What a weekend. The RPAC claimed 19 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and one All-Class Gold medal at the 2025 NSAA State Track Meet for Classes C and D on Friday and Saturday. The weather was much better today, and the rain held off. However, we did encounter a little moisture on Saturday, but not like the rain from Friday. Check out the full recap from Saturday's action in the blog.

Both the Dundy County Stratton boys and girls teams ran away with the team titles to clinch their first-ever team titles. Based on our research, Max was the Boys 1932 State Track Champions, but these titles are the first in school history for Dundy County Stratton.

We chatted with Coach Mike Spargo about the team titles. "You look around at all the state championship banners, and you look back at the last girls and boys title was (went to the same school), and we are kind of in a special group, and this is a special group, so it's kind of a fitting end to the year," said Spargo.

Looking at the NSAA History page, in Class D, North Platte St. Pat's boys and girls swept the team titles in 2022 and Giltner in 2015.

"Everyone says track is an individual sport. We try to preach it as a team, starting with the relay groups and understanding that it takes four people to work together to win and achieve. Yeah, we all do individual events, but you look at where the team scores go and how the points add up. It takes everyone and every point to win the state championship," added Spargo.
