RPAC Volleyball Results as of 10/19

Some teams concluded their regular season last week, and all teams were in action for the RPAC Volleyball Tournament. Check out Thursday's complete recap in the blog and more.



Alma

The Cardinals hosted Hi-Line on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 15-15, 25-21, 25-11. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Alma earned the #4 seed in the East and faced the #5-seeded Hi-Line Bulls for a rematch. Hi-Line took set one 25-19, but the Cardinals took the next three sets with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-18, to win the match, 3-1. The Cardinals advanced to the East Quarterfinals and battled #1 Southwest. Southwest took the first two sets with set scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Alma took the third set 25-22, but the Roughriders took the fourth set 25-22 to win the match, 3-1. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Alma has a record of 13-15 and will face #3 Arapahoe on Monday at Southwest with the first serve at 5:30 P.M. CT.

Arapahoe

On Tuesday, Arapahoe traveled to Norton, KS, for a dual. It was back and forth: the Bluejays took set one 25-19, the Warriors took set two 25-23, Norton took set three 25-15, and Arapahoe took set four 25-18, sending it to the fifth and final set. The Warriors took the fifth set 15-12 to win the match, 3-2. Strand posted 26 kills and nine digs; Clara Hilker had 12 kills, three blocks, and nine digs; Taytym Roskop had six kills, five aces, and 15 digs; Ryleigh Tidyman had five kills and four digs; Chloe Gooden had three aces and six digs; Suttyn Shafer had 24 digs; and Sawyer Shafer had two aces, 11 digs, and 43 assists.


Congratulations to Sawyer Shafer, who set a new school record for assists in a season during this match.


In the first round of the RPAC Tournament, the #3-seeded Warriors battled the #6-seeded Southern Valley. Arapahoe swept the Eagles with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 26-24. Strand had 13 kills, two aces, and three digs; Hilker had 10 kills and 11 digs; Tidyman had five kills and two blocks; Roskop had three aces and six digs; Cydney Carlson had three blocks; Suttyn Shafer had two aces, and 15 digs; Gooden had seven digs; and Sawyer Shafer had three aces, 11 digs, and 31 assists.


Arapahoe advanced to take on #1 Cambridge in the East Quarterfinals. Cambridge took the first two sets with set scores of 25-16 and 25-8. Arapahoe bounced back and took set three 25-22. Cambridge took the fourth set 25-15 and defeated the Warriors 3-1. Strand had 12 kills and four digs; Hilker had 14 kills, three aces, and six digs; Roskop had five kills and 15 digs; Gooden had six digs; Suttyn Shafer had 24 digs; and Sawyer Shafer had 18 digs and 28 assists.


Arapahoe is 15-9 and will face #4 Alma on Monday at Southwest in the consolation match at 5:30 P.M. CT.


Bertrand

The Vikings were off until the RPAC Tournament on Thursday. The East #7-seeded Vikings took on #2 Cambridge and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-20. Livia Philips had eight kills and 21 digs; Addison Andersen had six aces, 16 digs, and 18 assists; Bailey Vinzant had two aces and 13 digs; Addy Sand had 11 digs; Adlea Hock had six digs; and Baylee Kipp had 14 digs.


Bertrand moved to the consolation bracket and faced #6 Southern Valley. The Eagles swept the Vikings, 2-0, with set scores of 25-13 and 25-11. Hock had three kills and six digs; Andersen had two aces, seven digs, and 10 assists; Kipp had 11 digs; and Philips had nine digs.


Bertrand is 4-23 and is off until the sub-district tournament that starts next week.

Cambridge

The Trojans traveled to Southwest on Tuesday for a triangular with the Roughriders and Hitchcock County.


Against the Falcons, the Trojans earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-15 and 25-19. Brooklyn Holtze had nine kills, nine digs, and 13 assists; Mallory Springer had six kills, 19 digs, and eight assists; Joslyn Holtze had five kills and nine digs; and Annabelle Taylor had four kills, two aces, and four digs.


Against Southwest, Cambridge lost the first set 25-21, won the second set 27-25, and lost the third set 25-15, losing the match 2-1. B. Holtze had 12 kills, nine digs, and 11 assists; J. Holtze had 12 kills and eight digs; Springer had 10 kills, 20 digs, and 13 assists; Kolbryn Clason had seven digs; Taylor had seven digs; Kate Salberg had 12 digs; and Elisabeth Kubik had 16 digs.


On Thursday, the #2 seed in the East, Cambridge, swept #7-seeded Bertrand, 3-0, with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-20. B. Holtze had 16 kills, three aces, 16 digs, and 17 assists; Springer had 14 kills, 18 digs, and 21 assists; J. Holtze had 12 kills, three aces, three blocks, and 22 digs; Clason had three aces, two blocks, and nine digs; Kubik had two blocks and 16 digs; Taylor had 12 digs.


