RPAC Volleyball Results as of 9/7

It is week two of the volleyball season, but teams are rolling, and there were great matches throughout the week. Let's check it out.

Alma


Alma started their week on Tuesday in Wilcox-Hildreth with a triangular with the Falcons and Franklin. Against the Falcons, Alma earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-21 and 25-23. Tierston Moore had eight kills, Vayden Epp had six kills, and Kamri Neal and Taylor Pool each posted three kills. Scott added three aces and nine assists, while Epp added five digs, Neal added four digs, and Abbie Pool had 10 assists.


Against Franklin, Alma dropped set one, 25-23, but took sets two and three, 25-16 and 25-23, to take the match, 2-1. Moore led the team with 11 kills and added five digs; Epp and T. Pool each had five kills; and Neal and Scott each had four kills. T. Pool had three blocks and seven digs, Epp added 22 digs, Neal had 10 digs, Halee Neubauer had nine digs, and Scott, A. Pool, and Moore each had five digs. Scott had 14 assists, and A. Pool had 12 assists.


On Thursday, the Cardinals traveled to Bertrand for a triangular with Cambridge and the Vikings. Against Cambridge, Alma was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-19 and 25-11. Moore had four kills and four digs; T. Pool had four kills and two blocks; Epp had three kills and six digs; Neal had 10 digs; and Scott had 10 assists.


Against Bertrand, Alma took set one, 25-16; Bertrand took set two, 25-22, but the Cardinals took the third set, 25-19, and the match, 2-1. Moore had 15 kills, three blocks, and eight digs; Epp had nine kills and 13 digs; Neal had six kills and 15 digs; Neubauer had 10 digs; Scott had seven digs and 31 assists; and A. Pool had seven digs.


The Cardinals are 4-3 and will travel to Northern Valley, KS, for a triangular with Northern Valley and Wilcox-Hildreth, host Elm Creek on Thursday, and travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.


Arapahoe


The Warriors traveled to Hitchcock County for a triangular with the Falcons and Dundy County Stratton. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup - Click here to read the complete results.


In the 2-0 sweep over Hitchcock County, Emma Strand had 12 kills and six digs; Clara Hilker had six kills, two aces, and 13 digs; Meg Hilker had two blocks and seven digs; Suttyn Shafer had 20 digs; Taytum Roskop had eight digs; Sawyer Shafer had 11 digs and 14 assists; and Grace Andrews had three aces and seven assists.


In their match against DCS, the Warriors were swept 2-0. Strand led the way with five kills, three aces, and three digs. Andrews had five assists, and Roskop had six digs.


Arapahoe is 2-2 and will travel to Loomis on Tuesday for a triangular on Tuesday with the Wolves and Maywood-Hayes Center, host Brady on Thursday, and will travel to Hitchcock County on Saturday for a tournament.


Bertrand


Bertrand traveled to Elm Creek on Tuesday for a dual and was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, and 25-9. Livia Philips had five kills and 15 digs; Addy Sand had four kills and three aces; Adlea Hock had eight digs; Baylee Kipp had six digs; and Addison Andersen had six digs and eight assists.


On Thursday, Bertrand hosted Cambridge and Alma for a triangular. In their match with the Trojans, the Vikings were swept 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-18. Philips had seven kills and 13 digs, Alivia Rabe had four kills, Kipp had 19 digs, Hock had five digs, and Andersen had 10 digs and 13 assists.


Against Alma, Bertrand lost set one, 25-15, won set two, 25-22, but came up short in set three, 25-19, losing the match, 2-1. Philips had seven kills and 18 digs, Sand had five kills, three aces, and nine digs, Hock added six digs, and Andersen added two aces, 12 digs, and 20 assists.


The Vikings are 0-4 and will host Medicine Valley on Tuesday for a dual, host a triangular on Thursday with Cozad and Hi-Line, and travel to Loomis on Saturday for a tournament.



