RPAC Girls Basketball Results as of 1/18

It was a full week last week, and teams are preparing for the RPAC Tournament, which begins this Friday. Check out how the teams did last week.

Alma


The Cardinals hosted Amherst on Tuesday and defeated the Broncos 61-33. Kamryn Scott had 18 points, three assists, and four steals; Kamri Neal had 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Kinley Ford had 13 points, five rebounds, nine assists, and nine steals; Tierston Moore had six points, eight rebounds, and three assists; and Vayden Epp had five points, four rebounds, and three steals.


On Thursday, Alma hosted Hi-Line and defeated the Bulls, 64-18. Scott had 13 points, five assists, and five steals; Ford had 12 points, six assists, and seven steals; Neal had nine points; Taylor Pool had seven points; Epp had six points and three assists; and Aysha Neal had six points, two assists, and four steals.


The Cardinals took a road trip to Hitchcock County on Friday and earned the 74-17 win. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can click here to read the full recap. Ford had 27 points, six assists, and four steals; Scott had 12 points and five steals; Epp had seven points, five rebounds, and seven assists; Moore had six points; K. Neal had six points; and A. Neal had five points.


Alma is 14-1 and will host Elm Creek on Tuesday before the RPAC tournament begins. The RPAC basketball tournament will begin on Friday, and the Cardinals are the #1 seed in the East and will face #8 Medicine Valley in Cambridge at 3:00 P.M. CT.


Arapahoe


Arapahoe traveled to Loomis on Tuesday and defeated the Wolves, 58-37. Sawyer Shafer had 23 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals; Ryleigh Tidyman had 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals; Suttyn Shafer had eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals; Clara Hilker had six points and four rebounds; Emma Strand had six points and four rebounds; and Chloe Gooden had five points, five rebounds, and five steals.


On Friday, Arapahoe hosted Hi-Line and defeated the Bulls, 71-29. Sawyer Shafer had a record-breaking night as she broke the school record for 3s in a game, making seven. She shot 50% from three, going 7-14. She finished the night with 31 points, four assists, and nine steals; Hilker had 14 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals; Suttyn Shafer had nine points, six assists, and five steals; Gooden had six points, four rebounds, and three steals; Tidyman had six points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals; and Strand had five rebounds and six assists.


The Warriors are 12-2 and will host Axtell on Tuesday before the RPAC Tournament. Arapahoe is the #2 seed in the East and will face #7 Hi-Line on Friday at 7:30 P.M. CT in Cambridge.



Bertrand


Bertrand had a lighter week as they were off until they traveled to Southwest on Friday. The Vikings lost in a close one, 52-49. Addison Andersen had 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals; Livia Philips had 17 points and five rebounds; Baylee Kipp had five points; and Adrian Sand had five points and three assists.


The Vikings hosted Overton on Saturday and lost to the Eagles, 51-25. Andersen had nine points, eight rebounds, and four steals; Ashlynn Edgren had six points and four rebounds; Philips had five rebounds; and Sand had four points and four rebounds.


Bertrand is 5-10 and will travel to Maywood-Hayes Center on Tuesday before the conference tournament. The Vikings are the #6 seed in the East and will face #3 Cambridge on Friday at 6:00 P.M. CT in Cambridge.


Cambridge


The Trojans traveled to Medicine Valley on Tuesday and defeated the Raiders 61-23. Aspen Webb had 16 points, six rebounds, and two steals; Mallory Springer had 14 points and seven rebounds; Brookyln Holtze had 10 points and three steals; Joslyn Holtze had seven points, three assists, and six steals; Ruth Harris had five points; Regina Pena had three steals; and Elisabeth Kubik had eight rebounds and four assists.


On Friday, Cambridge traveled to Sutherland and defeated the Sailors, 63-26. J. Holtze had 16 points, five assists, and four steals; Kolbrynn Clason had 15 points and five steals; Springer had 13 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks; Webb had nine points and four rebounds; and Kubik had seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Cambridge improves to 10-3 and will travel to Wauneta-Palisade on Tuesday. The Trojans are the #3 seed in the RPAC East and will face #6 Bertrand at 6:00 P.M. CT on Friday at home.