The Trojans advanced to the East Quarterfinal match against #3 Arapahoe. Cambridge took the first two sets with set scores of 25-16 and 25-8, but Arapahoe took the third set with a score of 25-22. Cambridge then took the fourth set with a score of 25-15 and took the match 3-1. B. Holtze had 16 kills, three aces, 16 digs, and 17 assists; Springer had 14 kills, 18 digs, and 21 assists; J. Holtze had 12 kills, three aces, three blocks, and 22 digs;  Clason had three aces, two blocks, and nine digs; Kubik had two blocks and 16 digs; Taylor had 12 digs.


Cambridge has a record of 21-7 and advanced to Monday's East semifinal match at 7:00 P.M. at Southwest. They will then play in either the championship match (7:00 P.M. CT) or the consolation match (5:30 P.M. CT) at the McCook Community College Graff Events Center on Tuesday.

Dundy County Stratton

The Tigers traveled to Hershey for a triangular on Tuesday against the Panthers and Perkins County.


Against Hershey, the Tigers came away with the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-22 and 25-16. Emily Schack had seven kills and seven digs; Abi Spargo had six kills, five blocks, and six digs; Clara Spargo had five kills, two blocks, and seven digs; Ava Lutz had three aces and four digs; Kimberly Escobar had eight digs; and Bree Lutz had six digs and 15 assists.


Against Perkins County, DCS was swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-21 and 26-24. Schack had 11 kills, two blocks, and seven digs; C. Spargo had six kills, three blocks, and four digs; A. Spargo had five kills, two aces, two blocks, and five digs; Escobar had five digs; and B. Lutz had 21 assists.


On Thursday, in the first round of the RPAC Tournament, #1 in the West took on #8 Sutherland and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-7. C. Spargo had 12 kills, two blocks, and seven digs; A. Lutz had 10 kills, five aces, and two digs; Schack had nine kills, seven aces, and 12 digs; B. Lutz had two aces, four digs, and 21 assists; A. Spargo had four kills, four blocks, and four digs; and Escobar had eight digs.


Against #5 Maxwell, the Tigers dropped set one 25-23, and the Tigers took the next three sets with scores of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-17 to win the match, 3-1. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Tigers are 22-5 and will face #2 in the West, Maywood-Hayes Center, Monday at home at 7:00 P.M. CT. They will then play in either the championship match (7:00 P.M. CT) or the consolation match (5:30 P.M. CT) at the McCook Community College Graff Events Center on Tuesday.

Hi-Line

The Bulls traveled to Alma on Tuesday and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-11. Lauryn Ruda had eight kills and four digs; Rilee Schutz had five kills, two aces, and five digs; and Klaire Pohl had two aces, five digs, and 13 assists.


On Thursday, #5 in the East Hi-Line faced #3 Alma for a rematch at Southwest. The Bulls took set one, 25-19, and then Alma took the next three sets with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-18, losing the match, 3-1. Schutz had 15 kills, three aces, and 13 digs; Ruda had 12 kills and seven digs; Bristol Kubert had five kills and 13 digs; Bentley Stubbs had 13 digs; Piper Puls had six digs; Kylee Kubert had six digs; and Pohl had two aces, seven digs, and 28 assists.


The Bulls fell to the consolation match and were faced with #8 Medicine Valley. Hi-Line earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-17 and 25-16. Schutz had eight kills, two aces, and 13 digs; Ruda had six kills, two aces, and four digs; B. Kubert had five kills, one ace, and four digs; Stubbs had three aces, two blocks, and nine digs; and Pohl had two aces, five digs, and 18 assists.


Hi-Line advances in the consolation bracket and will face #6 Southern Valley on Monday at 4:00 P.M. at Southwest.

Hitchcock County

The Falcons traveled to Southwest on Tuesday for a triangular with the Roughriders and Cambridge.


Against Southwest, the Falcons were swept 2-0, with set scores of 25-19 and 25-18. Asia Homma had 10 kills and eight digs; Riley Hagan had 14 digs; Kalissa Hagan had 12 digs and five assists; Jayda Wood had 10 digs and 10 assists; and Katelyn Cook had six digs.


Against Cambridge, the Trojans swept the Falcons, 2-0, with set scores of 25-15 and 25-19. Homma had 12 kills and nine digs; R. Hagan had five kills and eight digs; K. Hagan had 10 digs and 11 assists; Wood had six digs and seven assists; and Cook had six digs.


Hitchcock County was the West #6 seed and faced #3 Paxton on Thursday in the RPAC Tournament. The Falcons upset the Tigers in sweeping fashion as they won, 3-0, with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-13. Madysen Carlson had 12 kills and six blocks; Homma had 10 kills, two aces, one block, and 18 digs; R. Hagan had six kills and 17 digs; K. Hagan had 24 digs and 14 assists; E. Hagan had seven digs; Wood had six digs and 19 assists; and Cook had 13 digs.


