RPAC Volleyball Results as of 11/3

Wow. Just like that, the volleyball season has basically come to a close. Two teams will be competing in the State Tournament and four squads made it to a district final match. Check out all the results in the blog below. You can find all the state tournament info at the end of the blog.


Alma

The Cardinals earned the #2 seed in the D1-9 subdistrict and faced #3 Elm Creek on Monday. After dropping set one 25-21, Alma took sets two, three, and four with scores of 25-17, 25-23, and 25-22, to win the match 3-1. Tierston Moore had 25 kills and 11 digs, Chayse Molzahn had 17 kills, three aces, and six blocks, Kamryn Scott had two aces and 10 digs, Kamri Neal had 15 digs, and Miley Whitney had 15 digs and 45 assists.


Alma advanced to take on #1 Kenesaw on Tuesday and took set one 25-17 but dropped the next three sets, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-17, to fall in the match, 3-1, and end their season. Moore had 16 kills, two aces, five blocks, and eight digs, Molzahn had five blocks and six kills, Vayden Epp had three blocks, five kills, and 18 digs, Scott had 15 digs, Neal had 16 digs, and Whitney had 15 digs and 27 assists.


During the subdistrict tournament, Whitney achieved 2,000 career assists.


Alma finished the year with a record of 20-11.


Arapahoe

Arapahoe was the #4 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict tournament and faced #5 Hi-Line on Monday. The Warriors took set one 25-21, dropped set two 25-20, and won sets three and four with set scores of 25-17 and 25-20 to win the match, 3-1. Desi Farner had 15 kills, three aces, and 14 digs, Rylee Bahe had 10 kills, 12 digs, and 22 assists, and Sawyer Shafer had 16 assists.


They advanced to take on #1 Southwest that same evening and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-14. Farner had five kills and seven digs and Bahe had eight digs and 10 assists in the match.


Arapahoe finished their season with a record of 11-15.


Bertrand

In the D2-6 subdistrict, Bertrand was the #4 seed and faced #5 Wilcox-Hildreth on Monday. Bertrand defeated the Falcons 3-1 after taking sets one and two with set scores of 25-14 and 25-12, they dropped set three with a score of 26-24, and then took set four, 25-16. Shelby Schoene had 16 kills, two aces, and two blocks, Katelyn Evans had 13 kills, six aces, and seven digs, Brooklyn Evans had 13 kills, three aces, and 26 digs, Addy Sand had four aces, Livia Philips had three aces and 19 digs, and Addison Andersen had five aces, two blocks, 19 digs, and 46 assists.


That win advanced the Vikings to take on #1 Overton. Bertrand was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, and 25-21. B. Evans had nine kills and 19 digs, K. Evans had eight kills, three aces, and five digs, and Andersen had 18 digs and 27 assists.


Bertrand ended their season with a record of 18-13.



Cambridge

Cambridge was the #2 seed in the D1-10 subdristrct. They played #3 Wauneta-Palisade on Monday and took sets one and two with set scores of 25-14 and 25-16, dropped set three 25-19, and then won set four 25-13 and the match, 3-1. Brooklyn Holtze had 18 kills, five aces, two blocks, and seven digs, Erin Johnson had 17 kills, five aces, and 13 digs, Joslyn Holtze had 10 kills and 16 assists, Annabelle Taylor had three blocks, Elisabeth Kubik had 14 digs, and Mallory Springer had 13 digs and 46 assists.


The Trojans advanced to face #1 Southwest on Tuesday night and were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-20. Johnson had 11 kills and 11 digs, B. Holtze had 13 digs, Kubik had 12 digs, J. Holtze had 10 digs, Chloe Gooden had 10 digs, and Springer had 22 assists.


In that subdistrict final match against Southwest, Mallory Springer achieved 1,500 career assists.


The Trojans had enough power points to clinch a district final spot on Saturday. They earned the #6 seed and hosted the D1-6 District Final match against #12 Ansley-Litchfield. Cambridge took set one 25-21, dropped set two 25-20, and then won sets three and four with set scores of 25-17 and 25-17, which earned them the win of 3-1 and a trip to Lincoln. Johnson had 21 kills and 14 digs, B. Holtze had 19 kills, four aces, and 15 digs, J. Holtze had 18 digs, Kubik had 15 digs, and Springer had 19 digs and 39 assists.