Cambridge

During the sweep over Sutherland, Brooklyn Holtze recorded 11 kills, five digs, and six assists; Elisabeth Kubik had six kills and six digs; Mallory Springer contributed five aces, four kills, eight digs, and 14 assists; Annabelle Taylor and Kolbryn Clason each had nine digs.


The Trojans swept Paxton, led by Holtze with seven kills and five assists. Springer had six kills, five digs, and eight assists, while Taylor contributed nine digs.


On Thursday, Cambridge traveled to Bertrand for a triangular with the Vikings and Alma. The Trojans swept Bertrand, 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-18. Holtze had six kills, seven digs, and six assists; Kubik had four kills, two aces, and 12 digs; Taylor had four kills, four blocks, and nine digs; Springer had seven digs and 11 assists; and Clason had 10 digs.


In the 2-0 sweep (25-19 and 25-11) over Alma, Springer had 14 kills, 11 digs, and eight assists; Joslyn Holtze had seven kills; Taylor and Clason each had seven digs; and B. Holtze had six digs and 13 assists.


The Trojans are 7-1 and will travel to Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday for a triangular with the Tigers and North Platte St. Pat's, and travel to Overton on Thursday for a dual.


Dundy County Stratton

In the 2-0 sweep over Arapahoe, Emily Schack had eight kills and seven digs; Abi Spargo had seven kills, five blocks, and three digs; Clara Spargo had six kills and four digs; Kimberly Escobar had 11 digs, Lexie Yrkoski had six digs, and Bree Lutz had 21 assists.


In the 2-1 win over Hitchcock County, Schack had 14 kills and 14 digs, A. Spargo had nine kills, eight blocks, and 13 digs, C. Spargo had eight kills, six blocks, and 20 digs, Escobar added 13 digs, Yrkoski had eight digs, Ava Lutz had seven digs, and B. Lutz had 14 digs and 26 assists.


DCS is 4-1 and will host Cambridge and North Platte St. Pat's for a triangular on Tuesday, and travel to Medicine Valley on Thursday for a dual.

Hi-Line


On Tuesday, the Bulls hosted Medicine Valley for a dual and earned the 3-1 victory. Hi-Line took the first two sets, 25-10 and 25-17; the Raiders took set three, 25-23, and the Bulls took the fourth set, 25-20. The Bulls were strong from the service line as they had 16 aces in the match, with RiLee Schutz posting six, Klaire Pohl added three, Bentley Stubbs, Julea Moore, and Kylee Hubert each added two. Lauryn Ruda had 10 kills and three blocks; Moore had seven kills and nine digs; Schutz had six kills and 18 digs; and Pohl added 13 digs and 22 assists.


On Thursday, Hi-Line traveled to SEM for a triangular with the Mustangs and Wilcox-Hildreth. Against SEM, the Bulls were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-13 and 25-12. Ruda had four kills, and Schutz had three kills and five digs.


Against the Falcons, Hi-Line took set one, 25-18, but then dropped the second and third sets, 25-18 and 25-21, and fell in the match, 2-1. Ruda had 13 kills, three aces, and four digs; Schutz had five kills and eight digs; Moore had five aces and seven digs; Raelyn Roberer had six digs, and Pohl had five aces, nine digs, and 18 assists.


On Friday, Hi-Line traveled to South Loup and took the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-11, but the Bobcats took the third set, 25-23. The Bulls bounced back to take the fourth set, 25-18, and the match, 3-1. No stats were entered -- when those become available, we will update the blog.


The Bulls are 2-4 and will travel to Southwest on Tuesday for a dual meet, then travel to Bertrand for a triangular meet with Cozad and the Vikings, and finally travel to Loomis on Saturday for a tournament.


Hitchcock County

Against Arapahoe, the Falcons were swept 2-0. Riley Hagan had nine kills and 11 digs; Madysen Carlson had six kills and three blocks; Asia Homma had six kills and five digs; Kalissa Hagan added 16 digs and 11 assists; Emma Hagan had 13 digs, and Jayda Wood had 12 digs.


