We are nearing the end of the regular season for basketball, so games remain important. Let's dive into this past week's results.
Alma
Alma played one game this week, against Southern Valley on Friday. The Cardinals won big, 64-30. The Cardinals went up 32-5 in the first quarter and never looked back. Zavier Mitchell led the scoring for the Cardinals with 17 points and also had 10 rebounds. As a team, Alma shot 47% from the field.
Alma is now 19-1 and will be on. theroad on Tuesday and Friday against Phillipsburg, KS, and Cambridge, and then host Adams Central on Saturday. They have won 14 games in a row now.
Arapahoe
The Warriors of Arapahoe played two games, one on Friday and one on Saturday. First, they hosted Brady and lost, 46-35. Hayden Sich led the team in scoring 14 points, and he also had 11 rebounds.
Arapahoe then went to Hitchcock County and lost, 77-16. Houston Larson had eight points for Arapahoe. The Warriors are 0-19 and will host Cambridge on Tuesday and Bertrand on Friday this week.

Bertrand

Bertrand is 17-4 now and will play at Arapahoe on Friday and host Kenesaw on Saturday.
Cambridge
The Cambridge Trojans played in two games this week and split the matchups. First, they played Hi-Line on Thursday and won 66-33. Four Trojans were in double figures as Brady Ahlemeyer had 21 points, Hodge Raburn had 12, Maverick Webb scored 11, and Braydon Miller had 10.
Cambridge then faced North Platte St. Pat's at home on Saturday and lost, 83-63. Cambridge's Brady Ahlemeyer reached 1,000 career points during the week.
Cambridge is 12-7 and will face Arapahoe on the road on Tuesday and then host Alma on Friday.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers of DCS had three games and went 2-1 during the week. First, they played Southwest and won 58-45. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can read the game story here.
Then, they hosted Hershey and won a close battle, 58-55. Ethan Latta had a big game for DCS with 25 points. August Shaw scored 14. The Tigers shot 44% from the field.
On Saturday, the Tigers faced Cozad and dropped the game, 71-49. Latta scored 21 points, and Shaw had 10.
DCS is 16-4 and will face St. Pat's on Tuesday at home and then go to Southern Valley on Friday.
Hi-Line
The Bulls played a pair of games this past week and dropped each of them. First, they played Medicine Valley and lost a high scoring battke, 75-71. Kane Cochrane had 22 points, Brody Diefenbaugh had 17, and Bladen Williams had 16. The Bulls hit 12 three-pointers as a team.
Hi-Line then faced Cambridge and lost, 66-33.
Hi-Line is now 8-11 and will face Gothenburg on the road on Tuesday, then South Loup on Friday on the road.
Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County played two games last week and split the matchups. First, they had a rematch with Maywood-Hayes Center and lost, 50-41. This was the third matchup, and the Wolves have won twice.
Hitchcock County bounced back and got the win over Arapahoe on Saturday, 77-16.
The Falcons are 12-9 and will play at Chase County on Tuesday and then host Wallace on Friday.

Maxwell
The Wildcats had two games and ended up going 0-2. First, they fell to Perkins County 62-44. Jesse Reyes had 19 points for the Wildcats to lead the way. Maxwell then played Wallace and lost 61-41. Maxwell is now 6-15 and will face Sutherland on Tuesday and then Medicine Valley on Thursday. Both games are on the road.
Maywood-Hayes Center
The Wolves played two games during the past week and went 1-1. They started with a game against Hershey, a squad that is a couple of classes higher. The Wolves fell in the game, 51-38. MHC had only one quarter in which they scored over single digits. Keenan Richards had 14 points, and Charlie Callis had 12.
MHC then bounced back and won against Hitchcock County. This is the second time they have beaten them in three tries. This time they won 50-41
MHC is 14-6 and will play at home against Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday and then go to Chase County on Friday.
Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley played three games last week and won two of them. First, they beat Hi-Line on Tuesday in a close game, 75-71. Four Raiders were in double figures as Lucas Einspahr had 21 points, Peyton Newcomb had 18, Mason Roblee had 18, and Ethan Brown had 14. The Raiders shot 47% from the field. Roblee had 12 rebounds, too. They hit 10 threes as a team.

Medicine Valley is now 11-8 and will play Maxwell on Thursday and Brady on Friday.
Paxton
Paxton played two games last week and won them both, which means their win streak is at four games now. First, they played Sandhills Valley and won 62-33. Four Tigers had at least 10 points and Tristen Hebblethwaite and Keegan Florom had 10, Maddex McConnell had 15, and Chase Holm had 16.
The Tigers then faced South Platte and won 61-48. The Tigers shot 51% from the field. McConnell had 21 points, Florom had 12, Holm had 10, and Griffin Perlinger had 10.
Paxton moves to 12-7 and will play at Hershey on Tuesday and then host Sutherland on Thursday.

Southern Valley
The Eagles had a couple of games last week and dropped them both. They fell to rival Alma on Friday, 64-30. Isaac Hamilton led the team in scoring at nine points.
Southern Valley then faced South Loup and lost the game 60-46. Southern Valley is 4-16 and will face Dundy County Stratton on Friday at home.
Southwest

Southwest then faced Perkins County and lost, 72-58. Southwest is now 7-12 and will face Wallace on Tuesday on the road, and then go to Axtell on Friday.
Sutherland
The Sailors of Sutherland played two games last week and split the matchups. First, they played Garden County and lost 77-33. Sutherland was led by nine points from Mason Mortimer. Easton Smith had nine rebounds and five assists.
Sutherland bounced back and beat Wauneta-Palisade 47-32. Sutherland is now 5-13 and will host Maxwell on Tuesday and then go to Paxton on Thursday.

Wallace
The Wildcats had a full week and won three games. Firs they beat Brady 58-35. Wallce led 15-14 after the first quarter, then got going on offense and defense to secure the win. Colt Franklin had 22 points, Max Hanson had 14, and Brad Hanson had 10.
They then defeated Mullen 43-34. Franklin scored 15, and Max Hanson had 12. Wyatt Robertson had 10 assists.
Finally, they beat Maxwell 61-41. Wallace is now 15-5 and will play Tuesday against Southwest at home, go to Hitchcock County on Friday, and then host Grand Island Lutheran.
Wauneta-Palisade

Then they faced Sutherland and lost, 47-32. The Broncos are 1-18 and will play Maywood-Hayes Center on Tuesday on the road.