Cambridge improves to 22-10 and is the #4 seed in Class D1 and will face #5 EMF on Thursday on the North Court at Pinnacle Bank Arena at 3:00 P.M. CT.


Dundy County Stratton

The Tigers were the #1 seed in the Class D2-9 subdistrict. DCS played #4 Paxton and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-19. Emily Schack had 12 kills, two aces, and three digs, Clara Spargo had five kills, two aces, and five digs, Ava Lutz had five kills, two aces, and two digs, Abi Spargo had five kills, four aces, five blocks, and two digs, and Laynee Lutz ahd four aces, two blocks, six digs, and 23 assists. Lexie Yrkoski also added nine digs.


DCS advanced to take on #2 Hitchcock County on Tuesday and they swept the Falcons, 3-0, with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 26-24. C. Spargo had 17 kills and eight digs, Schack had 10 kills and 16 digs, A. Spargo had nine kills and five blocks, A. Lutz had two aces and seven digs, Yrkoski had 13 digs, and L. Lutz had three aces, 13 digs, and 37 assists.


The Tigers advanced to the D2-5 District Final on Saturday. #5 Amherst played host to #12 DCS. They fought hard but came up short, 3-1. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup and you can read more about the match here.


DCS ends their season with a record 19-10.



Hi-Line

The Bulls were the #5 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict and faced #4 Arapahoe on Monday's first game. Hi-Line dropped set one 25-21, won set two 25-20, and dropped sets three and four 25-17 and 25-20. Lauryn Ruda had eight kills, Bentley Stubbs had 13 digs, Rilee Schutz had 11 digs, and Ellaray Koch had two aces, eight digs, and 20 assists.


Hi-Line ended their season with a record of 6-22.


Hitchcock County

The Falcons were the #2 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict. The defeated #3 seeded Wallace on Monday, 3-0, with scores of 25-9, 25-22, and 25-16. Madysen Carlson had 10 kills and five blocks, Asia Homma had 10 kills, two blocks, and 17 digs, Riley Hagan had six kills, two aces, and nine digs, Kaiah Johnson had seven kills, two aces, and 16 digs, Raegan Hagan had 20 digs and 19 assists, Jayda Wood had 11 digs, and Jill McArthur had 15 digs and 12 assists.


Hitchcock County advanced to take on #1 DCS on Tuesday. The Falcons were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 26-24. Carlson had 14 kills and three blocks, Homma had seven kills, three aces, two blocks, and 10 digs , Riley Hagan had 15 digs, and McArthur had 14 assists.


Hitchcock County ended their season with a record of 16-18.


Maxwell

The Wildcats earned the #2 seed in the C2-7 subdistrict and faced #3 Centura on Monday. Maxwell took set one 25-22 and then dropped the next three sets with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, and 25-14, falling in the match, 3-1. Kristyn Cheek had 11 kills, two aces, and nine digs, Victoria Quick had eight kills and 14 digs, Rylyn Quick had six blocks, Emory Christensen had six blocks and 20 assists, and Kylee Wyman had 14 digs.


Maxwell ended their season with a record of 17-13.



Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center earned the #1 seed in the C2-9 subdistrict, which earned them hosting rights.


On Tuesday, they battled #4 Sutton and earned the 3-1 win. Sutton took set one 29-27 and then the Wolves took sets two, three, and four with set scores of 27-25, 25-20, and 25-21. Caylie Softley had 16 kills and 16 digs, Karissa Stengel had 15 kills, three blocks, and 14 digs, Kassidy Hatfield had nine kills and three blocks, Blayklee Farr had five blocks and 16 digs, Aubrey Broz had three blocks, 22 assists, and nine digs, and Reagan Stengel had three aces, eight digs, and 25 assists.


The Wolves advanced to take on Arcadia-Loup City on Wednesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16, 27-25, and 25-14. K. Stengel had nine kills, three aces, and three digs, Farr had four blocks, R. Stengel had three blocks, eight digs, and 15 assists, and Broz had eight digs and 15 assists.


