RPAC Boys Basketball Results as of 2/1

This past week, teams continued play in the RPAC Tournament, and we crowned a champion. Alma was named the Boys Title winner for a second straight year. So, this week on the blog, we will have the scores from each RPAC Team's games in the RPAC Tournament. For more in-depth articles about the Tournament, see the links below.
Alma
Alma won another RPAC Championship, their second in as many years. Here were their scores/matchups throughout the tourney. On Saturday, January 24th, the Cardinals played Arapahoe and won in the first round, 64-6. On Tuesday, they faced #5 seed Hi-Line and won by a final of 56-8. In the East Finals, they took down #2 seed Bertrand, 56-38. Then in the title game, they beat #5 Hitchcock County 64-32.
Alma is now 18-1 and will play Southern Valley on Friday at home.
Arapahoe
#8 seed in the East Arapahoe began the RPAC Tournament on Saturday, January 24th, against #1 Alma on the East side. They lost to the Cardinals 64-6. Arapahoe then faced Medicine Valley, the #4 seed, and lost 58-17 on Tuesday. That closed out their RPAC Tournament.
Arapahoe is 0-17 and will face Brady at home on Friday, and then go to Hitchcock County on Saturday this week.

Bertrand
Overall, the Vikings had a solid outing in the RPAC Tournament. The #2 seed in the East began with a win on Saturday, January 24th, against the #7 seed Southern Valley, 61-53. On Tuesday, January 27th the Vikings beat #3 seed Cambridge 62-44. In the East Finals, they played #1 seeded Alma and lost, 56-38.
Bertrand bounced back though, and in the RPAC Consolation game, they beat #3 seed from the West Wallace, 65-49. Bertrand is now 16-4 and will play at Medicine Valley on Friday.
Cambridge
The Trojans were the #3 seed in the East for the RPAC Tournament. On Saturday, January 24th, they began with a win against the #6 seed Southwest 68-66. Cambridge then played #2 seed Bertrand and lost 62-44 on Tuesday, the 27th. After that, they played #5 seed Hi-Line in the consolation round and won big, 73-37.
Cambridge is 11-6 and will play at Hi-Line on Thursday and then host North Platte St. Pat's on Saturday.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers were the #2 seed in the West for the RPAC Tournament. DCS began with a win against #7 seed Maxwell in the first round of the tourney on 1/24. Then, the Tigers fell to #2 seed Wallace, 58-50 on Tuesday. DCS bounced back on Friday, the 30th, and beat #1 seed Maywood-Hayes Center 50-26 in the consolation bracket.
DCS is now 14-3 and will play at Southwest on Tuesday, and then host Hershey on Friday and Cozad on Saturday.
Hi-Line
The Bulls of Hi-Line were the #5 seed on the East side of the RPAC Tournament. On 1/24 they beat #4 seed Medicine Valley 51-47. Then they played #1 seed Alma and lost 56-8 on 1/27. Then they fell to Cambridge on 1/30, 73-37 in the consolation bracket.
H-Line is 8-9 and will play Medicine Valley at home on Tuesday and then host Cambridge on Thursday.
Hitchcock County
The Hitchcock County Falcons were the #5 seed in the West and worked their way to the RPAC Title Game. On Saturday, 1/24, the Falcons beat #4 Paxton 52-33. On 1/27 the Falcons won against #1 seed Maywood-Hayes Center, 52-49. On 1/30 Hitchcock County beat #3 seed Wallace, 57-52.
Then, in the RPAC Championship, they played the #1 seed in the East, Alma, and lost 64-32. The Falcons are 11-8 and will play MHC on the road on Friday and then host Arapahoe on Saturday.

Maxwell
Maxwell was the #2 seed in the West for the RPAC Tournament. First, on 1/24, they played #2 seed DCS and lost 50-43. Then, on 1/27, the Wildcats faced #6 seed Sutherland and won 60-35. The Wildcats competed in the consolation bracket and faced #4 Paxton and lost 49-43 on 1/30.
Maxwell is 6-13 and will face Perkins County at home on Tuesday and then go to Wallace on Friday.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The MHC Wolves were the #1 seed in the West for the RPAC Tournament. On 1/24, they beat #8 seed Wauneta-Palisade 78-41. Then they played #5 seed Hitchcock County in the next round on 1/27 and lost 52-49. In the consolation bracket, DCS played #2 seed DCS and lost 50-26 on 1/30.
MHC is 13-5 and will play at Hershey on Thursday on the road and then host Hitchcock County on Friday.
Medicine Valley
The Raiders of Medicine Valley were the #4 seed in the East. On 1/24 they fell to #5 seed Hi-Line, 51-47. Medicine Valley then faced #8 seed Arapahoe on 1/27 and won 58-17. They closed out their tournament with a loss against #6 Southwest 69-61 on 1/30.
The Raiders are 9-7 and will play at Hi-Line on Tuesday, go to Wauneta-Palisade on Thursday, and host Bertrand on Friday.
Paxton
Paxton was the #5 seed on the West side of the RPAC Tournament. On 1/24 they lost to Hitchcock County 52-33. The Tigers bounced back in the consolation bracket and beat #8 Wauneta-Palisade on 1/27 51-27, and then #7 Maxwell on 1/30 49-43.
Paxton is now 10-7 and will face Sandhills Valley at home on Friday and then go to South Platte on Saturday.
Southern Valley
The Eagles played a pair of games in the RPAC Tournament. They were the #7 seed. andfirst lost to #2 seed Bertrand on 1/24 61-53. Then, they faced #6 seed Southwest on 1/27 and lost 68-60.
The Eagles are 4-14 and will play at Alma on Friday and then host South Loup on Saturday.

Southwest
Southwest was the #6 seed in the East for the RPAC Tournament. They played #3 seed Cambridge on 1/24 and lost a close won 68-66. Then, they played #7 seed Southern Valley and won, 68-60. The Roughriders' Houston Billeter had 40 points and was 6-13 from three and 14-17 from the free throw line.
Then, Southwest played #4 seed Medicine Valley and won 69-61 on 1/30. Southwest is 7-10 and will play at home against Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday and then at Perkins County on Thursday.
Sutherland
The Sailors were the #6 seed in the West for the RPAC Tournament. On 1/24 they played #3 seed Wallace and lost 61-20. On 1/27, they played #7 seed Maxwell and fell 60-35. Sutherland is now 4-12 and will play at Garden County on Tuesday and then host Wauneta-Palisade on Friday.

Wallace
The #3 seed in the West made a nice run in the RPAC Tournament. First on 1/24, the Wildcats beat #6 seed Sutherland 61-20. Then on 1/27 they took down #2 seed Dundy County Stratton, 58-50. In the West Finals, they fell to #5 seed Hitchcock County, 57-52. Then, the Wildcats closed out their tournament, the RPAC 3rd in 4th place game against the #2 seed Bertrand, 65-49.
Wallace is 12-5 and will host Brady on Tuesday, then go to Mullen on Thursday, and then host Maxwell on Friday.
Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade was the #8 seed in the West. First, on 1/24 they lost to MHC 78-41. Then, on 1/27 they fell to #4 Paxton 51-27.
The Broncos are 1-16 and will play at home Thursday against Medicine Valley and then go to Sutherland on Saturday.