In the Falcons 2-1 loss to Dundy County Stratton, R. Hagan had eight kills and 25 digs; Homma had seven digs and 14 digs; Carlson had six kills and four blocks; Katelyn Cook had five kills and six digs; K. Hagan had 13 assists and 10 digs; and Wood had 14 digs.


Hitchcock County is 1-5 and will host a triangular on Tuesday with Perkins County and Wallace, and will host a tournament on Saturday.



Maxwell


Maxwell had one match this week on Thursday when they traveled to Brady. The Wildcats were swept by the Eagles, 3-0, with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-16. Kristyn Cheek had 10 kills and nine digs; Madelyn Flock had five kills and 17 digs; Madelynn Nelson had 25 digs, Ellys Gosnell had 10 digs, and Emory Christensen had 10 digs and 20 assists.


Maxwell is 3-2 on the year and will host Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday and travel to the Loomis tournament on Saturday.

Maywood-Hayes Center


The Wolves traveled to Southwest on Thursday for a triangular with Rawlins County, KS, and the Roughriders. Against Rawlins County, MHC earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-10 and 25-17. Caylie Softley had 10 kills, two blocks, and six digs; Addison Richards had six kills and two blocks; Blayklee Farr had seven kills; and Karissa Stengel had five kills, two aces, 17 assists, and six digs; Ensley Lawless added eight digs; and Lanie Soundy added six assists.


Against Southwest, the Wolves took set one 25-17 but dropped sets two and three, with set scores of 25-17 and 25-18, and ultimately lost the match, 2-1. Stengel had nine kills, 10 digs, and 12 assists; Softley had eight kills and nine digs; Farr had seven kills, six aces, six blocks, and four digs; Haylie Gustafson added four blocks and six digs; Lawless had 11 digs; Ava Messersmith had seven digs; and Jaylee Seller had nine digs and 12 assists.


On Saturday, MHC swept Perkins County, 3-0, with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, and 25-23. No stats were entered -- when those become available, we will update the blog.


Maywood-Hayes Center is 4-1 on the season and will travel to Loomis on Tuesday for a triangular with Loomis and Arapahoe, will travel to Maxwell on Thursday for a dual, and will attend the Hitchcock County tournament on Saturday.


Medicine Valley


Medicine Valley traveled to Hi-Line on Tuesday and lost the match, 3-1. The Bulls won sets one and two with set scores of 25-10 and 25-17. The Raiders won the third set 25-23, but dropped the fourth set, 25-20. Oakley Stout had eight kills, three blocks, and 19 digs; Kenley Cole had six kills and eight digs; Kamree Elsten had 13 digs, four aces, and 15 assists; TeeJay Hildebrandt had 13 digs, and Aspen Closman had five digs.


On Friday, the Raiders traveled to Arthur County and lost the match, 3-1. The Raiders took set one, 25-15, but then dropped the next three sets, 25-21, 25-15, and 25-21. No stats were entered -- when those become available, we will update the blog.


Medicine Valley is 0-3 and will travel to Bertrand on Tuesday, host Dundy County Stratton on Thursday, and travel to the Seven Valleys Tournament on Saturday in Callaway.

Paxton

Against Cambridge, the Tigers were swept, 2-0. Jaleigh Hansen had three kills and seven digs; Addison Holm had three kills and five digs; Jakcee Mitchell had five digs; and Hadleigh Kramer had seven assists.


In the 2-0 sweep over Sutherland, Holm had nine kills and eight digs, Reece Glinn had seven kills and nine digs, Hansen had five kills and 12 digs, Mitchell had eight digs, and Kramer had 11 digs and 20 assists.


