On Friday, February 27th, the Cambridge Trojans will host SEM in the D2-5 District Final. Cambridge is the #5 seed and will battle against #12 seeded SEM at 6:00 P.M. CT. There are some interesting story lines here. Cambridge is in the RPAC and SEM in FKC, and not so long ago, Cambridge beat SEM in the NSAA Class D2 State Volleyball Tournament semifinals. Yes, a different sport, but that stuff matters, I think anyway. It adds an even more competitive element to a game. Let's dive into the matchup.

Cambridge Girls Basketball

This one has the makings to be an excellent game. I expect a great turnout from both fan bases. What I believe the key will be: rebounding. Who can get second-chance opportunities, and, along with that, who can limit their opponent to one opportunity on the offensive side? For Cambridge, the last time they made it to State in Girls Basketball was 2017. And for the Mustangs of SEM, it has been since 2010. So for both squads, it's a big opportunity, to say the least.