Dundy County Stratton


The Tigers hosted Hitchcock County on Tuesday and earned the 61-40 win. Abi Spargo had 26 points, nine rebounds, two assists, eight steals, and two blocks; Kimberly Escobar had nine points and three assists; Clara Spargo had eight points and three rebounds; Emily Schack had eight points, 12 rebounds, and three assists; and Ava Lutz had six points and six rebounds.


On Thursday, DCS hosted Medicine Valley and defeated the Raiders, 53-15. A. Spargo had 23 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and two steals; C. Spargo had 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals; and Schack had seven points and eight rebounds.


The Tigers hosted Loomis on Saturday and defeated the Wolves, 64-27. C. Cpargo had 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals; and two blocks; Schack had 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals; Lutz had eight pointsand four rebounds; A. Spargo had seven points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals; and Escobar had eight points, three rebounds, three assists, and five steals.


DCS improves to 13-0 and will travel to Wallace on Tuesday. The Tigers are the #1 seed in the West and will face #8 Wallace on Friday at 3:00 P.M. CT at Wauneta-Palisade.


Hi-Line


On Tuesday, the Bulls hosted Southwest and lost to the Roughriders, 80-48. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can click here to read the full recap. Olivia Wall had 14 points; Bentley Stubbs had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Whitney Wall had six points, eight assists, and four steals; and Dynastee Redden had six points and four rebounds.

Hitchcock County


The Falcons traveled to Dundy County Stratton and lost to the Tigers 61-40. Asia Homma had 10 points and nine rebounds; Kalissa Hagan had 10 points and five rebounds; Madysen Carlson had eight points and 10 rebounds; and Aspen Hazlitt had eight points, six rebounds, and four steals.

Maxwell


Maxwell traveled to Maywood-Hayes Center on Tuesday and lost to the Wolves, 51-41. Kristyn Cheek had 20 points, six rebounds, and two steals; Madelyn Flock had seven points, five rebounds, and two steals; Madelynn Nelson had seven points, seven rebounds, and three assists; and Emory Christensen had seven points, eight rebounds, and two steals.


On Friday, Maxwell traveled to South Loup and defeated the Bobcats, 56-18. Cheek had 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists; Flock had 16 points and four steals; Christensen had 12 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four steals, and four blocks; Elly Gosnell had three points and five rebounds; and Rylyn Quick had four points.

Maywood-Hayes Center


The Wolves had a light week, with only one game and a Tuesday home game against Maxwell. MHC won 51-41. Caylie Softley had 22 points, seven rebounds, and three steals; Karissa Stengel had 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals; Blayklee Farr had four points, six rebounds, and four steals; Haylie Gustafson had 10 rebounds; and Ava Messersmith had four steals.


Maywood-Hayes Center improved to 13-1 and will host Bertrand on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament begins on Friday, and the Wolves are the #2 seed and will face #7 Maxwell at Wauneta-Palisade at 7:30 P.M. CT.

Medicine Valley


The Raiders hosted Cambridge on Tuesday and lost to the Trojans, 61-23. Oakley Stout had eight points; Delaney Evans had seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals; and TeeJay Hildebrandt had four rebounds.


On Thursday, Medicine Valley traveled to Dundy County Stratton and was defeated, 53-15. Stout had three points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks; Evans had three points; Kamree Elsten had four steals; and Jordiya Phillips had four rebounds.


Medicine Valley hosted Mullen on Friday and lost to the Broncos, 66-33. Stout had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks; Evans had five points and four rebounds; Elsten had seven rebounds, three steals, and two blocks; Kaedance Phelps had four rebounds; Kenley Cole had 10 rebounds; Phillips had four rebounds; and Brooke Kotschwar had 10 rebounds.


The Raiders are 2-11 and will travel to Sutherland on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament starts on Friday, and Medicine Valley is the #8 seed and will play #1 Alma at 3:00 P.M. CT at Cambridge.

Paxton


Paxton hosted Creek Valley on Thursday and won 60-15. Jakcee Mitchell had 15 points and 11 rebounds; Natalie Jorgensen had 14 points, six rebounds, and four steals; Jaleigh Hansen had 10 points and five steals; Ella Fote had eight points, three assists, and three steals; and Addison Holm had eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.