On Thursday, the Tigers traveled to South Platte and earned the 3-1 win. Paxton set one, 25-15, lost set two, 25-20, and won sets three and four, 25-19 and 25-6. Holm had 14 kills and 11 digs, Mitchell had 13 kills, two aces, and 15 digs, Glinn had nine kills, two aces, and 12 digs, Hansen had six kills and 10 digs, and Kramer had 13 digs and 35 assists.


Paxton is 3-2 and will travel to Brady on Tuesday, travel to Garden County on Thursday for a triangular with Garden County and Minatare, and finally attend the Seven Valleys Tournament in Callaway.


Southern Valley


On Tuesday, the Eagles traveled to Gothenburg and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-8. Tori Bose had eight kills and six digs, Cali Santifer had seven digs, Sophia Cunningham had six digs, and Emercen Lovitt had six assists.


On Thursday, Southern Valley traveled to Cozad and was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-23. No stats were entered -- when those become available, we will update the blog.


The Eagles are 1-2 and will travel to Elm Creek for a triangular on Tuesday with the Buffaloes and Franklin. They will then travel to Sutherland on Thursday for a triangular with the Sailors and Southwest. The Eagles will head to the Elm Creek tournament on Saturday.

Southwest


Southwest hosted a triangular with Rawlins County, KS, and Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday.


Against Rawlins County, KS, Southwest earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-23 and 25-21. Kyra Nelms had 17 kills, Anikka Nelms had 13 kills and seven digs, Aspen Billeter had nine digs and 30 assists, and Caitlyn Adams had six digs.


Against Maywood-Hayes Center, the Roughriders dropped set one 25-17 but responded to take sets two and three with set scores of 25-17 and 25-18, securing the match, 2-1. A. Nelms had 18 kills, three aces, and 19 digs; K. Nelms had 16 kills and 11 digs; Bellamie Stritt had nine digs; Adams had five digs; and Billeter had 12 digs and 27 assists.


Southwest remains unbeaten with a 6-0 record and will host Hi-Line on Tuesday and travel to Sutherland on Thursday for a triangular with the Sailors and Southern Valley.



Sutherland

Sutherland was swept by Paxton, 2-0. Leah Harper had four kills, Kate Dyer had four kills, Payten Weber had 11 digs, Macradee Lantis had six digs, and Drew Rotert had six digs and nine assists.


Against Cambridge, the Sailors were swept, 2-0. Addisyn Gunderson, Harper, and Addison Arvdal each had three kills. Weber had nine digs, Lantis had four digs, and Rotert had four digs and 11 assists.


The Sailors are 1-3 and will host a triangular on Thursday with Southern Valley and Southwest, and travel to Elm Creek for a tournament on Saturday.


Wallace


Wallace traveled to Arthur County on Tuesday for a triangular with Arthur County and Cody-Kilgore. Against Arthur County, Wallace was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-20 and 25-19. Reagan Finley had six kills and four digs, Kaley Sauser had four kills, six digs, and six assists, Mariana Aceves-Lopez had seven digs, and Maddison Gartrell added four digs.


Against Cody-Kilgore, the Wildcats earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-17. Serving was strong as they totaled 12 aces, Aceves Lopez had five aces, Gartrell added three aces, and Finley had two aces. Finley also added three kills, Sauser had five kills, eight digs, and three assists, and Briseyda Vazquez added 10 digs.


On Thursday, Wallace traveled to Creek Valley for a dual and won 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, and 27-25. Another strong night from the service line with 15 total aces, Sauser had seven, Aceves-Lopez had five, and Finley added two. Finley had eight kills and six digs, Gartrell added six kills and five digs, Aceves-Lopez had 11 digs, Vazquez had six digs, and Sauser had seven kills, three digs, and 12 assists.


Wallace is 3-1 and will travel to Hitchcock County on Tuesday for a triangular with the Falcons and Perkins County, and will travel to Loomis on Saturday for a tournament.


Wauneta-Palisade


The Broncos had one match on Saturday last week and earned the 3-0 sweep over Cheylin, KS, with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-17. No stats were entered -- when those become available, we will update the blog.
