The RPAC teams rounded out their schedules before the RPAC Tournament and have day one of the tournament in the books. You can find all those results and a current bracket in this week's blog!
Alma
Alma traveled to Loomis on Thursday to take on the Wolves and it was back and forth in the first half but adjustments after the break were huge in creating the separation to seal the 49-27 win.

Alma is now 14-1 on the season and will play #4 Cambridge on Monday at 6:00 P.M. in Bertrand.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe hosted Axtell on Tuesday and had a narrow lead as they went into the locker rooms but the Warriors had to hold off a second-half surge to secure the 37-33 win. Berkley Warner led the team with 16 points.
Arapahoe traveled to take on Southern Valley on Thursday and was able to keep it a six-point game after the first quarter. However, the Eagles came out hot in the second quarter and outscored the Warriors 24-0 to head into the break. Arapahoe coughed up 36 turnovers which played a big role in their loss to the Eagles, 62-33. Chloe Gooden led the way with 11 points.

Arapahoe is now 8-9 on the season and will play the winner of #6 Medicine Valley and #7 Bertrand on Thursday at 4:30 P.M. in Arapahoe.
Bertrand
Bertrand was scheduled to travel to Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday but as the weather deteriorated throughout the day, whiteout conditions made it impossible for the Vikings to get there forcing that game to be rescheduled to a later date.

Bertrand is now 4-9 on the season and will play #6 Medicine Valley at home on Monday at 4:30 P.M.
Cambridge
Cambridge traveled to Dundy County Stratton on Thursday and the Trojans jumped to the early lead but had to hold off several Tiger runs including a big push in the fourth quarter to secure the 39-35 win. Brylyn Springer led the way with 15 points and five rebounds while Jalen Kent added 12 points, five rebounds, and five steals.

Cambridge is now 10-5 on the season and advanced to play #1 Alma at Bertrand on Monday at 6:00 P.M.
Dundy County Stratton
The Tigers traveled to Wallace on Tuesday and were able to pick up the 47-30 win. Alyssa Schneider had 21 points and Clara Spargo added 13 points and seven rebounds.
Dundy County Stratton hosted Cambridge on Thursday and fell behind early, 11-2, which made it difficult to get back in the game but the Tigers countered with a 12-5 second quarter closing the gap. It was lots of back and forth but ultimately Dundy County Stratton couldn't complete the comeback as they lost 39-35. Laynee Lutz led the way with 10 points and six rebounds. Lutz and Alyssa Schneider each contributed four blocks.

Dundy County Stratton is now 7-9 on the season and advanced to take on #1 Maywood-Hayes Center in Maxwell on Monday at 6:00 P.M.
Hitchcock County
Hitchcock County hosted Paxton on Tuesday evening and had a solid start outscoring the Tigers 13-4 in the first quarter. That lead helped cushion a run by Paxton in the second half. The Falcons held off to get the 37-35 win. Raegan Hagan had 13 points while Asia Homma and Madysen Carlson were aggressive on the boards as Homma had 10 rebounds and Carlson had 12 rebounds. Head coach Mike Tines had this to say after their win, "This was a good win vs a very good Paxton team. Our girls played great defense throughout the game and offensively we took care of the ball and made enough to get the W. Our guards are doing a good job handling the ball under pressure and we are getting better scoring from our post position the last few games."

Hitchcock County is now 7-8 on the season and will advance to take on #2 Paxton at Maxwell on Monday at 7:30 P.M.
Maxwell
Maxwell hosted Brady on Tuesday and lost 34-29. Kristyn Cheek and Jocelyn Cheek each had eight points to lead the team.
On Thursday, Maxwell hosted Sandhills Valley and jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they sealed up a 56-18 win. Jocelyn Cheek led the way with 12 points and Madelyn Flock added 10 points.

Maxwell is now 6-8 on the season and will play the winner of #3 Wauneta-Palisade and #7 Wallace on Thursday at Hitchcock County at 4:30 P.M.
Maywood-Hayes Center
Bertrand was scheduled to travel to Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday but as the weather deteriorated throughout the day, whiteout conditions made it impossible for the Vikings to get there forcing that game to be rescheduled to a later date. As a result, the Wolves didn't have a game last week and will be heading into the RPAC Tournament with a full week off.

Medicine Valley
Medicine Valley traveled to Hi-Line on Thursday and got a big win, 63-18. The Raiders caused chaos with their high-pressure defense as they came away with 26 steals. They had a lot of girls in double figures as well. Stella Heapy led the way with 16 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, five steals, and two blocks. Remmi Stout had 12 points, six rebounds, eight steals, and two blocks, Kamree Elsten had 12 points, and Sienna Houghtelling had 10 points, six rebounds, and four steals.

The Raiders are 6-8 and will play #7 Bertrand in Bertrand on Monday at 4:30 P.M.
Paxton
Paxton traveled to Hitchcock County on Tuesday and fell behind early and struggled to climb out of the hole which led to them coming up short against the Falcons, 37-35. Ella Fote led the team with 14 points.
Wauneta-Palisade came to town on Thursday and the Broncos jumped out to the lead early as they led 41-32 as they went into the final quarter. The Tigers managed to outscore the Broncos, 19-6 in the fourth quarter to seal the comeback, 51-47. Jordan Clouse led the team with 13 points, Abigale Nicholson added 11 points, and Jacelyn Jorgensen had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Paxton is now 10-5 and advanced to take on #6 Hitchcock County on Monday in Maxwell at 7:30 P.M.
Southern Valley
Southern Valley hosted Arapahoe on Thursday and was able to lock up the 62-33 win. The Eagles had 20 of their 62 points off of the transition game which stemmed from their 26 steals. Ann Bose had 21 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and eight steals to lead the game. Adi Hunt added 14 points and 10 steals and Vanesa Aguayo had 11 points.

The Eagles are now 15-1 and will play #3 Southwest on Monday at Bertrand at 7:30 P.M.

Southwest
On Tuesday, Southwest hosted Cheylin, KS and had a solid, 35-9 lead after the first half. The Cougars made a run in the second half but the lead was too large and the Roughriders locked up the 62-33 win.

Southwest is 11-5 on the season and will play #2 Southern Valley at 7:30 P.M. in Bertrand on Monday.
Wallace
Wallace hosted Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday and while the Wildcats fell behind early, they made a run a the end. It was too late though as the Tigers were able to get the win, 47-30. Kaley Sauser had 12 points to lead the team.

Wallace is now 5-11 and will play #3 Wauneta-Palisade at 4:30 P.M. on Monday in Maxwell.
Wauneta-Palisade
Wauneta-Palisade traveled to Paxton on Thursday and they got off to a good start as they had a small lead after the half at 24-21. The Broncos extended that lead after the third quarter so the score read, 41-32. The Tigers came out of that final break and had their foot on the gas as they outscored Wauneta-Palisade, 19-6 in the final quarter to win 51-47. STATS
