The Semifinals are Set for the 2026 Girls RPAC Basketball Tournament

On Monday, January 26th, the RPAC Girls Basketball Tournament resumed. On the East side, they played at Southern Valley Public Schools; on the West side, they played at Paxton Consolidated Schools.
Reminder: the RPAC Girls Basketball Tournament resumes on Thursday, with the West playing at Wallace and the East at Southwest.
Let’s dive into the results now.

First, for the consolation bracket.
On the West side, the first game of the day was #5 seeded Hitchcock County versus #8 seeded Wallace. The Falcons got out to a quick start and really never looked back. They led at halftime 41-12.
The Falcons ended up winning 70-21.
Kaley Sauser of Wallace had 8 points. Wallace is done in the RPAC Tournament now.
For Hitchcock County, Madysen Carlson led the scoring with 15 points. Kalissa Hagan had 10. The Falcons will now play in the consolation bracket against #7 seeded Maxwell at 4:30 P.M. CT in Wallace.

For the East side, it was #5 seeded Southern Valley versus #8 seeded Medicine Valley. Southern Valley took a double-digit lead at halftime, 29-19.
The Eagles pressed forward and ended up winning by a final score of 50-26. Medicine Valley was led by Oakley Stout’s 16 points. For Southern Valley, Emercen Lovitt had 20 points, Lauren Quinn had 12, and Tori Bose had 10.
The Raiders are now done in the RPAC Tournament.
For Southern Valley they will play in the consolation bracket against #6 seed Bertrand at 4:30 P.M. CT at Southwest.

Our next game in the West, it was #7 seeded Maxwell versus #6 seeded Sutherland. In the first quarter, it was close, 16-13 in favor of Maxwell. In the second quarter, the Wildcats increased their lead a little, 28-20.
Maxwell had another strong half, and they won the game 56-42.
Sutherland was led by Phoenix Brown with 12 points, and Eliana Dyer had 11. Sutherland’s RPAC Tournament comes to a close.
For Maxwell, they were led by Kristyn Cheek’s 20 points and Emory Christensen’s 19.
The Wildcats will now face #5 seed Hitchcock County on Thursday at 4:30 P.M. CT in Wallace.
On the East side, it was #7 seeded Hi-Line versus #6 seeded Bertrand. Hi-Line had the lead at halftime, 25-17. Bertrand, though, made a comeback and tied up at 43-43 and forced overtime. The Vikings controlled the overtime period and won 56-45.
Hi-Line’s RPAC Tournament has come to a close. For the Bulls, Olivia Wall had 15 points, and Whitney Wall had 11.
Bertrand will now face #5 seeded Southern Valley at 4:30 P.M. CT at Southwest in the consolation bracket. For the Vikings, Addison Andersen led the scoring with 21 points and Livia Philips had 16 points.

For the West, it was #1 seeded Dundy County Stratton versus #4 seeded Wauneta-Palisade. The Tigers came out dominant, leading 50-11 at halftime.
DCS ended up winning 62-35.
Kamryn Fanning had 22 points for the Broncos. For Wauneta-Palisade, they will now play on Thursday against #3 seed Paxton at 6:00 P.M. CT at Wallace.
The Tigers will compete in the West Finals against #2 seeded Maywood-Hayes Center on Thursday at 7:30 P.M. CT in Wallace. Clara Spargo had 20 points. Abi Spargo totaled 14 points.

For the East it was #1 seeded Alma versus #4 seeded Southwest. Alma created a big lead at halftime, 39-18.
The Cardinals kept it rolling, winning 68-29.
For Alma, Kamryn Scott led the scoring with 27 points. Vayden Epp had 12, and Kamri Neal had 11. Alma will now play in the RPAC semifinals against #2 seeded Arapahoe at 7:30 P.M. CT at Southwest on Thursday.
For Southwest, they were paced by Aspen Billeter and Anikka Nelms, each with 11 points. They will now face #3 seed Cambridge on Thursday at Southwest, at 6:00 P.M. CT.

Our final games of the day featured the West #2 Maywood-Hayes Center versus #3 Paxton. And for the East, #2 Arapahoe versus #3 Cambridge.
For the West matchup, Maywood-Hayes Center won 65-38
MHC was able to create some distance in the first half, up 31-21. Both teams were playing fast.
MHC was led by Blayklee Farr and Caylie Softley with 15 points each, and Karissa Stengel had 12. Maywood-Hayes Center will be in the semifinals once again, as they will play #1 seeded Dundy County Stratton at 7:30 P.M. CT on Thursday in Wallace.
For Paxton, they were led by15 points from Ella Fote and 9 from Jaleigh Hanson. Paxton will play in the consolation bracket against Wauneta-Palisade on Thursday at 6:00 P.M. CT in Wallace.

In the East matchup, Arapahoe won 58-37. The Warriors had a double-digit lead at halftime, 36-23. They were able to build on that lead in the second half and advance to the East Finals.
Saywer Shafer led the team in scoring with 25 points and had five three-pointers. Suttyn Shafer had 15 points, and Clara Hilker scored 11. Arapahoe will play #1 seeded Alma on Thursday at 7:30 P.M. CT at Southwest.
Aspen Webb scored 15 for Cambridge with five threes, and Brooklyn Holtze had 12. Cambridge will play in the consolation bracket against #4 seed Southwest at 6:00 P.M. CT at Southwest