MHC advanced to the C2-2 District Final where they were the #15 seed and faced host Oakland-Craig who was the #2 seed. MHC was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, and 25-15. Softley had six kills and nine digs, Farr had six kills and three blocks, and Broz had 12 assists.


Maywood-Hayes Center finished the season with a record of 25-8.


Medicine Valley 

Medicine Valley was the #5 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #4 Paxton on Monday. The Raiders were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-13. Oakley Stout had five kills, two aces, and 11 digs, Remmi Stout had four kills, four blocks, and five digs, TeeJay Hilderbrandt had 13 digs, and Haylie Gustafson had six assists.


Medicine Valley finished their season with a record of 3-23.



Paxton

Paxton was the #4 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and faced #5 Medicine Valley on Monday night. The Tigers earned the 3-0 sweep, with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-13. Jakcee Mitchell had 12 kills and 11 digs, Emmalee Nicholson had four aces, Jaleigh Hansen had three aces and 13 digs, Sarah Brott had two blocks, and Madisen Hansen had 10 digs and 24 assists.


The Tigers advanced to take on #1 Dundy County Stratton. Paxton was swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-19. Mitchell had seven kills

Southern Valley

Southern Valley was the #2 seed in the C2-8 subdistrict and fell to #3 Centennial on Monday night, 3-1, with set scores of 15-25, 25-22, 19-25, and 12-25.


The Eagles finished their season with a record of 17-13.


Southwest

Southwest was the #1 seed in the Class D1-10 subdistrict and faced #4 Arapahoe on Monday. They got the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-14. Atleigh Nelms had nine kills, Kyra Nelms had eight kills and three blocks, Anikka Nelms had seven kills, Allison VanPelt had 17 digs, and Aspen Billeter had four aces and 27 assists.


On Tuesday, the Roughriders swept #2 Cambridge with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-20. K. Nelms had 14 kills and four aces, Atleigh Nelms had nine kills and eight digs, VanPelt had four aces and 13 digs, Anastasia Gallegos had 10 digs, and Billeter had 30 assists.


On Saturday, the #1 Roughriders defeated #16 Potter-Dix, 3-0, in the D1-1 District Final with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, and 25-12. K. Nelms had 14 kills, Anikka Nelms had 11 kills, Atleigh Nelms had seven kills and five aces, and Billeter had 33 assists.


Southwest advances to the State Tournament as the #1 seed and will face #8 Diller-Odell at 1:00 P.M. CT at Pinnacle Bank Arena North Court on Thursday, November 7th.



Sutherland

In the D1-11 subdistrict, Sutherland was the #2 seed and swept #3 South Platte with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, and 25-17. Reese Erbert and Mahala Vasquez each posted five kills. Fallyn Elfeldt had four aces and 27 digs and Gracyn Elfeldt had 18 digs and 16 assists.


The Sailors advanced to take on #1 Brady and it took five sets to determine the winner. Sutherland took set one 25-23, dropped sets two and three 25-13 and 25-22, won set four 25-22, and came up short in set five 15-10, and lost the match, 3-2. Vasquez had 20 kills and Payten Weber and F. Elfeldt each had six kills. Vasquez added three aces and 21 digs while Weber had 15 digs, Erbert had 23 digs, F. Elfeldt had 25 digs, and G. Elfeldt had 37 digs and 35 assists.


Sutherland ends their season with a record of 11-19.


Wallace

Wallace was the #3 seed in the D2-9 subdistrict and was swept by #2 Hitchcock County on Monday with set scores of 25-9, 25-22, and 25-16. Reagan Finley had six kills and 12 digs, Mallory McConnell had five blocks, Mariana Aceves-Lopez had 18 digs, Devin Giesselmann had 14 digs, and Kaley Sauser had 20 digs and nine assists.


Wallace ended their season with a record of 14-14.


Wauneta-Palisade 

The Broncos were the #3 seed in the D1-10 subdistrict and faced #2 Cambridge. Wauneta-Palisade fell in sets one and two 25-14 and 25-16 but took set three 25-19. They dropped set four 25-13 and the match, 3-1.


Wauneta-Palisade finished the season with a record of 16-13.