The Tigers hosted Wallace on Friday and defeated the Wildcats, 74-11. Jorgensen had 18 points and four rebounds; Hansen had 16 points and four steals; Mitchell had 11 points, five rebounds, and seven steals; Holm had eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and seven steals; Fote had six points; and Reece Glinn had five rebounds.


Paxton is 9-4 and will travel to Hitchcock County on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament starts on Friday, and the Tigers are the #3 seed and will face #6 Sutherland at Wauneta-Palisade at 6:00 P.M. CT.


Southern Valley


Southern Valley hosted Chase County on Tuesday and came away with a narrow 45-43 victory in overtime. Emercen Lovitt had 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals; Tori Bose had 13 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, and two steals; Lauren Quinn had six points, four rebounds, and three steals; and Anna Hamilton had five points.


On Friday, the Eagles hosted Holdrege and lost 63-21. Lovitt had 11 points and three rebounds; Bose had nine points and four rebounds; and Quinn had four rebounds.


Southern Valley is 7-8 and will travel to Shelton on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament starts on Friday, and the Eagles are the #5 seed and will face #4 Southwest at 4:30 P.M. CT in Cambridge.



Southwest


On Tuesday, the Roughriders traveled to Hi-Line and defeated the Bulls, 80-48. This was an RPAC Rundown Featured Matchup, and you can click here to read the full recap. Anikka Nelms had 32 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals; Aspen Billeter had 24 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and five steals; Kassidy Vaughn had 10 points; and Caitlyn Adams had five points, four assists, and three steals.


Southwest hosted Bertrand on Friday and defeated the Vikings, 52-49. Billeter had 20 points, 23 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks; Nelms had 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists; Vaughn had eight points, nine rebounds, and two steals; and Adams had six points, three rebounds, and three assists.


The Roughriders are 8-6 and are off until the RPAC Tournament, which begins on Friday. Southwest is the #4 seed and will face #5 Southern Valley in Cambridge at 4:30 P.M. CT.


Sutherland


On Tuesday, the Sailors traveled to Arthur County and got the win, 41-39. Phoenix Brown had 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals; Eliana Dyer had 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists; Bryer Brown had eight points and four rebounds; and Addisyn Gunderson had six points.


The Sailors hosted Cambridge on Friday and fell to the Trojans, 63-26. P. Brown had nine points, 14 rebounds, and two steals, and B. Brown had six points, three rebounds, and four steals.


On Saturday, Hitchcock County traveled to Sutherland and defeated the Sailors, 58-31. P. Brown had nine points, 16 rebounds, and three steals.


Sutherland is 5-8 and will host Medicine Valley on Tuesday before the RPAC Tournament. The Sailors are the #6 seed in the West and will face #3 Paxton at 6:00 P.M. CT in Wauneta-Palisade on Friday.


Wallace


The Wildcats hosted South Platte on Thursday and picked up the 40-37 win. Kaley Sauser had 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals, and Elianna Robertson had 14 points and nine rebounds.


Wallace traveled to Paxton on Friday and lost to the Tigers 74-11. Sauser had eight points, and Robertson had nine rebounds.


Wallace is 2-10 and will host Dundy County Stratton on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament begins on Friday, and the Wildcats are the #8 seed and will face Dundy County Stratton at Wauneta-Palisade at 3:00 P.M. CT.


Wauneta-Palisade


The Broncos hosted South Platte on Tuesday and won 51-38. No stats had been uploaded at the time of writing this blog. As soon as they have been uploaded, we will update the blog.


Wauneta-Palisade was scheduled to host Perkins County on Friday, but due to the high winds, the game was postponed.


On Saturday, Wauneta-Palisade traveled to Garden County and defeated the Eagles, 43-41. No stats had been uploaded at the time of writing this blog. As soon as they have been uploaded, we will update the blog.


The Bronocos are 9-5 and will host Cambridge on Tuesday. The RPAC Tournament begins on Friday, and Wauneta-Palisade, the #5 seed, will face #6 Hitchcock County at 4:30 P.M. CT at home.
