 54-12. Southwest had 434 yards rushing as a team. Deric Kelley had 184 yards and six touchdowns, and Jacob Barber added seven carries for 103 yards and a touchdown. Myles Nelms had 61 yards. Kelley had seven tackles, three of which were for loss.
Southwest will now face Red Cloud, one of the top teams in D6, on Friday, on the road.

Wallace vs South Platte
Wallace, also a top team in D6, played against South Platte to start the 2026 season. They won 53-19. This included a strong 27-6 second-half outburst. Tyson Sullivan was dominant on the ground: 305 yards and two touchdowns. Micah Garrison added 38 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Colt Franklin had 74 yards passing, 48 yards rushing, and five touchdowns. Colby Holm led the team with 15 tackles.
Wallace is 1-0 and will play at Hay Springs on Thursday.
Wauneta-Palisade vs Sandhills Valley
The Broncos of Wauneta-Palisade played at home against Sandhills Valley on Friday and won big, 58-26. Kreyton Wiese had 187 yards rushing and four touchdowns. As a team, they rushed for 366 yards. Bennet Wiese had 12 tackles. Barrett Frecks had an interception as well.
The Broncos will be tested this week on Friday when they go to Brady and look to improve their 2-0 record.