The Falcons advanced to the West Quarterfinal and faced #2 Maywood-Hayes Center. They were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17. Carlson had 12 kills and five digs; R. Hagan had seven kills, three aces, and 15 digs; Homma had five kills and 14 digs; Cook had two aces and 11 digs; K. Hagan had 18 digs and 13 assists; and Wood had 15 digs and 12 assists.


Hitchcock County is 10-20 and will face #3 Maxwell on Monday at 5:30 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton.


Maxwell

The Tigers hosted Sandhills Valley on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20. Kristyn Cheek had 14 kills and three digs; Madelyn Flock had nine kills and eight digs; Rylynn Quick had eight kills and four digs; Emory Christensen had five kills, two aces, one block, six digs, and 29 assists; Madelynn Nelson had nine aces and 10 digs; and Ellys Gosnell had eight digs.


The West #5 Wildcats faced #4 Wauneta-Palisade and earned the 3-0 sweep in the first round of the RPAC Tournament on Thursday with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-22. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


In the West Quarterfinals, Maxwell faced #1 Dundy County Stratton and took set one with a score of 25-23, but lost the next three sets with scores of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-17, losing the match, 3-1. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Wildcats are 16-11 and will face #6 Hitchcock County in a consolation match on Monday at 5:30 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton.


Maywood-Hayes Center

Maywood-Hayes Center hosted Sutherland on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, you can read more by clicking here. Karissa Stengel had 10 kills, three aces, and nine digs; Blayklee Farr had seven kills and six digs; Haylie Gustafson had six kills; Addison Richards had five kills; Jillian Johnson had five kills, two aces, two blocks, and four digs; Lanie Soundy had five digs and eight assists; Jaylee Sellers had six digs and 12 assists; and Ensley Lawless had 10 digs.


On Thursday during the RPAC Tournament, the #2 seed on the West faced #7 Wallace and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-14, 25-6, and 25-19. Farr had 10 kills and three digs; Stengel had six kills, seven aces, and six digs; Gustafson had five kills and two blocks; Addison Richards had four kills and two blocks; Johnson had four kills; Soundy had five digs and six assists; Sellers had five digs and 12 assists; and Lawless had eight digs.


The Wolves advanced to the West Quarterfinals and faced #6 Hitchcock County. MHC swept the Falcons 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


MHC is now 22-6 and advanced to the West Semifinals and will face #1 Dundy County Stratton at 7:00 P.M. CT at DCS. They will then play in either the championship match (7:00 P.M. CT) or the consolation match (5:30 P.M. CT) at the McCook Community College Graff Events Center on Tuesday.


Medicine Valley

Medicine Valley hosted Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday and were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-13. Kamree Elsten had four kills and six digs; Oakley Stout had 12 digs; TeeJay Hildebrandt had 12 digs; and Gracie Johns had nine assists.


On Thursday, the #8-seeded Raiders traveled to Southwest to take on the #1 Roughriders in the first round of the RPAC Tournament. Medicine Valley was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, and 25-6. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Raiders moved to the consolation match and faced #5 Hi-Line. The Bulls swept the Raiders, 2-0, with set scores of 25-17 and 25-16. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Medicine Valley is 1-24 and has concluded their RPAC Tournament but have one remaining regular season match on Thursday when they travel to Sutherland for a dual.

Paxton

Paxton hosted Kimball on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, and 25-12. Addison Holm had 10 kills and 15 digs; Jakcee Mitchell had 10 kills, six aces, and eight digs; Reece Glinn had six kills, three aces, and 13 digs; Cayla Peterson had nine digs; Jaleigh Hansen had seven digs; and Hadleigh Kramer had nine digs and 24 assists.


The #3 Tigers faced #6 Hitchcock County on Thursday in the first round of the RPAC Tournament. The Tigers were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-13. Holm had 16 kills and 15 digs; Mitchell had six kills and 14 digs; Peterson had 12 digs; Hansen had 20 digs; Glinn had nine digs; and Kramer had 15 digs and 22 assists.


Paxton moved to the consolation bracket and faced #7 Wallace. The Tigers swept the Wildcats, 2-0, with set scores of 25-16 and 25-17. Holm had eight kills and nine digs; Mitchell had six kills and eight digs; Briley Dorram had two blocks; Glinn had five digs; and Kramer had five digs and 16 assists.


Paxton is 17-11 and will face #4 Wauneta-Palisade at 4:00 P.M. CT at Dundy County Stratton on Monday.

