RPAC Football Results as of 9/14, Week 3

All 16 RPAC football teams were in action this past week. Before we dive into the results, let's check out the RPAC Rundown Football Scoreboard brought to you by MNB Realty.

Also, 8-man teams begin district play this week. Just a reminder, here is what district each RPAC team is in.


D1-9: Dundy County Stratton, Alma, Hi-Line, Southern Valley, and Arapahoe

D1-10: Sutherland

D2-8: Bertrand, Cambridge, Hitchcock County, and Maywood-Hayes Center

D2-9: Maxwell

D6-4 Paxton, Medicine Valley, Southwest, Wallace, and Wanuneta-Palisade



Alma vs Sandy Creek


Alma went to #5 Sandy Creek on Friday night and battled hard, but fell 68-26. Alma trailed 16-8 after the first quarter. But Sandy Creek scored 30 points in the second quarter and never looked back. Kam Sealey of Sandy Creek had 345 yards passing and five touchdowns, and 108 yards rushing and a score.


For Alma, Zavier Mitchell had 143 yards passing, 56 yards rushing, and two total touchdowns. Drew Lewis had 53 yards rushing and a score. Tucker Biskup had nine catches for 75 yards, Grady Faimon had a catch for 19 yards and a touchdown, and Zane Clark had 60 yards and a score on six catches. Mitchell had an interception, Ryan Maly, Banks Hammond, and West Bennet each had seven tackles.


Alma is 1-2 and will be at home to begin district play against North Platte St. Pat's on Friday.





Arapahoe vs Arcadia-Loup City


The Warriors were on the road to face Arcadia/Loup City on Friday. Arapahoe dropped the game 54-6. Arapahoe will look to bounce back as they are 0-3 and will host Southern Valley on Friday to start district play.



Bertrand vs Brady


Bertrand played Brady on Friday evening for a homecoming matchup. Bertrand moved to 3-0 with a 78-24 win. Bertrand will hit the road Thursday to play top-10 Cambridge and begin district play.


Cambridge vs Axtell


Cambridge faced Axtell on Friday evening. The top-10 rated Trojans won by a shutout, 68-0. Cambridge got after it early, scoring 60 points in the first half, and they never looked back. Micah Gerlach was 1-1 passing with 19 yards and a touchdown. Cole Cobb was 1-1 with 27 yards passing. As a team, Cambridge ran for 506 yards on 45 carries, averaging 11.2 per carry. Brady Ahlemeyer had 148 yards and three touchdowns, Krayton Ruggles had 101 yards and a score, and Gerlach had 121 yards and two touchdowns. Hodge, Raburn, and Cobb had rushing touchdowns, too.


Ahlemeyer had 19 yards receiving and a score; Conner Long had 27 yards receiving.


Sean Polly led the defense with seven tackles, and so did Ben Harris. Harris had three TFLs, and Jake Rasmussen had one sack. Ahlmeyer, Raburn, and Alyk Gray each had an interception.


Cambridge moves to 3-0 and will host Bertrand, who is 3-0 for district play and Homecoming.



Dundy County Stratton vs Sutherland


Dundy County Stratton and Sutherland played on Thursday, and DCS won 48-0. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.


District play begins, and Sutherland falls to 0-3 and will host Morrill next Friday. DCS moves to 3-0 and will play on Friday at Hi-Line, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup


Hi-Line vs Ravenna


Hi-Line played a salty Ravenna team on Friday and lost 54-14. Brody Difenbaugh led the rushing for HI-Line with 44 yards, and Traevyn Koch had 31 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, Jaxson Hood had nine tackles, Parker Schutz had eight, and Gage Rupp and Chase Betiler each had seven. Beitler and Karter Tilson each had a fumble recovery.


Hi-Line is now 1-2 and will play one of the top teams in D1, and in their district, DCS, on Friday at home, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup






Hitchcock County vs Franklin


The #8 Falcons hosted Franklin on Thursday and won by a final of 68-6. The Falcons got up early and did not take their foot off the gas, which is a common theme for this squad. The Falcons had to throw just one pass, which was completed by Jack Baker to Adam Kisker for three yards.


Grady Erickson had 119 yards for two touchdowns, Baker had 111 yards and three scores, Carter Propp had 93 yards and two scores, and Isaac Vrbas and Tyson Carlson had rushing touchdowns, too.


On defense, Karson Shuler had 11 tackles and Brody Hubl had 10.


The Falcons move to 3-0 and will play at home versus Overton to begin district play on Friday.


Maxwell vs Maywood-Hayes Center


Maxwell and Maywood-Hayes Center battled on Friday in a close one; the Wildcats won 36-28. For Maywood-Hayes Center, Sawyer Dibbern was a monster on the ground with 27 carries for 231 yards and three touchdowns. Kade Broz had 58 yards and a touchdown. Dibbern led the tackling effort, too, with 10, and Cooper Soundy had nine.


For Maxwell, Jesse Reyes had 175 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Jahven Reyes had 47 yards rushing. Jesse Reyes was 3-4 passing with 23 yards and a score, and Jahven Reyes was the recipient of that touchdown pass.


Maywood-Hayes Center is now 0-3 and will begin district play at home against Loomis on Friday. Maxwell is 2-1 and will be at Hyannis on Friday to start district play.


Medicine Valley vs Garden County


Medicine Valley was at home against one of the top teams in D6, Garden County. Medicine Valley fell in the game, 73-6. The Raiders are now 0-2 and will play at Ansley-Litchfield on Friday.






Paxton vs Minatare


Paxton hosted Minatare on Friday. The Tigers won 56-6. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, so you can read the full story here.


Paxton is 1-2 and has a bye and will next face Wauneta-Palisade on September 26th on the road.



Southern Valley vs Sutton


Southern Valley played Sutton, who is a borderline top-10 team in D1, on Friday night at home. The Eagles dropped the game, 70-28.


Southern Valley is now 0-3 and will begin district play on Friday at Arapahoe.

Southwest vs Arthur County


How about those Roughriders? It was a battle between two top-10 teams in D6. Southwest won 42-18. Houston Billeter led Southwest with 288 yards passing and four touchdowns. He added 30 yards rushing, too. His leading receiver was Jacob Barber with 182 yards and three touchdowns. Conner Weaver had seven yards and a score, Gage Haommond had 75 on three catches.


Barber had 15 yards on the ground and a touchdown, and Damario Koetter had 14 yards and a touchdown.


Barber had 13 tackles and Billeter had 12. Billeter had a pick, too.


Southwest is 2-0 and will be at South Platte on Thursday.





Wallace vs South Platte


Wallace kept things rolling with a 66-32 win on Friday against South Platte. Colt Franklin was 3-8 passing with 66 yards. Tyson Sullivan had 229 yards rushing and five scores, and Asthin Johns had 250 yards and four touchdowns. As a team, 520 yards rushing. Sullivan had 13 tackles to lead Wallace to along with an interception.


The top-10 rated and 3-0 Wildcats will have a bye, and then go to Southwest on September 26th, which is an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup.


Wauneta-Palisade vs Flagler, CO


Wauneta-Palisade also had another big win, this time against Flagler, CO. The Broncos won big, 48-16. Casey Walker had 158 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Kreyton Wiese had 95 yards and a touchdown too. Kameran McCrumb had 12 tackles and David Bryner added 10. Aaden Wheeler, Kameron Jutten, and Noah Sandman had a sack. Nathan Hiett had an interception.


Wauneta-Palisade is now 3-0; they have a bye, then they host Paxton on September 26th.