Southern Valley

The Eagles were the #6 seed in the East and faced #3 Arapahoe on Thursday in the first round of the RPAC Tournament. Southern Valley was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 26-24. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Eagles fell to the consolation bracket and face #7 Bertrand. Southern Valley earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-13 and 25-11. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Southern Valley is 8-19 and will play Hi-Line at 4:00 P.M. CT on Monday at Southwest. On Thursday, the Eagles will host Wilcox-Hildreth to finish up their regular season.


Southwest

Southwest hosted Hitchcock County and Cambridge for a triangular on Tuesday.


Against the Falcons, Southwest earned the 2-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19 and 25-18. Anikka Nelms 15 kills and 15 digs; Kyra Nelms had 14 kills and five digs; Caitlyn Adams had eight digs; Bellamie Stritt had 16 digs; and Aspen Billeter had eight digs and 27 assists.


Against Cambridge, the Roughriders took set one 25-21, lost set two 27-25, and won set three 25-15 to win the match, 2-1. K. Nelms had 25 kills, three blocks, and 15 digs; A. Nelms had 24 kills and 19 digs; Adams had 11 digs; Stritt had 14 digs; Billeter had 23 digs, three blocks, and 37 assists; and Tagan Stritt had seven digs.


Southwest was the #1 seed in the East and faced #8 Medicine Valley in the first round of the RPAC Tournament on Thursday. The Roughriders earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, and 25-6. K. Nelms had 14 kills, two aces, and six digs; A. Nelms had eight kills, four aces, and eight digs; Adams had five aces and three digs; Billeter had four aces, two digs, and 21 assists; and B. Stritt had five digs.


Southwest advanced to the East Quarterfinals and faced #4 Alma. The Roughriders took sets one and two with set scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Alma took set three with a score of 25-22, but Southwest took the fourth set 25-22 to take the match, 3-1. K. Nelms had 35 kills, three blocks, and eight digs; A. Nelms had 14 kills, two aces, and five digs; Adams had 10 digs; B. Stritt had 11 digs; and Billeter had 14 digs and 46 assists.


Southwest is 24-4 and will face #2 Cambridge in the East Semifinal on Monday at home at 7:00 P.M. CT. They will then play in either the championship match (7:00 P.M. CT) or the consolation match (5:30 P.M. CT) at the McCook Community College Graff Events Center on Tuesday.



Sutherland

The #8 seed on the West, Sutherland, faced #1 Dundy County Stratton in the first round of the RPAC Tournament on Thursday. Sutherland was swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-7. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Sailors moved to the consoaltion match and faced #4 Wauneta-Palisade. The Sailors were swept, 2-0, with set scores of 25-21 and 25-14. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Sutherland is 6-21 and while they are done with the RPAC Tournament, they have a regular season match on Thursday when they host Medicine Valley.

Wallace

On Tuesday, Wallace traveled to Garden County for a triangular with the Eagles and Potter-Dix.


Against Garden County, the Wildcats were swept 2-0, with set scores of 25-12 and 25-15. Reagan Finley had four kills; Mariana Aceves-Lopez had 11 digs; and Kaley Sauser had five assists.


Against Potter-Dix, Wallace lost set one 25-23, and won sets two and three with set scores of 25-20 and 25-21 to win the match, 2-1. Sauser had 11 kills, three aces, six digs, and 11 assists; Finley had nine kills, two aces, and eight digs; Regan Martin had five kills and two blocks; Aceves-Lopez had two aces, seven digs, and 15 assists; and Maddison Gartrell had 14 digs.


Wallace was the #7 seed in the West and faced #2 Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday. The Wildcats were swept, 3-0, with set scores of 25-14, 25-6, and 25-19. Finley had six kills, five assists; and three aces; Sauser had five kills, seven digs, and seven assists; Gartrell had 10 digs; and Aceves-Lopez had 11 digs.


Wallace moved to the consolation bracket bracket and faced #3 Paxton. The Tigers swept the Wildcats 2-0 with set scores of 25-16 and 25-17. Sauser had three kills, two digs, and four assists; Gartrell had three kills; Aceves-Lopez had six digs; Finley had eight digs and three assists; and Afton Nelms had five digs.


Wallace is now 7-20 on the year and is off until districts next week.


Wauneta-Palisade

The Broncos traveled to Medicine Valley on Tuesday and earned the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-13. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


The Bronocos were the #4 seed in the West and faced #5 Maxwell. The Broncos were swept 3-0 with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-22. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Wauneta-Palisade moved to the consolation bracket and faced #8 Sutherland. The Broncos earned the 2-0 swee with set scores of 25-21 and 25-14. No stats have been reported yet -- When they are updated, we will update the blog.


Wauneta-Palisade is 16-11 and will face #3 Paxton on Monday at Dundy County Stratton in a consolation match at 4:00 P.M. CT. They will also host Arthur County on Thursday.
